Service was great. We had a large group and they re-arranged things to accommodate us. Food was also delicious, everyone loved their meals.
Went here for an amazing Sunday brunch a few weeks ago and it was terrific. Came back for dinner with family after Bentley U. graduation and had a relaxed dinner and cocktails. The dinner menu wasn’t as enticing as the brunch menu but I enjoyed my apple and squash pizza and the fish and chips looked really good as well. Great pub vibe and atmosphere for drinks or a meal. Staff was friendly and there’s complimentary parking when you make an online reservation.
The food here used to be amazing so it was a little disappointing it wasn't as good as it used to be. It was still good. The calamari appetizer has different spices and was a bit overcooked. My fried chicken sandwich was also slightly overcooked. The drinks and service were awesome. Overall a great experience.
We were looking for a special place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary on our trip to Boston. We arrived at Logan in the morning and made our way to Harvard. I was pleased to find the restaurant on the same street as two bookstores and across the street from the campus. Although it was cold and cloudy, it would have been nice to sit outside. The inside was lovely - and the food was exceptional. I had the Salmon BLT - best ever. Our waiter, Sam was great. He was funny, knowledgeable and made our dining experience outstanding. I would highly recommend this to anyone travelling or locals who want a great restaurant.
It was outstanding, particularly the service! Highly recommend
Thoroughly enjoyed the Mother's Day Brunch! The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
The place was good but the food was just okay. I ordered the tarragon chicken salad wrap. Good size portion but the tarragon was overwhelming. Couldn't taste anything else but tarragon
Brunch was pleasant enough and we were comfortably seated. We probably enjoy coming here more at dinner time.
Great service and excellent food, including salmon cooked perfectly, with attention paid to my allergies. Ryan was an excellent server, playful and conscientious, during a busy Friday night. The ONLY thing that marred an otherwise perfect evening was that, in the booth we were seated in, two of us threw our heads back while laughing and hit, very hard, the rail at the top of the booth. It was jarring, causing both of us pain, and leaving one of us with a significant bruise several days later. We mentioned it to several workers, who indicated it had happened before and who laughed the whole thing off. We would have preferred a response that indicated that steps would be taken to prevent future injuries.
I would definitely go again, but would ask to be seated in a chair!
Service was a little slow but overall a nice experience
Couldn’t have been a nicer experience.
Good option for Harvard Square
Great burgers! Pork chop was also yummy with delicious accompaniments. Service was very good, and the free parking is an added plus.
Good brunch menu. Lovely beers
This place is a great spot for an affordable but yummy meal in Harvard Square. Check out the late night- great menu and $1 oysters. The beer selection is lovely. Highly recommend this place
Food was meh!
Delicious! Like that you can choose mixed greens instead of fries with the burger (which was very yummy). Those greens were unusually tender and sweet, and the dressing was applied in the perfect amount, minimal but so nicely flavorful, you didn't need more. Plus the amount of greens was fantastic! Mounded over most of the plate!!!
Unexpectedly kid-friendly on a Saturday evening. A pleasant surprise!
Our server wasn't as much fun as usual - pretty impersonal - and the steak was a bit chewier (both of them) than usual. The salmon was a little cool as if it had been waiting a bit to be picked up. Just think it was an off-night. The mussels were fantastic as always and we still ate everything and were happy, it's just that usually we are really happy! We will definitely be back :)
This is one of my favorites. A
little more noisy than usual due to St Pat's day partying. Still we were able to converse easily, had a nice window view.
We had a 7 pm reservation and didn’t get seated until close to 8 pm. The rather disinterested host kept telling us that “our table” had paid their check before 7 pm but just weren’t getting up to leave. Once finally seated, things were fine but the hosts need some lessons in customer service .
This is our second visit and we love this restaurant. It was St. Patrick's Day so it was super busy and we were seated a few minutes late, but other than that it was a wonderful experience. The beer selection was great and the food was fantastic. One of us had the one of the specials, which was fabulous Lamb Stew, the other had a menu option that was creative and flavorful (the butternut ravioli). The staff was courteous, helpful and well paced. We never felt rushed, even on a clearly busy night.
The server must have had a bad night. We were ignored at first and then again after the meals were served. The scallops were overcooked and the steak frites were fine.
The cocktails were good, as was the craft beer, service was excellent. The fried fish in the fish & chips was flavorless, gummy and served w/ what seemed to be plain mao instead of tartar sauce, the fries were thin, limp, cold shoe strings, not what I'd consider chips. The risotto in the scallop dish tasted reheated, overcooked, flavorless, but the scallops were wonderfully fresh. Best thing was the fried calamari & peppers. If I were to meet friends here again in the future, I'd get that and a ceasar salad, maybe give the pizza a go.
Conveniently located right in Harvard Square.
Good food at reasonable prices. Very attentive and courteous hosts and servers.
Have been coming here for years after the Hasty Pudding show.
Always good, always nice, keep it up!
There were 7 of us ranging from teen to adult with a vegetarian, and a few with various food allergies and everyone was able to find something great to eat from appetizer to main course and desserts to finish off the evening. The atmosphere was great as well. The prices I felt were reasonable as well for the amount of food we received. This restaurant is really good!
The butternut squash ravioli was exceptionally good. The fish and chips were mediocre . Squid appetizer was good.
No complaints, only praise for consistently wonderful meals, ambiance and service. We have become "regulars", pre- and post- events in or near Harvard Square. Conversation and seating are comfortable, every dish has been great and beautifully presented (salmon; burgers; veggie ravioli; pizzas; and more). Drink options are numerous and generous. We have intro'd.many friends and encourage you to experience what we have enjoyed for many years, in all seasons.
Excellent brunch for the third time!! Always great service, wonderful atmosphere, and fresh food.
We dined at Grafton Street Bar & Grill looking for a good meal with a business colleague. Made reservation on Open Table. We were seated within about 10 minutes of our arrival time. Could have had a drink but decided to wait.
We were seated by a lovely hostess at a nice table. Loved the ambiance of the place. Based on a recommendation by the waitress, I ordered the pork chop and the beet salad, my colleague ordered the Scallops, no salad. Beet salad was amazing and quite large, could almost be a non-protein meal in itself. The pork chops and root vegetables were accompanied by a delicious glaze. My only complaint that the pork chops were over-cooked. Easy to do but a good chef would know when to take them off the fire at the right time. None the less, I still enjoyed the meal. The scallops were accompanied by a nice risotto. To me, scallops can often be a disappointment since you typically only get 3 or four. There were only four but they were very large. Colleague said both the scallops and risotto were great and he was very full when done.
I would recommend Grafton Street B&G as we had an overall good meal and evening.
Our window table was very nice. Otherwise it might have been too noisy. Our server was excellent. Just the right level of attention and prompt with the check.
We enjoyed the setting, love the booths and high tops. It was nice that we could hear each other- wasn’t too loud!
Grafton St is recommended highly for its location and the space; food was fine as well though not particularly memorable. Oh and our server was having an off day. . .to be charitable. But still recommended for the excellent room, the opportunity to catch up in the heart of Cambridge, people-watch, etc.
The food was good but not great. The dessert was sad looking and not presented well. It was overpriced for the food.
Service could be better. Our server was new i guess. He did not know much. They forgot to make the omlette well done (which we sent back) and they did an ok job when they brought it back. We hadn’t even cleared ohr table when another server was cleaning the table next to us and literally sprayed the cleaning spray on me (quite a bit). When i looked up at her she barely managed a mumble of a sorry. There were just too many little things that didnt seem right. In a time of great service, when you experience even mediocre service, you never want to recommend that spot to anyone.
First visit to Grafton but we are big fans of Hourly Oyster and Russell House Tavern. Food was very good but service was fair...waitress friendly and tried her best! Service was extremely slow and did not seem well versed with menu and struggled to answer questions. She could not tell us where the oysters where from but after a few questions we were able to look up on iphone and they were delicious! We had similar response when asking about menu items...will try again.
Very pleasant evening. Good food, good service, good atmosphere and reasonably priced.
Nice place for lunch
