We always have a great experience here. Food is excellent. Ambiance is great-you can actually carry on a conversation and hear each other.
Gracie's has lovely, old-fashioned old world charm. It's a perfect place to take your mother for brunch on Mother's Day. My lady friends and I have an annual lunch there on our Aries birthdays. Always have a great time. Love the Hollywood decor.
This is truly a 5 star restaurant. Elegant dining and atmosphere. You are stepping back into the 1950’s golden age of Hollywood: where men wore suits to dinner and ladies wore pearls. Awesome experience.
The kind and generous front and back-of-house staff took great care of us during our special occasion dinner. Food and drinks were delicious, the ambiance was romantic and quiet, and the whole hotel attitude is just a great experience. We felt like valued guests. Not our first visit, and not our last!
Wonderful local restaurant with nice ambience. Great place to have a quiet visit with friends. Lovely decor. The lobster/grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato soup was delicious comfort food. If you go on a week-end you can order breakfast until 1pm or order from their lunch menu. We look forward to our next visit!
We had a birthday breakfast and it was so good! Freshly squeezed orange juice is delicious and the service was great!!
My friends and I enjoy coming to Gracie's for special occasions. We like the ambiance of old fashioned elegance....and the service and food are always good.
I love this place every time I come here. Great staff, tasty and varied menu in an elegant setting.
We received terrific service, excellent food and accommodations. We were a challenging group on a busy Easter Sunday and they were as gracious as could be. I have already recommended Gracie's and I will go back there again.
EASTER.. was a great brunch. one thing I might mention: We asked if we could split 2 meals so we each could have half. we were surprised there was not one but two charges for the split.. if we would have known there was a charge x 2 we would have done the split ourselves.. We did not even know there would be a charge..
We went for Easter Sunday brunch. First time here, and it met all of my expectations. Very elegant. Everyone was dressed in their Sunday Easter best. The service was fantastic. The food was very good, and they had quite a selection. 2 for one mimosas was a plus! And the bathroom!!! My daughter ran back to get her phone to take pics of the mirrors. Just beautiful!
Easter brunch. The lobster omelette with bacon was very heavy and too greasy.
The food was good, but the wine prices were way too high for mediocre bottles.
The food was fabulous (my husband loves the steak & eggs here), the room was beautiful and the service was very attentive. With our 1:30pm reservation, the restaurant was practically deserted (only 5 tables with a total of 11 people, including the 3 of us). Unfortunately, they lined most of us up on the same wall about 6 inches from each other. I could hardly hear my husband and daughter talking and I could hear everything our neighbors were saying. It was as if we were all at the same table. I understand the need to prep for Afternoon Tea, but it would be more considerate to let people have some space until it's actually time to clear guests out (this happens at 2:45pm). Because we had our daughter with us, the bar wasn't an option. Since this was my husband's birthday brunch, I was really hoping the experience would feel more special.
Gracie’s seems to have faulted since we last ate there. Maybe it was just a bad night for them. The food was just so so but the service was excellent.
I reviewed Gracie's last November and we've been there several times since, so I'll just basically repeat my review from before. It's elegant but welcoming at the same time. My niece was in town and we wanted to take her somewhere nice. The curved booths at Gracie's are perfect for a party of three (or two, but three works very well). Jordan was our server, on our request, and he was up to his usual standard of courtesy and efficiency. The Portland Dining Month menu was delicious, and it's always a good way to go when it's available.
This place is great for a date. We went for Portland Dining Month 2018. It wasn't the best meal I've ever had here, I'll be honest. But overall it was very good food, and I just love the experience of dining at Gracie's! It's so old school and fancy.
I had my birthday party of 8 people there. Our first time experience in Gracie’s was amazing. Food was delicious! The Server Jordan was fabulous, very attentive and very professional. Definitely will request him to be our server next time!
We have our monthly lunches at Gracie’s and are always happy with the food, servicw and ambiance. 5 stars for sure.
Took my parents and boyfriend. We selected from the Portland Dining Month menu ($33 for three courses). The food was both delicious and great value!
Disappointed that they didn’t acknowledge the details of my reservation requests being a corner table and being there for a birthday. We called that we were a little late and my husband told them we were there for my birthday and it was not acknowledged when we got there. Was looking forward to the chocolate cake with kahlua ganache and it was very dry with not much ganache in the cake - too bad. Enjoyed the beautiful ambience however.
The food and wine pairing was a great experience. Recommend the mushroom ravioli and salmon, also the carrot bisque. Chocolate espresso cake was dry and wouldn’t recommend. Ambience was lovely. We would return again.
We visited during Portland Dining Month and were not disappointed. We also did the wine pairing and it was great.
Great food and service throughout the night. We went for a birthday and Gracie’s had the perfect environment to enjoy the meal. Beautiful decor and I will definitely recommend to others!
We will go back. Our server Jordan was very helpful. Our food was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Highly recommend
My mother, sister and I took my sister-in-law to be to brunch at Gracie’s. The food was wonderful, the service fantastic and the ambiance very classy without feeling pretentious or stuffy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable yet upscale dining experience.
Went for Portland Dining Month. Portions small.
The food was amazing, but the portions after 3 courses , i was still hungry. Cocktails were very well crafted and tasty.
I have had lunch at Gracie's, and High Tea for a special occasion. On both occasions, My husband, my girlfriends, and I all had a wonderful time in the beautiful atmosphere of Gracie's, assessed the food to be exceptional, healthy and tasty, and service excellent.
Thank you Gracie's,
We went for Portland Dining month and appreciated that there were three choices for each course. A lot of restaurants only offer one entrée and cheap out on dessert. We wanted to try the Driftwood Lounge but it is small and was full. They did serve us in the lobby while we waited for our reservation, and the service was outstanding. When we moved into the restaurant, the decor is old Hollywood but not overly opulent. It's a smaller dining space, rather cozy, nice music playing. Wonderful wine list and cocktail menu. Every bite of our meal was delicious and some unique offerings. The wait staff was attentive, courteous, friendly, informative. Phenomenal experience all around.
Wonderful atmosphere and amazing food! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone.
We were very disappointed. Drinks were very slow in coming and were poorly made. I mean, how do you screw up a Mojito? Waitress said they had new bartender.
Entree portions were smallish and average in appeal and taste. Chocolate cake was very dry, even the icing was dry.
Ambiance was very nice. It would have been nicer if the grand piano were being played.
Service was good, however, wait staff seemed rushed. Perhaps an absent member left them short.
All-in-all, a rather poor experience after reading how good this restaurant is.
This was our first visit to Gracies and our first experience with Portland Dining Month. The dishes were delectable! I had the beet salad and chanterelle ravioli and my husband had the gulf prawns and beef cheeks. Everything was fantastic from the service to the last bite. We will definitely return.
Went to Gracies for Portland Dining Month- 3 course dinner with several choices for starter, main and dessert. Each dish was creative, arranged beautifully, and served well. Paired with wine pour for each of the 3 that was well chose, all Northwest wines. Server was informed, had good suggestions and we were completely satisfied.
Came for portland dining month, great food, small portions, but satisfying and so tasty!
Great food and its decor is very beautiful. The service was really good. The way the tables are situated might not be everyone's cup of tea, but we liked it.
Our group of 8 went for Portland Dines Out and we were treated as honored guests. A wonderful dining experience.
We went for Portland dining months food and service were good only negative was the portions were incredibly small we ended up having to order a hamburger to go after
Gracie's is a hotel restaurant offering comfort food with great local ingredients. The decor is a mashup of comfort and elegance, great for a romantic date or a proper business dinner. The service is attentive but not overbearing. Make sure to save room for dessert. My recommendation is the White Chocolate Mousse. The chocolate espresso cake is good choice for those interested in a rich, dense and less sweet option.
Gracie's is, without a doubt, the best place for brunch in Portland.
