For a special occasion or a once-in-awhile nice evening out this is a great place. Everyone is attentive and friendly and the food is excellent. This was our second time here and, at each dinner, had several different selections, all very good. We’ll be back again.
Great service and atmosphere
Have been here many times, always a relaxed ambience where you can enjoy actually enjoy conversation with others. The food was exceptionally good this visit. Very tasty!
Third visit.
Service and professionalism lacking.
Unlikely to return.
Inconsistent quality level of standard items on the brunch menu. Service was on the slow side, unfortunately.
Will not return.
We had a group of 7 and it was a 21st birthday celebration that I had notified them of this before hand and they put us in the corner by the kitchen entrance so the ambience was lacking. Would have been nice to be in the middle of the room. There were a lot of empty tables all night. Would have made for a better experience. Also, on Open Table it said there was not a corkage fee but when I arrived it was 20.00 a bottle.
Service was very slow as well.
This was the night of a lecture at a nearby facility. I had a reservation weeks prior and was informed the day before that they would be serving a “price fixed”menu. The price was $45 each which was pretty steep. The food was good and probably not overpriced but more than I would have ordered given a choice.
I arrived earlier than my reservation, as the restaurant had called me the day before warning me that although my reservation was for 5:45 and I did not need to be finished until 7:15 that they would not guarantee that I could be served in time to make the lecture.
When I arrived although the restaurant was virtually empty, the hostess was curt and would not seat me. When my companion arrived we were seated in advance of our reservation.
When our server, Benjamin, took our order, I asked that the goat cheese be left off the top of my salad. Benjamin said it was not possible as the chef said no substitutions. When the salad arrived it did not appear that it would have been difficult to omit the cheese.
Benjamin did check back with us once as soon as our meal delivered before we had even tasted it, but we did not see him again until we were finished. We asked to have the remainder of out meal packed up. Our server did not ask if we wanted coffee to accompany the desert. When the “to go”container arrived, I noticed that the vegetable that I did not eat was not in the container. I asked the server why. He said he had thrown it in the trash but then he put some in the container.
I have dined at this restaurant several times and have always been happy with the meal and the service. Even though the restaurant was not as crowded as it has been at other times when I have been there, the service this time was not even close to being acceptable. It will be a long time before I return.
Liberty was our server for our 19th wedding anniversary ❤️ She was AMAZING 💯 Great service. Extremely knowledgeable. Great recommendations. Impeccable service. Perfect for special occasions or date date. Beautiful setting. Very sophisticated and elegant. Order the oysters 🦪
My son and I ordered the medium-rare Prime ribs and fries at brunch, both were over cooked. We waited to notify the server but she was no where to be found. We were hungry so we just ate it. About 15-20 min after we began eating the server arrived and we informed her about the prime rib. She comped our mimosas which was appreciated. The risotto was delicious as usual!!
A restaurant with glamour and sophistication. Beautiful architecture. The service was wonderful. The valet was courteous and valet parking is free.
Perfect in every way
Always enjoy the food , for the most part, but loud, large parties ruin any ambiance or peacefulness on a Sunday morning. Tough to come away having enjoyed ourselves.
service is consistently top-notch w/Terry taking care of us.
Lovely as always. Thank you.
Food was delicious, especially the roasted pear and burrata salad. The service was extremely rushed. Halfway through the salad we were told our entrees were waiting. Halfway through our entrees, we were hinted at to get going. The restaurant was mainly empty so it was all a bit confusing. Maybe an 8p rush was coming? We dined at 6p on a Friday.
The food is always phenomenal. The service was a little on the slow side. All-in-all, our favorite restaurant in Portland!
Probably not the best idea to go on the day of a Timbers game. Way too noisy. So busy that it was really tough to get our server’s attention for a second cup of coffee or the check. We go there for breakfast because Gracie’s had the recipe for Thiele’s German pancakes. Always light and puffy in the past. Dense and flat this time. The syrup was very thin/watery. I ordered a side of spinach with my poached eggs. The amount in the small cup couldn’t have been a handful prior to cooking and the charge was $7. All in all, not a good experience this time.
Unfortunately, we were not given the booth we requested when we made our reservation, but otherwise, it is always enjoyable to do brunch at Gracie's on Sunday. Terry, of course, is the best server in town!!
Relaxing but elegant atmosphere for friends to gather!
It was fantastic!
We thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal!
A definite restaurant to visit while you’re in Portland. You will not be disappointed!!
Wonderful service with a knowledgeable staff.
Excellent everything. Good food, service, attractive.
Met my son for brunch and was as usual! Just right!
I took friends with me to experience the wonder that is Gracie's. They were not disappointed. The food is excellent. The service is great and the ambience is magical. It is truly an experience not just a meal. I leave feeling good each time I visit.
Poor customer service, took too long and there were only 3 customers. Food was salty. Bread was stale.
Always a reliable place for Sunday brunch. Make reservations ahead of time to avoid waiting.
Old Portland with a touch of casual class. Possible the last grand dining room in the city. Civilized atmosphere without being stuffy, great service, reasonable prices.
Gracie's was unimpressive. It is located in a beautiful hotel and the dining room was lovely. There was very little noise and I couldn't hear any background noise - that was great. The two things that were problematic were the slow service and the food. We ordered drinks and it was almost 15 minutes before they came. Note: there was only one other couple in the dining room. The food was also slow and it was extremely disappointing. We ordered the oysters and had to ask for horseradish. The mushroom risotto was bland - even with the few prawns - which didn't help at all. Our server was very nice. For two people with two drinks, one order of oysters and a split on the mushroom risotto it was $100.
Excellent drinks and food. Enjoyed our meal there. Would definitely recommend.
Love Gracie's !
Always wonderful food, service and atmosphere.
Can't wait to return...
I still would recommend, because the food is phenomenal, but I was very disappointed with the service this time.
Food was amazing but very slow coming out. We definitely noticed the long wait between courses.
There’s a reason this is one of my favorite go-to’s forcthe food, the ambiance, and the service!
Great place for quiet conversation
We had a fantastic time having Sunday Breakfast with our neighbors. We were really looking for a restaurant where the noise level was low so we could talk. Gracie's fit the bill perfectly. The tables are a considerable distance from each other.
The food was fantastic (Corned Beef Hash - WOW!), the Service excellent and spot on and the parking on the street was easy peasy.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We will be back.
Food was really good and the place was quiet. Probably because we were the only ones in the restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday... Which felt odd.
High level of noise made conversation difficult. Server was very polite and helpful but nothing could be done. Would avoid on weekends in the future.
A very pleasant evening and a very elegant restaurant. The best part of the experience was our server, Jimi. She was completely friendly and accommodating all the way through. We plan to return during the Christmas season and looking forward to it!
I have not been to this restaurant in a few years and it does not disappoint! It is the loveliest, most elegant setting and all of the staff are just the best! Even the hotel staff was super friendly. The food was amazing and the desserts were beautiful and delicious! I have to say that celebrating my birthday there with my friend (and her birthday) was really a treat. Thank you so much to the staff at Gracies!!
We went before the Timbers game and it was perfect. Great food, great service, great ambiance. I love dining at Gracie’s.
Steak was good but overdone.
Tuna Nicoise was outstanding.
