Our mission is to celebrate and serve the presence of the mother which resides above us, within our hearts, within the earth, and in all those who nurture us. We serve cuisine inspired by the kitchens of Mexico sourced from locally grown organic ingredients. Welcome to a seat at love’s table.

The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California. Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love with a menu spearheaded by Executive Chef Chandra Gilbert and agave-based cocktail program by Beverage Director Jason Eisner.

Guys all i can say is that we come here for work because we have vegetarians on our team but we come back because it’s just to good not to! Total meat eater but this is a go to place now and forever. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

We were so excited to try this restaurant. It wasn't for us - extremely loud, food was so disappointingly bland and the service was non-existent. It seemed like a lot of hype for a very mediocre experience. I would honestly never go again.

It was some of the slowest service we have ever had. The dispassionate host also sat us next to one of the largest and loudest tables in the restaurant when the place was nearly empty. The food was amazing, but waiting a half an hour for just the sugar for the coffee (got it after we asked for it again, and again, and finally got up to ask for it) and then 45+ minutes to actually order, made what should have been an amazing experience feel a lot less special.

Though the setting was cute and warm, the food was a major disappointment. The price certainly did not match the food nor the presentation. We went there for our anniversary, at my request, and I felt horrible for having picked the location.

I enjoyed the quesadilla but my husband did not care for the chimichanga. He said it was mostly black beans. Excellent service, great ambiance, if a little noisy. I think it is great to have a plant based cuisine option so close to home, we live just about 4 blocks away. We don't go too often however, because the portions are on the smaller side so when you do a starter, and have a cocktail or some wine with dinner, the tab adds up pretty quickly.

My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day dinner! I am a vegan and he is not. So we felt that this would be a great night to both enjoy a wonderful vegan meal. As a starter we had Crab Cakes. We have different palates, so I thought it to be a delicious "mock" of a Crab Cake, while my husband felt it was no where close to tattooing like a Crab😂. He still enjoyed it, because it was good flavoring, just felt it should have been called something else. He ordered the chimichangas and enjoyed it, especially for the portion size, as this was one of their more "meatier" dense meal.
I had the gordita‘s and found it to be amazingly delicious with the soyrizo that it offered. I also had the Madre chopped salad, that was delicately light and yet still fulfilling with the chickpeas added in.

Despite taking the reservation in advance, we had to wait almost for 30 mins. Even after that when we went to ask the hostess the third time, she didn't really remember about our reservation and was giving us a wait time of another 20 mins until I reminded her that we had a reservation.

The vibe of the restaurant was great though the food was okay. The drink was really good and the service wasn't exceptional as we had to call the server everytime we wanted something.

Birthday brunch for my mom. She had been wanting to try this place for over a year. She loved everything about it. We all enjoyed the food and beverages; the ambience in the outside patio perfect for brunch.

Unfortunately their brunch menu is very limited. I have an onion allergy and they had very few options for me and were unwilling to make anything fresh. When I have gone here for lunch or dinner they were much more accommodating.

Have been eating plant based for over 5 years, and seek out vegan restaurants when dining out. I was very excited to try this place, but left very disappointed. The appetizers (gorditas and crab cakes) were fine but served to us cold, as if they were just removed from the fridge. Mushroom
Fajitas were tasty however all the sides served with it were cold. The biggest disappointment would have to be the jackfruit tacos, cold and severely under seasoned. These tacos left a terrible taste in my mouth and left me unable to try anything else. Server was kind but was extremely hard too get a hold of to order and get the check. Everything served to us was cold which was disappointing. There are so many incredible restaurants that have vegan options. Mexican food in general has a variety of vegan options, this place has high reviews for some reason, ambiance was great...food not so much

The food was fantastic, but trying to get parking was horrific. In the end, we chose to get valet and in the process noticed a lady in a truck almost run over four people along with almost hitting my car and another. The valet justified this lady. Valet isn’t validated despite there being no self parking options. The food was great, but we ended up sitting at the end of the bar. Our bartender was also great, but our seating location was often used for drink prep and it was very uncomfortable and awkward. I would suggest eating at this restaurant, but not at this location.

I hadn’t been to this place for years! Maybe even since it first opened. I’m happy to see it’s thriving. The drink I had, was the most perfectly made Margarita I have ever had! The mushroom fajitas were amazing. Actually all of the food was absolutely delish. Here’s the thing though, I was with friend who was visiting from Paris. When our wait-person dropped off our check as our dessert was being delivered, my friend looked at me and said, “That would never happen in Europe.” The meal felt wonderfully timed until then. I’m sure it’s a rule to keep people from hanging out but, it was kind of a bummer, at the end of a perfect meal. My friend, who actually loves LA and California and wants to return, said it’s an American thing.
