Gracias Madre - West Hollywood
The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California. Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love with a menu spearheaded by Executive Chef Chandra Gilbert and agave-based cocktail program by Beverage Director Jason Eisner.
This is hands down the best restaurant in LA. You don't need to be vegan to love it. Their food is amazing.
Excellent experience would highly recommend. Service was great and food was delicious . Reserving online was very convenient.
The food is absolutely delicious and 100% vegan!.
The service is great and the vibe is pure West Hollywood causal chic.
Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our server but I have to say he was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. We had a lot of questions and he had a lot of answers and also had many suggestions. Excellent service.
Best vegan food ever! Get the Brussel sprouts. Dos bowl was great too
This is not the first time dinning in at Gracias Madre, like always food was delicious, drinks were great and the service was awesome. Our drink did take a while but our sever made it up to us by comping us dessert. He’s was great not his fault at all but i don’t remember his name.
Favorite vegan spot in LA!
My husband and I are both vegan and came here for the first time for a birthday brunch. It was absolutely delicious, but the best part came from my parents and his mom--all non-vegans--loving their dishes as well. The cocktails were fantastic and the brunch menu was superb. Service was fast and friendly. All 5 of us left and immediately planned a day when we could all come back. Highly, highly recommended (especially the guacamole, and Madre Maria cocktail. Wow!)
Nice place good vibes
Tasty food, generous portions, great ambiance, friendly service. We’re novice vegans and felt completely satisfied.
When I am in the area I alway make time to stop in!
Got sat right away. Outside- yay. Attentive server. Great atmosphere and food.
My server was great, loved him he was personable and engaging. Gave us recommendations and suggestions, which all worked out.
However, the hostess was no engaging, was chatting with some and let a line build up of maybe 6 to 8 couples. Once taken to our table there was no communication, no sorry for the wait. They when we left the hostess never said good bye, thank you for coming., a smile, a wave. The hostess sets the stage for the place and the energy, she could have done more.
I really enjoyed this restaurant and would happily return. I had the portobello tacos and the cauliflower appetizer. There is an extensive tequila menu if you are interested and some interesting cocktails. Our server was excellent. We were seated on the patio which was very pleasant and less noisy than inside. It was a cool night but they have heaters. You don’t need to be vegan to enjoy this restaurant. You won’t miss the meat!
Creative vegan menu, great cocktails and beautiful patio.
Busy and fun place. Great tequila and mezcal options. Bartender was very knowledgeable. Drinks were great. And all of the food was very tasty. I’ll be back for sure
This is still one of my favorite places to eat in Los Angeles. The flavor profiles of each dish are so good. My favorites are always the crab cakes and any bowls on the menu. Dessert was a coconut chocolate ice cream that was perfect.
The service is trash. I’ve tried. I’ve been patient. I’ve eaten 6-8 times here in the last couple of months. I figured it would get better.
I literally can never go back. The ambiance is beautiful. The staff is just so rude.
Birthday-they put a candle in my dessert!
Great food and ambiance!
Best vegan food I’ve ever had! A must go
Our waitress failed to get to know her table. Barely talked to us. We struggled with finding a food selection and she didn't even take the time to go over with menu with us. We finally found something but only to realize every menu option contained a nut product. My boyfriend ended up having a severe allergic reaction to the food due to their negligence.
YOU GUYS ROCK !!
Noisy young crowd with good food and service. Recommended.
Fantastic as always
I love Gracias! Great cocktails, great food menu and nice decor indoor/outdoor space.
I made a booking a week ago. For a ‘special occasion’. Arrived early and told I wasn’t being given a table on patio.
I insisted were were- two VIP Brit guests with me, I wanted them to get best vegan Mexican experience. This made us 20 mins late. I asked to wait outside- told we could wait at bar. Not open to serve use. Person in bar sent one of us inside to get drinks menu for other bar. Then this person- a paying guest- has to serve us him self.
Finally at table. My seat had an unpleasant stain on it- from some kind of white liquid. Half cleaned off. Now dried into chair.
I had to put my napkin over it.
Server didn’t notice this, that I’m sat in my napkin & need a new one.
Food was ok. But not as fresh feeling as it used to be.. Didn’t all feel like it was made today or served straight from chef.
I’m sober and your alcohol bar drinks are great- disappointing selection of mocktails & no effort to sell me one or interest me to try something new. I wanted a virgin pina colada- you don’t do this, so I ended up with a pretty lame expensive virgin mohito
Considering the price & where you position yourself- disappointing.
I would be reluctant to gamble on bringing VIP guests for a special occasion again
Restaurant feels like it’s drifting and no-one’s in charge
Also I’m Intersex non-binary- you only have binary Male & Female bathrooms - so NOT 2020, WeHo..so I had to choose one I get least looks in- the men’s and it didn’t feel very comfortable.
Great service, solid margaritas. Food was okay; some items were better than others. Ambience was lovely and fun.
I arrived at 7 PM for a 7 PM reservation and was forced to wait until 7:35 PM standing. The host and hostesses had no problem making us wait and forgot that we had requested an outside table. They expressed zero apologies for making us stand for over 30 minutes past our reservation time.
We are vegetarian and loved the options. Great food.
Overall drinks are great. The staff was wonderful, really good service. Some of the best I have seen. They are pricy for certain items.
Great atmosphere inside & out. Good location.
I recommend Gracias Madre - West Hollywood. Great food, service and ambiance. Will return, time and time again!!!
Guys all i can say is that we come here for work because we have vegetarians on our team but we come back because it’s just to good not to! Total meat eater but this is a go to place now and forever. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Love the outdoor seating area, awesome food, great service.
My wife and I are regulars at GM, to be able to share with our out of State friends is a gift. They want a GM where they are!
Danny, my waiter was so nice, I thank you for the recommendations.
Too noisy inside. Difficult to have a conversation
Awesome food, and I’m not vegetarian.
Hard to get server over to us
We were so excited to try this restaurant. It wasn't for us - extremely loud, food was so disappointingly bland and the service was non-existent. It seemed like a lot of hype for a very mediocre experience. I would honestly never go again.
