The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California. Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love with a menu spearheaded by Executive Chef Chandra Gilbert and agave-based cocktail program by Beverage Director Jason Eisner.
Always such a wonderful experience at GM lovely service and amazing food oh and the best Margaritas too 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We LOVE gracias madre. A perfect date spot!!
We went there to celebrate my hispanic vegan wife's birthday. Friends have been recommending Gracias Madre for a while. So I was a little concerned that Gracias Madre may have been over-hyped. We were not disappointed. Cocktails were fun. Food was excellent. Our server, Maddy, was awesome. Definitely coming back.
Desserts where amazing the entrees where below average as was the chips and guacamole. The margaritas were very lack luster and overpriced. I would go back just for dessert.
Excellent meal, nice staff, good for family get-together.
Incredible food. Waiters a little bit in a hurry to serve the dishes. Probably because I was there at the hour that kitchen closes but altough is not good when you arrive, eat and go in less than 40 minutes. The entré dishes arrived when we were still eating the apetizers, and the check arrived 1 minute after we finish food. Even tough, I will give another oportunity soon!
My experience with the restaurant itself was great the only issue I had was with the hose and the manager not very attentive am I understand Adelina home restaurant the crazy people get agitated the only thing I would’ve probably just won it was more like interaction from them or a smile and a well thought out I am moment where if I was if I had up a reservation at 9:30 and I sitting me until close to 10 at least you know keep me updated
My boyfriend had been wanting to try this place for months. We finally were able to make it with a reservation. Host greeting and wait time is cold and a bit confusing. Our waiter was on a whole other level. He made our first experience fun and took the time to explain the menu. He was the highlight of our experience. Along with the drinks and desert. Being a non vegan, the food lacked some flavor.
One of the noisiest restaurants I have ever been. The din could drown out a chorus of jackhammers. Service is rude and pretentious. Food is mediocre Italian, but what do I know. I live in the NYC area.
We enjoyed our evening. Lovely patio. Very creative and delicious vegan food. Outstanding service.
They took us 20 minutes late on our reservation. Food is always good and they accommodate allergies. Beautiful space but very noisy that night.
Fun,loud, food was not hot when it arrived.
Servers hard to find.
Drinks good. Had margherita was kind of watered down.
Fun environment makes up for the rest. Still go because I have friend who loves this place.
Great food. Good service. Would recommend for business lunch or dinner.
Great Mexican vegan restaurant. With delicious drinks and great food! Must try at least once even if your aren’t vegan.
Gracias Madre never fails to impress. On a nice day, the patio is lovely. The service is impeccable and the food delish for the vegetarian and meat eater alike. One of my favorites in West Hollywood!
Never disappoints. Truly a great experience.
My favorite LA restaurant!
I believe this restaurant to be a victim of their own success. The hype is definitely bigger than the quality of the food and the overall experience. Food was not bad but not better than your average Mexican restaurant. Noise level was intense, some soft interior design materials can help with this issue. Setting is hip with indoor and outdoor seating options. Service was pretty bad: when entering we were greeted by a rude female individual who decided that words were not a necessity and became annoyed when we didn't comform to their internal protocol. We received 2 wrong dishes that were taken away again 3min later from our table and brought to the table that actually ordered the food. Some of the waiters were very friendly though. Overall not the experience I was expecting after reading comments and receiving recommendations from a couple of people.
Great as always thank you.
This was my second time to have dinner at Gracias Madre. I’m not a vegetarian and really enjoy this restaurant. I love the service and outdoor patio. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Our server was positively perfect/ he provided the dreamy service mix of personable, attentive and appropriate. And we’re still dreaming of those jackfruit tacos😍
Gracias Madre was amazing! We tried the brunch tasting menu and our waiter gave us great recommendations, which we took all of. I prefer a vegetarian/vegan diet, so was in love with this place, but my meat-eating friend was impressed as well, although perhaps a bit pricier than we're used to in Atlanta. Also a great spot for people-watching.
Overall, the food was good. I had maybe three 'sips' of my margarita and it was gone (straw and it would have been two). Large ice cubes and very little 'cocktail' and it also seemed very little alcohol. Tacos were good, guacamole was good. Server disappeared and another checked us out. Ambiance is beautiful...but need to figure out check-in process. Hostesses were very slow in seating and directing. Would have been very easy to ask guests to have a cocktail at the bar and spread people out. I would go back to try again but first experience was not what you should expect for that area and the hype of the restaurant.
We sat outside and even though it was a chilly night, they had enough heaters on to make it quite pleasant. They even had blankets for everyone to use. The cocktails were delicious. The food portions were very generous but the food was very oily. We ordered a few salads and a few entrees. All 4 dishes were quite oily. Tons of fried dishes on the menu, too. If you are vegan to try and keep your lifestyle clean and healthy, this is not the place. To me the food was more of a vegan trendy restaurant. We might give it another shot in the future but not anytime soon. We did, however, still have a lovely evening.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Staff was really friendly. Definitely new favorite restaurant in all of Southern California.
Great atmosphere, great service & amazing food that vegans & non-vegans can enjoy!
Had a lovely family dinner here. Food here tastes like “the real deal” 😜 the brownie was my favorite part!
Great atmosphere, wonderful food, and amazing service! Gracias Madre made my large party so effortless.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Brought a first time guest and she was extremely happy with everything.! Marshall the server, was top rate. Really excellent! Thank you and will be back soon.
The food was delicious, as were the desserts. The quesadillas and especially the chile relleno were a little monotonous though, just filled with squash, and the chile relleno just filled with beans and potatoes - it could've used a little more diversity in flavoring. The flautas de comote, chips and guac, and jackfruit tacos were awesome! And of course the brownie sundae! And one of the most pleasant restaurants to sit outside at in LA that I've been to
I asked for a dish without cilantro because I am allergic. They sent me the dish with cilantro in the sauce. By chance I asked a second time when the plate arrives with an herbs sauce on it.
I'm not vegan nor vegetarian, this place is just good across the board. Great ambiance, good vibe, good food, and great drinks. Love it here.
Food was incredible. Lovely romantic setting. Extensive tequila and mescal list and the cocktails are fab! We went on a cold evening and they could have used a few more outdoor heaters, so just bring a coat.
We booked a table for 8:30 for 4 people. I had explained when I booked that there would be 2 of us to start with and the other 2 would join maybe 30/40 mins later. Our driest friend would join hopefully for mains. The second for dessert and drinks. When we arrived we were told out table would be a few minutes. 10 minutes later we asked again and they told us they couldn’t seat us unless all 4 had arrived. I explained we had booked under the premise that other would be arriving later. She asked me to wait a further few minutes as our table had been given away to a full part of 4. We waited until 9pm and still hadn’t been seated. Finally at 9:05 they sat us on a table for 2 where the couple next to us were “about to leave” hoping that when our guests arrived they would be able to sit down. It was atrocious. Terrible customer service and the most irritating aspect was the food was alright but I had one of their bowls- with pineapple which was watery. An average meal with zero care from front of house team.
Another good meal.
The best!!! I love coming here. It’s always a good time in such a gorgeous environment.
As a vegan I might be biased but I haven't yet found any restaurant that has such an array of menu items that are universally excellent. Drinks and service only enhance the experience.
So lovely! I’ll definitely be back
Gracias Madre was such a disappointment. Drinks were about the only alright part of the entire experience. My date & I ordered from the 3 course meal menu. All of our food was flavorless, mushy, and very unimpressive. There were so many guests dining during our meal, it made it very difficult for our server to be attentive to each of her tables. It was a birthday brunch and the restaurant did not even do the slightest tontry & recognize that we chose their restaurant, out of all our options in LA, to dine with for such a special occasion. Don’t have a space to fill out for special notes when making a reservation, if you’re not even going to bother. Not the servers fault, I blame the restaurant for trying to maintain such a high volume of customers. Maneuvering through the spaces between the tables was also difficult because of how many tables, chairs, outdoor heat lamps, & customers Gracias Madre is trying to house. Overall, the restaurant should emphasize finesse & quality before trying to max out on quantity.
Our server was excellent, accommodating and had a great attitude. Loved sitting in the corner to hear each other better. Great food
