Delicious! Such wonderful food! The queso fundito was wonderful. The crab tostadas were yummy but we’re served cold and with a lot of toppings, so it was not what I expected; however so ate the whole thing! Awesome tortillas and guacamole! Service was a little slow, there was no one server. The bar tender came out to help us once he saw us sitting there forever. Great atmosphere though! Would definitely recommend!
Good food. Make sure you make a reservation on the weekend as the wait can be long.
Great for a fun date night with my wife. Just happened to hit happy hour, and that made it even better. Was wonderful as usual!
Authentic, responsibly cultivated and artfully prepared. We had the tacos recommended by our server, and have never had a better taco. The Barbacoa was my favorite. Our server is passionate and knowledgeable, making the experience delightful.
Everything was delicious and the crab tostada!- extremely memorable. We will definitely return to satiate the cravings we are already experiencing for it!
The food continues to be outstanding, especially the pozole. The noise level makes it impossible to enjoy
We forgot how *loud it is in there. You cannot hear each other without having to talk much louder than normal. The tortilla soup was overpriced at $17, and although the chicken was very tender, there was not enough of it and the soup was way too salty. The taco and salsas were very good. *My geeky husband has a decibel meter app and it was a constant 79 decibels.
The service was excellent and swift.
Excellent food, noisy place for dinner and difficult to hear across tables, so not the best for conversation.
I took my friend for a birthday lunch. Very cute spot. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks were great. My friend thought her soup was good. We both thought $17 was pricey for soup. My tacos were okay but dry. I would go back for happy hour but will not revisit for a meal.
We went to Gracia for Mother’s Day and could not have been happier. The staff was so attentive and patient (we had two little ones with us) and made us feel so special. The food was AMAZING and the serving size is ridiculous. Fair warning, one taco is really like two. We left completely stuffed! Will be back again!
This place is worth it for their antojitos alone. Get a large chips and guacamole for just yourself. Guacamole is best in town. I would have stuck my face in the bowl if I didn’t think it would mess up my lashes. And the chicharrones with salsa is a must if you plan on having a drink, which of course you will. Their homemade masa chips are their specialty so get it! If you still have room for a real meal, their carne asada is great with their salsa verde or sometimes chimchurri. If you’re thinking you just want a small bite after all the chips, start with the a la carte tacos. Because chances are you’ll want more than just a little bite and you’ll end up ordering one of each because you can’t stop. Carnitas, campechanos, lengua, and al pastor are the favorites for our family of voracious carnivores. Pozole and menudo feel like a loving hot hug from your abuela. The thing to skip is the coctel de mariscos. Unpleasantly sweet like fish mixed with watery spicy ketchup. Otherwise, what a fun, bright, cheery spot with solid Mexican offerings that hold their own even on a street that already boasts the famed Carta de Oaxaca and the popular Matador.
Garcia serves up fantastic dishes and great cocktails in a cozy, well decorated shop over in Ballard. While TVs in the bar aren't the end of the world, a group of 10-12 men screaming at them like they're in a sports bar diminished the cozy atmosphere that is Gracia... wish you'd reconsider.
The wait staff is wonderful. They accommodated my elderly mother and her walker with no complaint. The food was so good the first time that we chose to visit this restaurant again. Portion size is perfect. Tortillas are home made and the best I have ever had. Ingredients are fresh. The margarita was perfect.
Unbelievable food - Probably the best Mexican we’ve ever had (not just in Seattle!). Really friendly team, we were recommended to go there, and they in turn gave us some other recommendations of other places to try out. What a great place, definitely worth the trip from downtown.
Birthday for daughter
I must return - I did not have a chance to try any tequila flights! Pozole is superb, and the staff encouraged us to try the brunch as well!
Wonderful food, the enchilada was fabulous. great atmosphere, will be back!
Great food and experience. A little pricey but worth it. We will be back!
We did the Seattle restaurant week menu and all of the options were amazing but we both ordered the carne Asada and it was cold! They also forgot to serve us tortillas and our waitress didn’t come to check in on how our meal was. I still love this place and will be back but not for restaurant week.
If you aren't making handmade tortillas, you are doing something wrong. Gracia takes it a step further and makes their masa from scratch. You can't beat that! That plus their selection of tequila, mezcal and even sotol makes it a top spot for Mexican cuisine.
The service was so slow given the fact there were only 3 other tables with people eating. This was a Monday afternoon around 1:30pm. There was also plenty of staff around so there is no excuse for the extremely slow service. The food was OK-I have had better. Prices were outrageous. Won’t be going back.
First time trying this place & was really disappointed with the service. They were clearly short handed on a Saturday night and our waiter was nice but also unhappy when I complained that my $12 glass of wine was about 3 oz of actual liquid. We got double charged for one item and the soup we ordered for a child was $17 of too spicy for him to eat. I asked specifically to hold the habaneros as it was for my 2 yr old. Any parent out there knows that if your kid is still hungry after slllloooowww service that it's a BUST for the whole family. Won't be going back which is too bad as the tacos were really tasty.
We had family in from out of town. We had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. Very fresh ingredients cooked deliciously. Parking in Ballard is a challenge!
Had a delicious cocktail (Corpse Reviver #5), the Coctel de Mariscos which was delicious but the salsa dominated the flavor. The accompanying house-made thick chips were perfect to scoop up the remaining salsa. Tried two tacos (lamb and pork): both were very tasty and generous amounts of meat in the filling, but the lamb filling was so juicy that the tortilla was soggy and fell apart as I ate it.
As other reviews have mentioned, the noise was deafening. I was a single diner so didn't bother me, but not a good place for conversation during dinner unless you like to shout ;-)
I would go back...
I just didn't think the food was very interesting. Queso fundido didn't have very much flavor... the tacos I had were very plain. Chips and salsa were good. Nice ambiance and cocktails, though!
Great service, amazing ox tail tacos, fresh guac and the house margarita hit the spot. First time eating here, but highly recommend!
Good everything except it is very loud with loud music. We had to speak up so the server could hear our orders, You can’t hear the people across the table. That was frustrating.
Food, service and cocktails - all great.
What's not to love? Stone ground corn tortillas (Oaxacan corn), cochinita pibil, delicious salsa macha and guacamole, an inviting space.
Consistently great food and service. Cocktails and dishes are all well-balanced, and perfectly seasoned. Staff is always attentive and friendly. One of my favorite spots.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Value a bit pricey for what you get but a good night out!!
The crowd was happy and energetic. The server seemed rushed and disinterested. The quesadilla was good but everything else was underwhelming. The guacamole, tacos, enchiladas and carne were under-seasoned.
Love this place!!! It never disappoints!! From the exceptional tequilas to the delicious food and ambiance. A favorite!!
Awesome! We loved it.
My friends and I went to Gracia for New Year's Eve and we had a great time. It's a great place for groups between 3 to 6. Probably not much more than that. The house margarita is amazing and the tacos don't disappoint either. If you go with a group, ask for one of the tables by the window when making your reservation.
Will definitely go back! Four starts only because of not much tripe in menudo, and paying for the chips and salsa which they were quite skimpy on the salsa. Other than that, it was delicious. I only order chicken tacos when I go to Mexican restaurant - these were great!!!!
Gracia is a regular spot for us--such great service and food is always amazing! Can't recommend it highly enough.
We love this place. We come just as a family, with guests in town or for a fun night out! The food, service, atmosphere are great. We’ll continue to come back!
We had a lovely meal at Gracia. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all outstanding. We had chips and guacamole, macha salsa and masa chips, and several kinds of tacos (tinga, barbacoa, pescado, carnitas, and al pastor). The tortillas are texturally amazing, fluffy and delicious. All of the fillings were well-balanced and seasoned. The restaurant itself is charmingly decorated. It’s a bit loud and the cold air from the front door does chill the entire front half of the restaurant. But that’s really reaching for a complaint. The bad reviews I read seemed to focus on the service, but our experience with the service was entirely positive. Thanks for a great dinner!
I generally won't go somewhere that is this loud and noisy, but the food here is so GREAT, I just can't help myself! Probably the best "Ceasar" ever, and the tacos are so delicioso. Gracias, Gracia!
Have been here multiple times with friend and family. Amazing happy hour with great tacos! Would highly recommend the tacos and salsa trio, they are all amazing!
