The food was okay, extremely loud. Felt like I had to yell at my friend, would not go back
Terrible experience here — I would suggest looking elsewere. I made a reservation and we arrived on time. We were seated promptly and ordered appetizers, as well as drinks. A little time went by, our drinks arrived, and then we ordered entrees. So far so good. Entrees came and we began eating. The server asked us if we wanted another round of drinks, and we said yes. Closer to the end of our meal the 2nd round of drinks arrived. At this point the sever and the manager kept trying to take our plates that were still working on. Seriously? We finished our food and were told we needed to leave because another reservation was due in. Both our drinks were about 75% full at this point and we had been there for about an hour. This person was either the hostess or same terrible excuse for a “manager” that was telling us this (it wasn’t the server). I just spent 107 dollars on chips, salas, tacos, and drinks — thats right $107 and we asked to leave. This is incredibly unprofessional and you have lost me as a customer forever. Congratulations.
The best and authentic Mexican food I have in Seattle. Tortillas are made from corn from Oaxaca, Mexico. The Empanada is to fair for. And the Mezcal flight is really good. All mezcal were absolutely high quality.
We are big Mexican food lovers, so we were excited to go. Chicken Tinga was a standout. Guacamole was good. Enchiladas were terrible. No chicken, sauce not balanced, mushy tortillas. Margs okay but overpriced, and our server was so rude. He really ruined anything good that we could have experienced. This place is overhyped and over priced. Go to La Carta if you want great food and drinks.
Gracia is our favorite restaurant and we have been seeking something authentic since we moved from Austin Texas a few years back. This is by far the best Mexican food we have in the area and nothing else compares in the Seattle area. If we lived near Ballard, I would eat here every day.
Congrats to the Chef, he has made Gracia something super special!!
Very impressed by the octopus dish. Felt sardined in among rest of patrons - 6 inches btw the tables :/ mole old fashioned was intriguing - would definitely get it again.
Stopped in while visiting Seattle! Food was excellent, staff well informed, And I loved the ambiance. I will definitely come back next time Im in town!
great food and great service....it's loud....I'm sorry I cannot remember our server's name, but she was lovely and made solid recommendations regarding drinks/menu.
First time patrons, two couples for a pre-event dinner. We arrived a little early and waited at the bar for our friends. We were seated promptly at the vsvp time by the hostess. Wait services was very good helpful and friendly. The restaurant is lively and initially was a bit too noisy for our tastes, but after seating noise wasn't an issue. The food was very good and as described in the menu. The portions and prices seem reasonable and we'll be coming back in the future.
I always have a fabulous time at Gracia. I really love the food and the ambiance is terrific. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the city.
Consistently good meal and service. The tacos and posole are especially delicious. Service is sometimes slow and it can feel understaffed. Noise level on the weekends is a bit much for holding a conversation. But otherwise a go-to place for good Mexican food.
The servers were nice, but it took forever to get anything ordered and to get our drinks. I ended up switching to wine and still had to ask after 15 minutes where my drink was. Tacos tasted good but were way too wet and served in a bowl, so they just fell apart.
Delicious, great service, timely, an beautiful ambiance. A little noisy and a little pricey, but a fun treat.
Check my yelp review I took pictures of the food it's always good no matter what
Taco’s were lovely and a great choice of margaritas. Friendly staff, efficient service and great food.
Trendy spot and very loud. I was pleased to see a kids menu although my kids didn't like their food but kids are picky.
We wanted to love it, but the food was quite bland. Salsas were great, but enchiladas Suiza had flavorless chicken. Black Beans were very bland. Kids quesadilla were beyond cheesy (dairy bombs). Caesar salad was super flavorful, though!
The toastadas are excellent, and the burger is enormous. The selection of red wines by the glass was not great, but there's a full bar besides.
Great food, modern with true mexican flavors.
I've been a fan of Gracia for years, but hadn't been there in ~6 months. The place has definitely changed. Cocktails are more expensive ($16) and generally less interesting. Why pay so much for a cocktail that I can easily make at home? I ordered the mariscos totstadas. It was challenging to find the shrimp or crab under the large heap of lettuce. I did find crab shell though. My wife found a bone in her pork dish. Generally a disappointing meal.
Our first visit to Gracia was great. The food was amazingly fresh and authentic and the margaritas were equally good. We’ll be back for sure.
Gracia never disappoints. This was at least my fourth time dining there and Chester and his staff always deliver the goods. His imported corn tortillas are the best I have found in Seattle and are so sturdy that they only require a single tortilla to hold together the many varieties of mouthwatering tacos. The guacamole is outstanding and the menu offers an excellent selection of hand crafted cocktails and other libations. Do yourself a favor and eat at Gracia soon.
Ambience was great, food was decent, service was slow and we felt slightly neglected. We were the first table of the evening and it took forever to get our dinner. Would return but wasn’t 100% satisfied with the last experience.
We sat about 25 feet from the door and no effort was made to keep us warm. Tacos were drippy
Excellent!
We went the first night of Restaurant Week. Got a reservation for it. Unfortunately they decided not to do the menu that night.
Definitely make a reservation, but the food was great and everyone was so friendly. Great atmosphere.
Very good food. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Service was a little slow and the place was really loud, but the food and drinks were quite good.
Super busy but they worked so hard to get everyone seated and taken care of. It’s a bar atmosphere with amazing food. If you’re looking for a place to have a chat while eating dinner on a Friday night, this isn’t it. We go here Frequently and have never been disappointed.
we've been here quite a few times now. overall I think the food is very good, though some dishes are on the boring side compared with others. Good fresh ingredients. Every time we've been, they seem totally slammed an unable to keep up with the service. We waited over 15 minutes after seating, at our reserved time, to even have someone show up to take a drink order. Then, it took forever to even get them. We got our food before drinks ever came. This is horrible. They need 2 more people working at their busy times, maybe more, with one of those helping at the bar. The staff is clearly working as fast as they can, they just need more of them.
Good food and service. Place has bad acoustics and makes it difficult to converse.
Meehhh. It was an OK experience. Food was not delicious and the noise level was kinda high.
Good was great.
Service was poor.
We had (in my opinion) the best seat in the house though!
Food was great, but the music is too loud.
Food and drinks were good. Only complaint is that it was loud. Made it hard to hear our server and carry a conversation with my husband.
Excellent food, freshly made tortillas. Good margaritas. Friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Everything we ordered was so delicious. Fun cocktails too. Definitely coming back.
Great food. Service is a little backwards. Drinks take forever to come. Food comes way too fast!
Having recently relocated from Southern CA, we have been on the hunt for great Mexican food and Gracia didn’t disappoint with their selection of “street tacos” (a little bigger in size than your typical street taco too). I’m also a big fan of their house margarita (not too sweet! Perfect mix!). Yes, this restaurant is a little on the pricier side (you have to pay for your own chips and salsa - say what!?). However, the service and food did not disappoint so all in all, I’d say we’ll certainly be back in the future.
