Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub & Restaurant
We offer the alluring and relaxing nature of an authentic Irish pub and the warmth of a Gaelic home kitchen.
Our dark wood interiors, full of cozy nooks and beautifully sculpted bars will transport you to Ireland of old.
Great Food • Great Music • Great Craic, you’ll always feel like a local in Grace O'Malley's
We came there for Bosses Day. Out of the 9 that came only 2 had been before. The food was excellent, I'm a vegetarian and I had the Cheese sandwich which was heavenly. Our waitress was great, very attentive. The food came out in a timely manner for a table of 9. Everything about the visit was extremely pleasant and we will be back again. We are so delighted that our Boss chose your place to dine. Thank you
Had Drunk salmon. Very good. Husband had Fish and Chips. Very good. Friend has the stew. Very large portions. Server was very good. Very inventive. Very nice. Very knowledgeable about the food.
Great Irish bar!!! Not what you get at most so called Irish bars. Gaelic sports are constantly going on the television and the entertainment is fun. Meals are predominantly Irish in nature and are very responsible. Only draw back is the price for a pint.
We came to the restaurant for the entertainment which was fabulous!! The beer and whiskey selection was great. The service was mediocre. When our waitress was on shift she was good. We closed out with her then waited and waited for someone to take over. Someone never did. We actually had to flag someone down to get more drinks. It was ridiculous. Then we had to do the same to get our second check. One person of our group had such salty food that she couldn’t finish it.
We will back for the entertainment and drinks, maybe for the food.
Very nice staff, good food, kid friendly (at lunch). It was exactly what we needed!
Good specials on drinks and beer!
Wonderful food, attentive staff and a great atmosphere! A new favorite spot for us!
My husband & I enjoy the food, drinks & music. The people are friendly . Everyone has a good time.
I loved the pub but would not recommend the fish and chips. The fish was a soft soggy mess. All the other food was very good. 2 of us had the fish and were very disappointed. The server was very nice but unconcerned we didn’t like the fish.
Lunch was wonderful. The authentic Irish dishes are great. Lots of options for alcoholic and non beverages. Server was friendly and personable, attentive and helpful. I recommend Grace O'Malley's to everyone.
Hannah is the best of the best in servers!!!
Fun craic! Musicians were good although repetitive in choice of tunes
Our waitress Taylor was amazing, informative, and prompt. Shes been my waitress just about every time ive been and never disappoints
Love this place!! Everyone should try!!! We got for the food and music but get much more than that. Memories.
Excellent food, great service by LuLu, and wonderful atmosphere!
Went for my birthday dinner. We had a lovely time after the soccer fans left! It was incredibly noisy, even after the soccer fans left, which is my only complaint... but it is a bar The food was yummy, the service was great and the drinks were cold!
Great food reasonable priced drinks that actually had liquor in them
Grace O’Malley’s in Norfolk has excellent Irish fare, the atmosphere is lively, the establishment is attractive and clean, and the servers are pleasant. When I’ve been there for live music, it has always been good. The chefs do a great job. (Try the pretzels and cheese. SO GOOD. The beef stew is my favorite.) They change desserts daily, but they are all delicious. If they have strawberry cheesecake when you visit, get it!! I love this place.
We had a delicious meal, at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere for celebrating my daughters graduation.
Nice authentic Irish look to the restaurant. The bar appearance is really great. The salmon specials are usually terrific as are the daily bread pudding deserts. The tomato soup with Parmesan cheese was a great starter. Service was excellent.
Service was wonderful and the food was stellar.
We were there for the monthly folk music session. The music was fantastic.
Nice place. Food was fabulous and the service was excellent.
Great ambience - nice selection of draft beers and a wide variety of food choices including Irish favorites and inspired dishes. Military and Happy Hours specials make visits very good value.
St. Paddy’s Day dinner/drinks at 2030. We had a great seat in front by the band. Food was above average. Drinks were solid. Service was outstanding even though it was busy. Definitely would recommend reserving a table prior, bc when we arrived they were ‘1 in 1 out’ and at capacity
My husband and I went here for our anniversary during St. Patrick's day weekend with reservations. The facility was packed with 150 plus people and standing room only at the bar, but we still had our food in about 20 min, glasses were never empty and waiters and staff were exceptional. Great Job!!
Was there for St. Paddy’s Day and was the best I have had. The service for such a busy night was spot on! Food was superb! Best place In Norfolk!
Always excellent food. We had reserved a high top, but the high tops were all full (we arrived early, but it was the saturday before st patricks day, and the current high top patrons werent going anywhere anytime soon!) They quickly found us a different table, and the meal was very good. (Pretzels with beer cheese, beef stew, shepherds pie...) Service was great. The place was full and noisy but not uncomfortably so, just full of life.
Wonderful place, he closest thing to an authentic Irish pub in the Tidewater area, especially when live music is happening. Delicious food and great service.
If you are going to eat around St Paddy’s day make a reservation in advance. Limited dining seating and it’s packed. Fun festive atmosphere but limited menu due to the crowd size. Disappointed there was not entertainment but overall a great time.
Amazing St Paddys
St Patrick’s Day
It was the 16th of March and incredibly crowded, but the service was still excellent. Noise level was very high, but that’s to be expected with the amount of people in the pub.
Will be returning again, especially when it isn’t as crowded.
I had a reservation on 03/16 for an early “St Patrick’s Day” dinner for two. The hostess tried to seat us at the bar, sitting side by side. The majority of the dining room was empty and she claimed the bar was “all that was available.” I understand it was a holiday. That it why I made a reservation. But if you cannot honor every reservation with a proper dining table, then do not accept the reservation in the first place. We did not stay, so I can not attest to the food or service otherwise.
Good Irish food and beer. A real Irish Pub feel to the place. Recommend the bangers and Mash it is delish. My wife love the corn beef and cabbage.
Saturday was the first time we ate at this restaurant and we were blown away! Our food arrived piping hot, and all of it was delicious! We are already planning to go back this weekend for more bangers! 🍴
Excellent food and great beer. Friendly and courteous service. Can’t wait to return for the entertainment. Will return and would recommend!
Salmon special stayed it came with Brussels sprouts. Instead, it came w something green.. not sure what. Some leafy greens cooked down.
Server should have said something.
Very comfortable with a pleasant singer.
This was a wonderful find in Norfolk. The food was great and the music was so too! I'm going back!
My wife and I stopped in here on Saturday night at 9pm. We had reserved a table and were seated promptly. The service was a little slow, but satisfactory. The food and drinks were delicious! The live entertainment started at 9pm with classic Irish melodies. The crowd was picking up around 10pm. Overall, a great stop for some authentic Irish food and drink on your stop to downtown Norfolk.
The service staff was outstanding and very energetic. The food was okay. Not the best pub food, but the Smithwicks on tap made up for it. Very loud, but it is a pub. I would have expected nothing less.
