The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. The food outstanding, especially the braised short-ribs. The crawfish mac and cheese, the duck breast and the chicken were all delicious as well, but I'd have to say the braised short ribs are my favorite of all. We asked in our reservation to be seated on the roof, and we were seated inside upon arriving. It's okay though, it was very cold outside anyway, but when we announced ourselves the hostess didn't ask, "Do you still want to be seated on the roof?". It's petty, but to justify myself, you are a higher end priced restaurant, and so as a customer you expect more than just an average restaurant. After all, I'm paying thoroughly for an all around good experience. Honestly, she didn't review the reservation prior to seating us. May I suggest you do this from now on with each guest(s)? It was my birthday, so the roof is where we wanted to eat, but based on the weather, I would have liked being offered the choice, inside or rooftop. The service is where it fell apart. Our server got lost, wasn't that attentive, and requests for drinks and bread service were ignored for what seemed about 15 minutes or longer. The food took even longer to arrive, but our conversation ate up the time. The wait, too long. I had to remind her I wanted desert, she forgot. I didn't like that. The bartender took a long time to bring our cocktails and refills. I didn't like that. The bill was $188 out the door with tip included ($25). I usually pay on average $60 or a little less, tip included for dinner out for my wife and I. Your bill was over 3 times my average bill out to dinner. You need to step up your game on the service side of things in the restaurant, first floor dining. Although in the servers defense I will say the restaurant was understaffed, and you had her running all over the place. Probably why our service was very poor. I am not satisfied with my overall experience, and I don't know if I would return.
