   The moment my partner and I entered the building, no, the moment we parked, we knew we were in for a treat. We are so pleased to have discovered that, in what we thought was a food desert, a beautiful oasis awaited us. The building, inside and out is beautiful (though I was jumpscared by the nittany lion waiting inside). The ambiance was perfect; service was prompt, professional, and very helpful. The food itself, from the amuse-bouche to the complementary truffles offered at the end of our meal, was divine. A note for anyone else attending: DO NOT SKIP DESSERT!!! The "is that an apple" cheesecake was flawless. And the walnut creme brulee was a must-have. I could write a whole essay, but I'll end with saying I will be back many more times, and I hope you all try it!

   We were very disappointed in the sole entree this time. We had it a few weeks ago and thought it was exceptional. Last night it was very disappointing. It was dry and overcooked and I question if it was sole. I think another fish may have been substituted. We took quests because we had enjoyed our previous sole dinner. All four of us were very disappointed with this entree. Salads were delicious, as usual and dessert very good. Adele was pleasant and professional server.

   So sorry for disappointment in the Sole this time. I did speak with Chef about the issue and he is working with the line cooks to fix the problem. I hope to see you again soon, we will be launching a new menu on July 1.

   Grace at Carnegie House is always good. I make it a point to visit every time I am in State College - it’s the best restaurant there.

    Adele was an excellent server. Sole dish was great. Best entree we have had at Carnegie House, and we have been dining there for many years!
