The foods was very good! The service needs to be addressed, we sat for ten mins before anyone stopped at our table for a drink order, the restaurant was not that busy at all.
Jeff, thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your meal with us, and I will be addressing this issue with our staff members. This isn't a reputation we plan to endure, and would love to have you back at GP Sports to give us another chance.
Excellent service from our server, Vee.
The food was fabulous! We got the potato skin appetizer..I can’t think of the exact name right now, I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had the Dagwood. Then we got the peanut butter pie dessert to share that was out of this world! Will definitely go back!!
The staff was very friendly, and the food and drinks were amazing! Definitely have told others about it and will be going back.
Perfect place to meet up before a show at DeVos Performance Hall!
New Year’s Eve. Dinner before the Hockey Game. Service was awesome! Food was great! We will definitely be back.
Great service. Loved the Cobb Salad and the tomato basil soup was very good too.
This issue we had was getting drinks. Some of our party never received the drinks they ordered. I would suggest that you have a temp bar setup for 2nd Saturday in December or dedicated bartenders for the upper floor this will allow for drinks orders to be met in a timely manner. You basically have to order several drinks at one time due to the response of the waiter coming back to your table and getting the ordered drinks.
Jean, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience with drinks not being provided in a timely manner. This is definitely an area for growth and something to get better at moving forward. We appreciate your feedback and hope to get another chance to prove you otherwise.
Jasmine was extremely helpful with our large party. Would recommend for groups.
Server was just terrific, young man named Joe, maybe, made a huge difference. Good food served quickly. Great place before performances at DeVos.
We are glad you enjoyed your visit with us Christian. We look forward to possibly seeing you in the near future. Hope you're enjoying the Holiday Season. Take care.
The staff was helpful in coordinating our reservation. The food was good and the price was reasonable.
Menu is very limited. Server was not very attentive. Definitely not worth the money.
We were seated in a quite area upon request. Service was excellent and so was the food. The manager even stopped by and said hi and asked how we'd were doing. We eat here often and really like it.
We had a large party and had great service and great food!!
Roast beef dip and Hawaiian flatbread were really good. Looking forward to our next visit.
Very great service and food!!!
Located inside the Amway hotel, the food and location was great for us looking to grab a quick meal prior to a concert at Van Andel arena. They take reservations for larger groups which was seamless.
Grabbed a quick dinner before a concert- it was okay. But they were way under staffed and behind!
Hi Jenny! Thank you for the feedback. Concert nights are huge days for us. I apologize that your experience was affected by that. We strive hard to provide great service every day and feedback from guests like yourself help us do better next time. We hope you give us another chance to make it right! I miss the old menu. My husband ordered a club wrap, and he couldn't eat it. The sauce and chiice of lettuce ruined it, plus the quality of meats was cheap. My buger was fine. Kinda weird choice of cheese for a mushroom buger. Wouldn't order it again. Had cheesecake, but it had no crust. Again weird.
Hello. We want to thank you for giving our new menu a shot. We are sorry to hear that it was less than appealing to you. We appreciate the feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve and information like this helps a lot! Our new menu has a little something for everyone and we hope that you return to explore its many options. Again, thank you so much for your feedback. We hope to see you again soon! Alicia Jones General Manager
The food was cold the first time it came out, and the second time it came out the good news is only half of it was cold :). They also had extremely minimal choices for food and it was outrageously over priced. Would never go back there for those few food choices that were cold and overpriced!
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so sorry that your last visit was unsatisfactory. Our number one priority is our guests. Cold food is never acceptable. We have spent a lot of time listening to our guest's feedback and have just rolled out a new menu! We would love to have you back and be able to give you the experience that we know we are capable of, and one that you deserve! Again, we appreciate your feedback and hope for a chance to make it right. Alicia Jones General Manager
Great spot to hit before downtown events if you want simple food and great service! We had burgers and the Turkey Wrap. All were good. The fries were the star - two of us had regular fries and one had the sweet potato fries. They were delicious and could have been our meals. They really should think about jumping on the poutine bandwagon as they have the perfect fries for it. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We will definitely be going back.
Service was great! Vee gave extra attention to my family. Supervisor stopped by to check on us. Keep up the great work!
Service was great - very friendly and responsive waiter. Food was good and beer was cold! Perfect before a concert.
This is a great place to go to for any meal and for any occasion. Absolutely amazing food and fantastic service!
We were disappointed in the menu. Not a lot of options. I’m a vegetarian and my husband doesn’t eat red meat. This is the first time we didn’t find a lot of choices to choose from
Great service. Menu offerings seemed more limited this visit. Food was good, but not great. We enjoyed our visit. There were 12 of us.
The service was horrible. It seemed like our waiter was relatively new and had a very large section. He was quite frazzled.
Really enjoyed the Grilled cheese BLT. Our server was great
The BLT Grilled Cheese is one of our newer menu items and it seems to be a great hit. Thank you for the comment and choosing us for your dining. We hope to see you again soon. Cheers! Drew W AGM
Good food for a sports bar including the grilled cheese, appetizers and apple pecan salad. Restaurant was busy and not necessarily staffed for it. Our server seemed to have too many tables and struggled to keep up. Fun place to watch a game though.
Thank you for the kind review and I am glad that you enjoyed our tasty menu items. I'm sorry to hear the server struggled to keep up. We use comments like yours to help improve guest experiences and I truly appreciate the comments. We hope to see you again! Drew W AGM
Good burgers and appetizers. Fries were generic fries. Service was fast and attentive.
Good food and a great atmosphere for watching the big game! Sweet potato fries are a must as well as the apple pecan salad. Dessert is good too! Where else can you go to watch a game where champagne and beer drinkers can both be happy! Would recommend a few additional salad options to go along with the many burgers and sandwiches.
Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday! Our server provided a complimentary drink and dessert, which was really nice.
We had reservations for 8 and we were seated at a table for 6. Very noisy but understandable as it was a sports bar. Food was ok but not outstanding. Service was good considering it was very busy.
After making reservation a few days out...I stopped in the day of reservation to confirm everything and make sure table was where we wanted. Then when we arrived for reservation they didn’t have me down and should of made a reservation? They scrambled to set up some tables. I was with my 2 owners and in charge of getting everything set....embarrassing to say the least
Overall very good. We had a complicated table of 7 and our server did very well.
Disappointed to see the smaller menu. Drinks for the size were a bit pricey.
I needed to make a reservation for a large table and there were not many options downtown that night. I chose GP Sports because it was across the street from the concert venue we were all going to. Our reservation was for 8 people. Four of the people ordered the same thing, each one got a Caesar salad and then they shared two plates of nachos. Three of the remaining people got almost the same thing, a bacon chicken wrap, but two of them asked for no tomatoes. We all laughed about how easy of an order it was. However, once the food was delivered, the nachos contained chicken, which they had asked for it to be "no chicken" and the two wraps without tomatoes still had tomatoes on them. So, almost half of the food at our table had to be taken back to the kitchen. I appreciate that they were willing to accommodate a large table, but they sat us directly in front of the entrance, so it was impersonal and still a little crowded. A sports bar would not be my first go-to when choosing where to go, but, as I stated above - it was due to proximity to our destination and the ability to reserve for a large group. I would still recommend it if in the future I needed something similar.
Next to Amway Hotel and DeVos Center for performing Arts. Stongly recommend making reservations in advance, especially if there is an event at the DeVos Center. We were there 15 minutes before the lunch crowd around and they were VERY busy! Menu isn't very large, but if you want a burger, it will do the job.
NYE with a big group and kiddos
Stopped with our grown kids for lunch. Good casual food and good service.
Thanks for stopping in and the kind words. We hope kids of all ages enjoy our atmosphere and food. Hope to see you again soon. Cheers!
