I miss the old menu. My husband ordered a club wrap, and he couldn't eat it. The sauce and chiice of lettuce ruined it, plus the quality of meats was cheap. My buger was fine. Kinda weird choice of cheese for a mushroom buger. Wouldn't order it again. Had cheesecake, but it had no crust. Again weird.
The food was cold the first time it came out, and the second time it came out the good news is only half of it was cold :). They also had extremely minimal choices for food and it was outrageously over priced. Would never go back there for those few food choices that were cold and overpriced!
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so sorry that your last visit was unsatisfactory. Our number one priority is our guests. Cold food is never acceptable. We have spent a lot of time listening to our guest's feedback and have just rolled out a new menu! We would love to have you back and be able to give you the experience that we know we are capable of, and one that you deserve! Again, we appreciate your feedback and hope for a chance to make it right. Alicia Jones General Manager
Great spot to hit before downtown events if you want simple food and great service! We had burgers and the Turkey Wrap. All were good. The fries were the star - two of us had regular fries and one had the sweet potato fries. They were delicious and could have been our meals. They really should think about jumping on the poutine bandwagon as they have the perfect fries for it. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We will definitely be going back.
Service was great! Vee gave extra attention to my family. Supervisor stopped by to check on us. Keep up the great work!
Service was great - very friendly and responsive waiter. Food was good and beer was cold! Perfect before a concert.
This is a great place to go to for any meal and for any occasion. Absolutely amazing food and fantastic service!
We were disappointed in the menu. Not a lot of options. I’m a vegetarian and my husband doesn’t eat red meat. This is the first time we didn’t find a lot of choices to choose from
Great service. Menu offerings seemed more limited this visit. Food was good, but not great. We enjoyed our visit. There were 12 of us.
The service was horrible. It seemed like our waiter was relatively new and had a very large section. He was quite frazzled.
Really enjoyed the Grilled cheese BLT. Our server was great
The BLT Grilled Cheese is one of our newer menu items and it seems to be a great hit. Thank you for the comment and choosing us for your dining. We hope to see you again soon. Cheers! Drew W AGM
Good food for a sports bar including the grilled cheese, appetizers and apple pecan salad. Restaurant was busy and not necessarily staffed for it. Our server seemed to have too many tables and struggled to keep up. Fun place to watch a game though.
Thank you for the kind review and I am glad that you enjoyed our tasty menu items. I'm sorry to hear the server struggled to keep up. We use comments like yours to help improve guest experiences and I truly appreciate the comments. We hope to see you again! Drew W AGM
Good burgers and appetizers. Fries were generic fries. Service was fast and attentive.
Good food and a great atmosphere for watching the big game! Sweet potato fries are a must as well as the apple pecan salad. Dessert is good too! Where else can you go to watch a game where champagne and beer drinkers can both be happy! Would recommend a few additional salad options to go along with the many burgers and sandwiches.
Had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday! Our server provided a complimentary drink and dessert, which was really nice.
We had reservations for 8 and we were seated at a table for 6. Very noisy but understandable as it was a sports bar. Food was ok but not outstanding. Service was good considering it was very busy.
After making reservation a few days out...I stopped in the day of reservation to confirm everything and make sure table was where we wanted. Then when we arrived for reservation they didn’t have me down and should of made a reservation? They scrambled to set up some tables. I was with my 2 owners and in charge of getting everything set....embarrassing to say the least
Overall very good. We had a complicated table of 7 and our server did very well.
Disappointed to see the smaller menu. Drinks for the size were a bit pricey.
I needed to make a reservation for a large table and there were not many options downtown that night. I chose GP Sports because it was across the street from the concert venue we were all going to. Our reservation was for 8 people. Four of the people ordered the same thing, each one got a Caesar salad and then they shared two plates of nachos. Three of the remaining people got almost the same thing, a bacon chicken wrap, but two of them asked for no tomatoes. We all laughed about how easy of an order it was. However, once the food was delivered, the nachos contained chicken, which they had asked for it to be "no chicken" and the two wraps without tomatoes still had tomatoes on them. So, almost half of the food at our table had to be taken back to the kitchen. I appreciate that they were willing to accommodate a large table, but they sat us directly in front of the entrance, so it was impersonal and still a little crowded. A sports bar would not be my first go-to when choosing where to go, but, as I stated above - it was due to proximity to our destination and the ability to reserve for a large group. I would still recommend it if in the future I needed something similar.
Next to Amway Hotel and DeVos Center for performing Arts. Stongly recommend making reservations in advance, especially if there is an event at the DeVos Center. We were there 15 minutes before the lunch crowd around and they were VERY busy! Menu isn't very large, but if you want a burger, it will do the job.
NYE with a big group and kiddos
Stopped with our grown kids for lunch. Good casual food and good service.
Thanks for stopping in and the kind words. We hope kids of all ages enjoy our atmosphere and food. Hope to see you again soon. Cheers!
This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It took 35 minutes to get our drinks. It took 40 minutes to get our food and 4 of us didn’t get our food for another 25 minutes. We had 2 birthdays and one of the birthdays meal was not even put in. The server was absolutely horrible. She was extremely forgetful and unapologetic for the restaurants performance. I would never recommend anyone ever go to this restaurant and I will never go back.
Edit to OP
Gp Sports made it right with our party.
Nice time. Not too loud. Ample space to sit and enjoy the meal. Pretty good food for the value
Service was great.
We ordered salads and a pizza.
Pizza arrived before we were even half finished with the salad.
In addition the pizza was cold. Good flavor but I like my pizza hot.
Worst experience ever. This place was very understaffed. We waited for everything and was on a time limit needing to get to a concert. I had to find someone on three different occasions. No service for at least 10 minutes when we arrived..place our drink order and I had to track someone down for that. I even had to chase the waiter down to get the the bill. Bad experience
Relaxing easy to get to location. Casual. First time dining and would dine again in the future.
Stopped in for lunch and to watch Lions vs. Packers game after spending a couple hours experiencing Art Prize. Food and service were great except for the game....Packers lost.
Loved using Open Table for a reservation! Walked right in at the time we reserved and was seated immediately. Friendly, attentive servers at GP Sports. Great spot for dinner prior to the symphony,
We called ahead and asked if they could help us with a gender reveal. They were very helpful! The host and waiter took the envelope, gave it to the chef and they brought out a beautiful and delicious dessert with "It's a Girl" written in chocolate syrup. It was simple and sweet. Our little ones loved it! It's a great place for kids because you can hangout in the hotel while waiting for food if your kids are energetic. Thanks!
Service was very fast for a group of 6. The restaurant was pretty dead for a Friday evening at 8pm.
Good sports bar
We eat dinner here every time we have an event at Van Andel or DeVos. It is convenient, casual, good food, and a good value!
was not able to sit outside, half of the tv s were inoperable, the food wasn't that good for the price paid
Pre-theater dinner for 6. Good service reasonable value.
Great patio spot in the heart of downtown.
Great food and service.
We came here to celebrate our son's graduation from college and had a group of 10. The server was helpful, the food was good, the atmosphere was casual so we felt comfortable making some noise.
We had great service and delicious food. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries with maple cinnamon sauce!
Good food! Serves were excellent!
