Gourmet Food Parlour - Swords
Great food as always but Service was slow.
Also, please serve my coffee with my breakfast, not 10 minutes beforehand, or at least give me the choice.
Been here lots of times but went on Sunday and food was only ok and not great value for money...it wouldn’t hurt to add garnish to main course! Place was very noisy and looked a little tired. Staff having chats near our table didn’t help. I would hate to see it getting complacent as I have enjoyed the experience more in the past.
When we arrived there was a large queue. We had booked a tablet but the front of house staff were very unprofessional. We waited in the queue for around 15mins, during that time not one staff member approached the queue to tell anyone what was happening something as small as " I will be with you in a moment" would have sufficed. Instead the queue was looked at by passing floor staff and ignored. We eventually got to our table and were served by a seemingly very tired over worked waitress with little enthusiasm . The food however, saved the day. It was hot, delicious and surprisingly quick despite how busy the restaurant was!
Waiting staff need a skills update.
I've been to GFP a few times and was looking forward to meeting with friends last Sat evening while at home in Ireland for a visit - I was very disappointed and frankly embarrassed that I had recommended and chosen the GFP for our get together.
The service, although friendly, was not as you would expect. No problem with service of main course. We were left with desert menus for at least half an hour and then had to make numerous attempts to get someone's attention to order deserts. The server took our desert menu as quickly as he could and then left us without asking if we would like tea/coffee. We then had to make a number of attempts to get someone's attention - again - to order tea and coffee. Very poor service and not at all what you want to be doing when you are trying to catch up with friends.
The food, one of my party order seabass - I believe this was very nice and well cooked but we all agreed the size of the portion was very small. She ordered the most filling desert she could - when we finally were able to order deserts, as she was still hungry after having one of the most expensive meals on the menu. When we left the restaurant she went home and had to have tea and toast!
Apart from the portion of the seabass dish we have no complaints about the food - it was all delicious and very good value for money.
The musician was way too loud for a restaurant - there was no musician when I was there previously and had I known I would not have booked this restaurant for meeting up with friends. Way too loud and added nothing to the atmosphere except noise! Perhaps musician may be nice if it was dialed down a lot, unfortunately it was difficult to hear people at the same table.
Really enjoyed our meal. Food was excellent.
Staff were lovely and very friendly although they were run off their feet.
More staff required.
Fantastic Saturday morning brunch with my husband and daughter. Could not fault any element of either the food or the service ; as usual GFP never fails to impress! Love this chain!

Lovely food and buzzing atmosphere when we visited for breakfast on a Friday morning. They feature fresh Irish produce which is of a great standard. Particularly love their fluffy pancakes and their potato cakes! Recommend to book a table as it always busy. Despite this service was very friendly and efficient. Nice decor and bathroom toiletries are a bonus.
Hi Theresa, thank you very much for your kind words! I’m delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with us in Swords, our staff will definitely be happy to read what you wrote
Drinks order always takes a bit of time to come.
But food is always fantastic, great portion sizes.
Staff are very attentive.
Hi Fiona, we will work harder with get drinks earlier to the table. Thank you very much for your feedback
When ordering I asked if there was a sauce on the steak sandwich and I was told no and when my food arrived there was a sauce. This delayed my meal as it had to be made fresh. I ordered coffee at the end and I waited 15mins for it to come. the place itself is lovely with a nice relaxed vibe. It is expensive but a nice treat.
Love this place! Me and ole school friend meet up every quarter or so and we're almost exclusively GFP at this stage! Thank you!

Nice restaurant, great service but didn’t have the dish I wanted. Other than that the staff were friendly, would definitely go back again.
Hi Vincent, sorry to hear about that. We want every experience to be “five stars”! We will speak with our manager in Swords
we were very happy with our meal, staff were very pleasant. The portions were generous and excellent value for money. I would got there again.
Hi Susan, our goal is 100% customer satisfaction Your feedback means a lot to us to keep working hard
Really good service. Only downfall was a large orange juice was very small, especially for the price of it.
2 and a toddler booked table for 3 and were given a two top so slightly cramped but got by.
Food is top notch. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Worth the extra compared to say Look Mam No hands or any of the other good breakfast spots in swords.
This is clearly the best.
Hi Sean, Thank you for the kind words regarding the breakfast. We are continually trying to improve the variety and quality of food items that we offer. Esther
Food never fails to disappoint. A delicious choice of sandwiches, salads and soup for lunch. Followed by yummy desserts. It might appear to be on the slightly pricey side when you look at the menu but you get what you pay for. Huge portions! One of my favourite places got lunch in Swords.

Booked a table for myself for the early bird, wife mother sister, brother in law and niece (infant). We were seated really quickly, our order was taken just as quickly and we were not waiting too long for all of our courses. The food was great, so tasty.
The service was efficient and extremely friendly. The staff were great, I can’t fault anything from our Experience there.
We look forward to going again!

Thank you for the kind words, Ella! We’re so happy your visit at GFP Swords went so smoothly. We’d love to continue providing great service to awesome customers like you. Thanks again!
Nice as always - unfortunately part of the menu was once again not available. In fairness it was 3:30 on a bank holiday when we arrived for our meal so understandable (but predictable !) That some dishes may have run out.
Had a booking for 12.30 but was left for nearly 10 minutes before anyone came to seat us. Eventually got seating and whilst the waiting staff were very pleasant, we do do have to wait a bit before our order was taken. Food was lovely, I had the American pancakes with maple syrup. Restaurant was very warm and we had to open the emergency exit to let in some air. It took a while for anyone to offer us coffee after our meal and we couldn't find anyone to request the bill, so paid at the counter. Overall, food was really nice and perhaps they were short staffed on this occasion.
Always a 5 star experience .. regular customer in Swords and Malahide. Service and quality of food is excellent.
Restaurant and food was lovely. Lots of staff on and they were very friendly but we had to keep asking them for cutlery, drinks, sauces etc. They need to be a bit more attentive but overall we really enjoyed our visit.
Excellent food and plenty of choice. Gluten free bread and dairy free milk available, excellent quality meat and lovely staff. Would highly recommend
Hi Jennifer, Thank you for the kind words regarding to our variety of gluten free products. We are continually trying to improve the variety and quality of food items that we offer. We will be sharing your feedback among our team We look forward to welcoming you back again to GFP soon. Esther

I've had breakfast many times at GFP Swords, which is always excellent. Our evening meal was lovely, though service was pretty patchy. Also, the mezze platter was quite disappointing - a large proportion if the plate was crunchy tasteless squash, there were no olives and the other veg was damp mush. The main courses were excellent.
Lovely Superfood Salad with sweet potato fries. Great friendly service. Twas noisy at the time as it was busy. Sunday lunch was a popular time.
Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your feedback. We’re so glad you had a good experience. We look forward to welcoming you again soon to GFP. Esther
Staff very friendly food was lovely service very quick
We are regulars to GFP but Sunday was very disappointing won’t be returning for a while for a start we where left standing at the door for 10mins we order drinks & had to ask numerous times for them then we ordered deserts from our waitress but she was more interested in clocking off she left with her bag & coat & we had to reorder our deserts the whole process took another 20mins! The restaurant wasn’t that busy but the service was very bad also noted a poster in the toilets advertising Father’s Day specials but we didn’t see any of them!
I had lunch on a Monday lunchtime and the buzz about the place was what you'd expect for a Friday evening. My table was ready, great selection, food was served promptly, of great standard and we were asked several times during our meal if we needed anything. On leaving the manager used my name to say goodbye as she'd remembered from the booking. The only possible downside was that there was a large party in and mine was a business lunch, so a little noisy to start, but we acclimatised. No hesitation in recommending and will certainly visit again.
We have been to two of their locations now and food always great, nice portion sizes and friendly staff.
I’ve been here a few times and is obviously very popular .. it’s so hot and noisy though that I don’t think it’s a great place to catch up with friends . The staff are friendly but definitely rush you . Food over rated for the price . Sorry
Attended for lunch on Sunday and although the place was very busy the staff made everything run very smoothly. Service was quick and friendly. Food was excellent so compliments to the cooking staff. Only issue I would have was that there was no salt & pepper on the table and had to ask only for it to taken away almost immediately for another table. I believe each table should have these. Otherwise everything was top class.
Been a while, since we last ate dinner at GFP Swords, but definitely won't be leaving it as long again. Food was wonderful (Calamari, Wings, Cod and Chicken). My wife said the calamari was some of the best she ever had. The staff were very friendly and perfectly professional. Cocktails are so well made also, which can be hit or miss for most restaurants. Nice relaxing space with a quirky decor. Appreciated the table we were given for our date, on the side and away from other diners. Absolutely would recommend and have done so with friends and family.
Lovely food, very happy with the service. Highly recommended
we would come here for breakfast a lot with our little girl, always lovely, sometimes there is a wait but its worth it.kids menu is great. easter dinner was particularly good,my husband and mum had the lamb and said it was the best they ever had. will be back soon

Not for dinner, limited if any vegan options and not much for vegetarians
Great food. Very pleasant service but once it got busy, service wasn’t the best. Had to ask three times for dessert menu, were left waiting for other items. Overall great place

Food was delicious, however very unorganised staff! we had to ask for tea 4 times before it came. we were waiting to pay for at least 5 minutes at the till with staff passing ignoring us!
It was very busy but simple things!
