Had a lovely meal - possibly the best burger we’ve ever have had! The service was outstanding, both waitresses that served us really looked after us throughout our time there, I wish I knew their names! Thank you again :)
Lovely ambience, tasty food, fantastic attentive service.
Excellent food and service and The Narrow is in such a great location, being right by the water. Really enjoyed our lunch and drinks and will continue to go here again and again!
Great service and delicious food in a lovely setting. Will be back!
Enjoyed lunch and was great that the children had a good meal free
Food wonderful, Great setting, pleasurable evening, Professional staff.
only down side was an longer wait for order.
Nice and pleasant resturant, nice views across the river. Tuna tartare is highly recommended.
Place itself is very pretty, waiters are caring and the atmosphere is nice. Coctails where good and refreshing but the food was quite salty and overall just ok, I was definitely expecting something more from this place.
Entrance to restaurant seems to be through the rear of the building, no evident reception area other than the lobby for the toilets.
Food was below par, steak was overpriced and fatty. Selection of sides was underwhelming where we had a pick of 4, 2 of which were chips.
Fries where a little too salty for my taste, but overall a lovely place for a special occasion.
I was really disappointed by The Narrow as I was really looking forward to going for a few months. Annoyed that Brunch ended at 12pm on a Saturday as had specifically booked it to eat brunch. Instead had to eat from the main menu which was a Chicken Burger, which I thought was average at best, and the Chips tasted like they were full of fat and from the bottom of the fryer. The main meals also took about an hour to arrive. Overall, was highly disappointed, especially as I had booked it for mine and my girlfriends day out. Even my girlfriend thought that the food was very average.
The view and the ambience of the restaurant is good however the portion size of mains is small compared to the price. we ordered ravioli which wasn’t a good enough portion for one person and it wasn’t the great or the best ravioli either. The sauce and the pesto was hardly there and not very flavourful.
Since they have limited menu, there are few things to order especially for vegetarians. Butter chicken dish was good and again rice could have been a bit more.
The service is great, the staff is very friendly and sweet. ambience is also good so all in all I’ll give it 3.5 but won’t recommend anyone to go for just the food.
Food was poor
Fabulous lunch at our favourite restaurant. Staff very attentive and food delicious
I thought it was very shabby and in need of a complete makeover very surprised Ramsey group put there name to it .
When we got there the chefs were smoking at the front of the pub and when we got inside it just felt dirty seats had rips in them tables were chipped and the toilets had paper on the floor . I know it's a gastro pub but when you're charging 19 pound for fish and chips I think you could do better I will not go again.
Sorry for this review
Poor vegetables in Roast Sunday
The restaurant manager was very courteous and professional and helped us with the issues we originally had and we had a lovely meal. The staff were all lovely and food was excellent.
Outdoor seating - no heaters and no weather protection
Very middle of the road food. We went for Brunch - Full English Breakfast with a side of whole-meal toast ( which you have to pay pay extra for). Meal served on small plates to give the impression of large portions. Tinned baked beans, toast was not homemade bread, no flavour. Coffee very watery and at £4.00 per cup not great at all. Waiting staff okay but distant.
The view from the restaurant is very pleasant and being by the water was great.
Gordon Ramsey I am sure would not be impressed - needs to try harder.
Will not be visiting again, very disappointed.
Great set up & cover outdoors
Poor & overpriced food
Very cold. We were unlucky and didn’t manage to get a table near a heater
Food was nice.
Service was average.
Came here for a date night on Friday evening and me and my partner were really looking forward to try Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. The ambience and service were brilliant, however, the food was quite disappointing.
We ordered fried squid for starter, fish & chips and burger for the main, and sticky toffee pudding with banana split ice cream for dessert.
The squid with lime and coriander mayo were so so bland... It felt like they've completely forgotten about the seasoning to the batter and mayo, we could barely taste anything in the whole dish apart from the floury batter. Same with the fish and chips, although the portion of the fish was very impressive, the batter was so bland that it was like eating plain flour and fish.
The burger with sriracha mayo though turned out to be a surprise, although I would still say they could add slightly more flavor to the mayo dressing, the dried aged beef patty and crispy bun really saved the dish.
Sticky toffee pudding was normal, although I'm not sure why the banana split turned into a salted caramel ice cream.
I might come back again for a drink and the view but I'm not sure about the food.
I was watching Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmare while writing this, and I was wondering what kind of funny comments would Gordan make on the blandness of his own dishes.
they mixed up the bookings and offered us a table for 2 (we booked for 4). The food quality has diminished since we've last been here before pandemic.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience, Ravioli could’ve populated the plate a little more but overall a great dining experience
Delicious food and great service
Food was mediocre pub food and very overpriced
Food was yummy but service was a bit amateur: very friendly, but got multiple things wrong during our dinner (wrong drink, missing side dish, wrong dessert). We were quite happy to be out again though so no worries.
The food was very mediocre
Very Pricey not good value for money. Food rather on the bland side expecting more suprises.
Great service, the team were amazing, but the food was very disappointing. The burger was ridiculously salty and so definitely not worth the £19
My partner and I went to here for Sunday roast and some drinks. The roast was nice but definitely overpriced for what it was - the beef was cold, potatoes hard and had to ask for more gravy as there was not enough drizzled atop. Everything was more or less okay but probably at least 20% more in price than it really should be. The view and name are probably what you're paying for here. For these prices you do expect more.
Great Sunday Roast!! The table service was amazing the Italian Manager was super professional and delivered a great customer service! We will come back
Appalling value for money. Really unclear when booking what menus are available and was only allowed breakfast and tea and coffee even though had booked for Sunday lunch.
Full English for £14.50 - measly portions and cold, cold toast and rock hard butter - which arrived ages after the breakfast.
Service rude and hurried, kept being reminded how long left we had the table for.
Major let down.
Really lovely service. Hearing and blankets were provided to keep us warm.
Had to wait an hour for main course. Outside dining in the evening so it was very cold. No heater to keep us warm. One of main course was very cold on arrival and the mustard content in that particular dish was too strong. In the end had to take away our food when served as we waited too long and it was too cold on the outside to continue eating.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was just what you’d expect with anywhere Gordon Ramsey would associate with
We enjoy the Narrow as love the location on hot sunny days! Our lunch on the terrace was excellent. We sat in the conservatory where they’ve removed all glass door panels. Though a chilly day the food was really delicious. The roasted cod and fish and chips were well cooked and seasoned. The potatoes with the thinly battered haddock were crispy and soft inside - All enjoyed with a bottle of their house wine. It’s just so great to be getting out and about again! We’ve found the food can be a little ‘hit and miss’ but yesterday’s lunch was very enjoyable. Thank you very much. 👍
Food was ordinary but service was good.
