   Our server was very good and attentive. We have had the opportunity to dine at the original Gordon Ramsay in London. That place i would say was outstanding. This place perhaps still some growing pains. I could not even compare it to a top end steak house in Las Vegas.. Something was missing. We ordered cocktails before dinner. Our oysters and Chopped salad arrived. This chop salad was a bit too wet. The iceberg lettuce simply had to much moisture on it. I ordered the steak the Australian cut, it was good,, was it superb no it was not. My husband had the sea bass and he said it was outstanding.. I had to ask for a glass of wine after my cocktail was finished. In London they anticipated our needs.Ee had the macaroni and cheese side dish. Very disappointing, It tasted as if it had been made a long time ago. The cheese was congealed on the top it was not creamy at all.. would we go back,, not soon maybe would reconsider it in a year or so.. What we really noticed for a high end restaurant was the patrons thought blue jeans and running shoes was appropriate attire.. hmm

   The food is expensive but it’s worth every dollar. My husband and I spent the whole dinner talking about how unbelievable the food was. The wait staff was polite and attentive and so friendly. We went for our anniversary and it is definitely something we would do again for another special occasion, it was a wonderful evening!

   Steak was amazing. The appetizers were great, Atmosphere where we were sitting felt cheap because it lacked intimacy and sophistication I would expect from a restraint at this price point. There is another section apparently which we were not made aware of or seated at. Suggest asking for the dinning area away from the main foyer. I was not impressed with service as my water was left empty and drinks were delayed. The price value just isnt there for me to return again anytime soon,

   An amazing dining experience. Food was phenomenal and service even better! Our waiter Mark was one of a kind. He was knowledgeable, efficient and funny. Mark was a guy out of the movies…an experienced waiter that knew how to ensure the we had a special experience. Would definitely go again!

   Waiter was fantastic. Entrees did not arrive together. They brought 2 out of 3 meals ordered .had the order wrong so we waited while 3rd entree was made. Some of the lettuce in the ceasar salad was brown .made the reservation a month ago and they knew it was my husband's birthday and we were seated beside the pass with a constant flurry of staff around us. Underwhelming

   Our first GR steak visit was in Vegas and happy to say that the YVR location is just as good as LV. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was made to perfection except the ribeye was tad over cooked. So happy to have the Sticky Toffee Pudding again. Recommend NOT sharing that addictive dessert plate! Always a wonderful experience at GR’s!!

    Visited on May 23 for my birthday. Our server was excellent — warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Service throughout the meal was thoughtful and professional, which we really appreciated. One of my favorite parts of the evening was the lavender mocktail — it was refreshing, light, and beautifully balanced. The warm bread served at the beginning was also a standout: soft with a delightful tangy note. We absolutely loved the risotto and scallops — both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The mac and cheese was phenomenal — creamy, rich, and comforting. The sticky toffee pudding at the end was a delicious way to wrap up the meal — warm, decadent, and not overly sweet. That said, there were a few disappointments. The bone-in striploin, which we had high hopes for, fell short. While it was dry-aged, it lacked that deep, beefy flavor we expect from a premium cut. The crust was overly salty and gave it an odd flavor reminiscent of roast duck, which just didn’t work for us. We’ve had better steaks at other high-end restaurants, so this was underwhelming. We also ordered the salmon. While it wasn’t to my taste, our child enjoyed it, so it wasn’t a total miss. One moment that stood out in a negative way: the “special note from Gordon Ramsay” was a fun touch — until a female server quietly removed it from our table without asking or acknowledging it. That felt a bit awkward and disappointing, especially since we didn’t get a chance to take a photo of it. Overall, we had a good time celebrating, and the service and a few dishes really stood out. However, given the disappointing steak — which is the core of the experience at a steakhouse — we’re hesitant about returning until the quality of the steak improves.
