Always a special treat! Excellent menu and professional service.
The ribeye was wonderful -- The waitress was friendly Everyone was eager to help but not intrusive. A great meal.
The food and the service are excellent! The prices are a little high.
My husbands and mine birthday's are 9 days apart. I was so excited to spend our celebrations at Gordon Ramsay's. The evening started out nicely with the hostess wishing both of us a happy birthday. We were seated promptly and greeted by a waiter and assistant. They explained everything and were very attentive. I decided to try the tasting menu at $110 because ordered separately, the price would have been $120. I realize it was called a tasting menu, but at $110 I truly thought I would be served full portions being that I could have purchased full portions for $120. They were tiny! The salad was three bites, risotto, 2 bites plus 2 scallops, the beef wellington a 1/2 portion. 1/2 of a filet? Don't do it!!
My husband order the 21 day aged steak and a baked potato. The steak was said to be as tender as cutting butter. He ordered medium. As I have seen in many other reviews, the steak was served rare. It took several minutes of sawing action with their knife to even arrive at that conclusion. Nothing like butter. Once we were served, our wait staff disappeared. It took forever for someone to arrive and realize his steak was not to his liking. They offered to re-fire it. I assumed it would be a new steak and potato, but no. Same steak and never touched his potato. The potato was drenched in cream. Way too much. I dare to say the steak was even bland. I know Gordon says you only need salt and pepper, but I disagree. They did offer my husband a dessert on the house. He chose the cheesecake. It is a 50 cent size dollop of cream cheese. Cost is $14. When our desserts arrived, no candles. Every other table who had birthdays ( a lot) all had candles and were made to feel special. The table beside us was offered a complimentary tasting menu complete with Gordon's picture. We were not.
We were both extremely disappointed. I just knew we would leave there exclaiming how it was the best meal we'd ever had in our lives! But not even close.
Easily one of the best meals I ever had. It made my mother’s birthday extremely memorable.
Lobster bisque had a mustard taste to it, & the lobster had a strong lemon taste. would not order it again. Wedge salad was small and very bland, not much on it. Lobster Risotto was so garlicky my husband couldn’t eat it. 24oz bone in Ribeye was excellent, flavor and cooked to perfection, baked potato was delicious. Service was excellent.
Food wasn’t worth the price. There are other KC restaurants, I.e. j Alexander’s, longhorn that have better food for the money.
We came in for our wedding anniversary and all the staff took time to wish us happy anniversary which was really awesome. Our waitress was phenomenal and took the time to make sure we understood the menu. It was an overall wonderful experience and meal.
Came here for dinner from Kentucky. Over all a great experience. Staff was friendly and went above and beyond to provide knowledge about all food items. Personally I ordered the tasting menu and was decently surprised. Initially the salad was slightly over seasoned but still edible. The remainder of the menu was so good. My mushroom risotto was amazing but the highlight was the dessert. I’ve not had such a tasty well over the top dessert before. My husband ordered the lobster risotto and beef Wellington. His lobster was slightly rubbery and the risotto a tad crunchy but the flavor was there! Overall a wonderful experience. I would return and would highly recommend.
Great food prices were not bad. I had left overs. Excellent ambiance.
So happy to have Gordon Ramsey steak in Kansas City. Amazing fine dining 3 hours from our home.
As always Gordon Ramsay was great still a little overpriced for the food amount you get but still great
Well worth the drive and cost! The food is amazing, and the staff are pleasant and attentive. Wish it was in a different location because the hotel and casino were definitely substandard compared to the restaurant.
This is a wonderful restaurant!!! Seems pretty fancy but well worth it and the servers were amazing at helping with choices and detailing what things are and what they pair best with!! Definitely plan on going again!
The food is amazing and the experience. Worth every penny. Service was incredible.
Look, it's very expensive. It really is. But the food is incredible. The service is amazing. This was the 5th restaurant of Chef Ramsay's that we have eaten at, and we have yet to be disappointed.
Very good experience. Would instantly go again. Price was a tad high for the portion sizes, but food was amazing. Staff was perfect and extremely friendly. Great atmosphere. Our cups never got close to empty. Staff where on point about taking care of there customers. Bathrooms where kept up very well.
It’s very expensive, but is worth the price for special occasions and the overall dinning experience. As fans of the various Gordon Ramsay TV shows it was nice to try some of the various dishes we see being made on the shows.
We had a wonderful experience. My grandson has a dairy allergy and the server (Anna) went above and beyond to make sure he could eat something. The chef came out and spoke to us about the allergy and we were able to come up with a meal for him. It was an amazing experience, highly recommended for anyone visiting Kansas City!!
We go to GRS about 4 times a year. This was definitely not the best visit. We could hardly hear ourselves talk, the staff was so loud behind us.
The lobster tail we ordered smelled horrible, and the manager basically wanted to see how much wine we'd had to know if that was the cause for our complaint. We hadn't even had half a bottle. The server made us feel stupid for not having been there for a couple months, that we were bummed the bread changed and they don't serve honey butter anymore. The manager, however, did take the lobster tail off our bill and our server gave us cheesecake to take home for our anniversary. First time ordering the American Wagyu filet and it was PERFECT. You can never go wrong ordering truffle fries or Oscar steak accompaniment. It was just a weird vibe last night, not the same beautiful experience we've always had before.
Our water glasses never went empty. The staff was helpful and personable. Excellent date/special occasion location.
Everything was outstanding. The food, vibe, service was spot on. Every course was unbelievable. We were blown away. Thank you!
It’s a very nice Restaurant the Service is great the Waiter and Waitress were very pleasant and the food was great and we would go back again.
The food & service we outstanding. We loved the experience.
All of the food was out of the ballpark delicious. It just melts in your mouth. Even the roll and black sea salt butter were very very good. I really liked the idea of having filtered water. Nice work! I did think the prices were extremely high. Four scallops for $42. The price for two was close to $300.
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and wanted to taste the dishes we see on TV every week. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were in everything except the service. We looked at the menu before getting to the restaurant and knew that this would be a special outing and I was prepared for the bill at the end. I got the tasting menu for $110 and it's fine if you're a 10 year old and don't want a full meal because everything was half of normal portion size except the dessert. The main things we wanted to
taste where the Wellington and risotto. First was the risotto and there was honestly like three tablespoons of risotto in the bowl. One positive thing I can say is that it was reasonable to me to have two scallops on the risotto and they were great. Next up for me was the Wellington apparently I didn't realize with this "special" menu you don't get a full portion because my Wellington was cut in half and I got a half a lobster tail I could eat in one bite like a jumbo shrimp. My wife had the rack of lamb which was nice but it came with some kind of hash. No idea what it was but we never want to eat it again. On my Wellington there was hardly any sauce on the plate and like three tablespoons of what was potato puree aka mashed potatoes from a blender. With my meal I also got a salad which was like three bites of some non-lettuce green stuff that had lemon sprayed on it. All in all it was a great disappointment except for the service we were treated extremely well by the staff and everyone knew that it was my wife's birthday which is very special they even gave her a dessert which was a deconstructed cheesecake. I got toffee pudding. As far as taste of the meal it was fine BUT nothing spectacular. Also we got two rolls but had a share one piece of butter. After spending $230 of hard-earned money or 2 week's worth of groceries we left out disappointed and lesser fan of chef Ramsay. If you do go order items separately. I wish I hadn't made that mistake.
Stopped on our way home. Service and food was well worth the price. Can’t wait to go again.
Huge fans of GR!! The food was excellent and the experience was awesome. The price was more than we would normally spend for dinner, we will do again for a special occasion.
The only mistake you could make is to not eat here!!! Worth every mouth watering bite.
Everything was amazing as always
We had a great time celebrating my mom's 60th birthday. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The only downsides were the air temperature - we were freezing! There was a really long wait between courses. The appetizers came out immediately and then it was a long time to salads and then main courses. I'm not sure what would have caused the wait since it was very very slow. We were also super overwhelmed by the sheer amount/strength of the truffle oil that was in and on everything. On the opposite side of that, the salmon and sea bass had literally no seasoning at all. It was a weird difference but incredibly noticeable. We were super happy for the most part though!
our experience was awesome, great food ,fantastic service. An overall great experience. Highly recommended
Had a simple 3 course soup, salad and beef Wellington. The French onion soup is sweet and rich and maybe the best I have had. The beef was tender and very delicious.
The service was beyond what I imagined. Everything planned to a T. Knowledgeable and polite. Each dish we tried was amazing. Eager to go back and try the Japanese wagu.
The dinner rolls are the same kind they serve at Golden Corral. The asparagus was was not good. The wife split the Bone-in ribeye for $80, which it wasn’t worth that. I could have got a better lobster tail from red lobster.
Very poor dinner. He needs to stop running the tv program and go back to taking care of his restaurants.
We went for our anniversary and arrived ten minutes after 6pm. Our appetizer arrived within minutes, our salad in 5-7 minutes, we then waited for over an hour for the entrée. It wasn't that busy when we arrived. We watched several other people arrive, order, eat, and leave before our food arrived. The manager said they have an hour to bring your food and ours was only a little over the time limit. Then he said the steak wasn't right and they had to redo it. It was then another 12-15 minutes before our food arrived. It makes it worse when they treat you as stupid...
The wait staff was very good and cordial.
Gordon, you are losing credibility. Is this what you teach?
We are Seniors and saved for a year to go. We love Gordon! The Service was exceptional along with the food. My Husband and I were so excited! Will start to save up again to go next year! Even though the Steak House was packed, each Person attending to us made us feel welcomed. Wish it wasn't so expensive but we realize what goes into it all!
Food was excellent. A little overpriced for salad choices but, very good. Filets were cooked perfect and had a wonderful flavor. Highly recommend eating there for a special occasion.
Huge Gordon Ramsay fans, but the food was miles short of the standards he communicates on his shows. Crab cake was rubbery, lobster was tough and didn’t seem fresh, beef Wellington was gray, cold, and too tough to cut, roasted root vegetables tasted like raw carrots, steak was cooked nicely but severely lacked seasoning. Marscapone cheese cake was delicious. Traveled 3 and a half hours to experience Ramsay food for my wife’s birthday and we would have been better off going to a local chain for better food that costs $180 less. Service was outstanding though.
One of the best meals ever! If Gordon Ramsey is a dining option for me wherever I travel, I go. From bartenders to wait staff, 6 stars! Amazing meal!
