As always, the food was great and our server was amazing. This was my 3rd or 4th time at the restaurant and I can't wait to go back again. I had the lobster and risotto for my appetizer, lamb chops, spinach, and a loaded baked potato. The lobster and risotto was my absolute favorite. The portion are large enough to share but why share when you have leftover for tomorrow. By the way, it was just as good the next day. If you get a chance definitely check it out. It's pricey but definitely worth it!

This is my second visit in a row where my steak was overcooked. The crab cake also sat in the window so long that aoili solidified

We had a drink at the bar when we arrived. While they were eventually polite, it took over 10 minutes for them to acknowledge us. Despite the restaurant being empty, the hostess came over to us at the bar and said (in a curt manner) “if you cash out here, I’ll take you to your table”. Our server at our table, Jon, was very polite and offered to have the kitchen split the grilled romaine we were having. That needed more dressing and seasoning—it was very bland. One of us had the beef cheek gnocchi. There were 3 pieces I’d gnocchis in the plate??? I had the salmon which was prepared perfectly and was excellent. The truffle fries were also excellent, but we didn’t taste any essence id truffle. Probably not going back. It’s a shame they couldn’t get the easy things right and it’s expensive.

First - OpenTable - I didn’t miss my reservation. I’m here and they didn’t seat us for 40 minutes until they came and said “are you waiting for a table?” - even after confirming my name.

Aside from the horrid communication skills of the hostesses, the food was great, the table service awesome, and the free dessert from the reservation issues was awesome.

Great service as usual. My husband always enjoy the NY Strip. I normally also get a steak. Today I tried something different. I tried their short rib. It was beautifully prepared. But not my favorite.
Great place for nice dinner out.

The food was great however I wanted hot lobster and they only had cold lobster because the steamer was broken so my experience wasn’t as pleasant as the first time. I recommend you getting a backup steamer for times like that always nice to have a spare.

This was a special occasion meal, so I splurged on a high-end steakhouse even though I generally prefer to buy and prepare my own steaks, since I am really picky when it comes to fine steaks. But having just watched Gordon Ramsay judge a steak competition, I felt comfortable with his understanding of the important nuances.

We were a few minutes early, and chose to grab a drink at the bar. The bartender was rude. I just ignored it, but my date was offended on my behalf. I will say, that at $12.50 apiece for two vodka tonics at a not-busy bar, I expect better.

Table was not clean when we were seated and there was a large gouge on it. My chair was also not clean (crumbs?

The server was polite but didn’t know what the wines were which were included in the half-off bottle sale.

I asked for ice in my water, and was brought a glass of ice with a teaspoon. Which resulted in an awkward and messy process of transferring ice from one glass to another.

The bread was probably great when fresh, but was not fresh at 8pm. It was served with an odd little pat of butter decorated with a line of black finishing salt which made it hard to use.

The steak presentation was neat, I liked the wheeled mirrored cart. I was super-excited by the gorgeous rib-eye which I asked be very well seared and medium-rare inside and ordered three sides. My date chose Gordon Ramsay’s “Signature Dish”, Beef Wellington.

While waiting for my entree, I stepped outside for a smoke and chatted with another diner who is a restaurateur in DC. It was just the type of relaxed chit-chat one makes in such situations.

When I returned to my table, the food arrived and after tasting everything, I requested finishing salt. No offense to the chef, but it’s just about impossible to season a cut of meat that thick. I was really surprised when the server brought me tiny little salt and pepper shakers (like you get on airplanes)

The total dinner time was almost 2 hours. Drinks and appetizers came out fairly quick and we were impressed.

The steak however, I ordered medium well and it was beyond well done. It took over an hour between appetizers and dinner and we were disappointed none the less.

Don’t plan to return

We were very disappointed because we came from out of town specifically for the tasting menu (we are huge Hell's Kitchen fans and wanted to try the menu items shown on the show) which was posted as available on their website and on the TV display in their lobby. When we got there, they told us they were in between seasonal menus and were not offering the tasting menu at this time. The manager gave us complimentary appetizers which was nice. The crab cakes and Ciappino were absolutely delicious. The beef wellington was more tender than any meat I have ever tasted. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent. However, the risotto was slightly under cooked and the pork chops were requested medium, but were well done and dry. In addition, our server was extremely slow causing us to be there a lot longer than usual. Overall, we had a great meal and would recommend to friends. We will definitely go back.

So I had been anticipating eating here for quite sometime due to the availability of the Japanese wagyu. To make a long revue short the American wagyu filet was very disappointing. It was cooked medium rare, and that was right on the money but the steak itself was no better then a 17 dollar outback steak. The sides were delicious, puréed potatoes and roasted corn. But it’s not worth the money just for good sides. The gripe is if I’m gonna order a 75 dollar steak it better be remarkable. This was far from remarkable.

Very disappointed and not at all what expected. Service was lacking and inexperienced staff. Food was mediocre and a let down. Best part of meal unfortunately we’re tge scallops and dessert. Had high expectations, especially for my beef Wellington and was severely let down, especially for the price value. Doubt a return visit, stick with Ruth Chris

We went for a few of ours Birthday celebrations. Our service was excellent from beginning to end. They explained the menu throughly and even stated how long it would take. The food was incredible from Beef Wellington to Lamb to Sea Bass to Short ribs which we shared with each other. Also they kept our water glasses filled. I have been to many fine dining restaurants and this is one of the tops. Thanks to this restaurant I had one of the best Birthdays as well as the others.

Hmmm let me start from the beginning. Our hostess wanted to give us an arm less chair with a booster seat for a nine month old child. Then I order English sidebar drink which arrived within 15 mins. Then our sides was discarded instead of boxed to go and our dessert was boxed to go like they were rushing us out the door. I have been to this restaurant many times and this was worst service I have had. I honestly with the prices you are charging your service should be top notch. What a waste of my Friday evening.

This was our third time at Gordon Ramsay Steak. There were ups and downs in first two visits, with enough ups to bring us back. This third visit sealed the deal: we will never be back.

Despite an empty restaurant at opening time, service was painfully slow. Appetizers took about 35 minutes to arrive. The appetizers were okay.

Next, after another considerable wait, came the 32 oz porterhouse steak we planned to split and it was ordered medium. The presentation of the steak was odd, placed at the end of the table without comment. We shortly realized that both the NY strip side and the tenderloin fillet side were sliced clean of the bone. We also noticed the bone was burnt black. We first tasted a piece of tenderloin and it was beyond well done. It also carried a foul smell. We then tried a slice from the strip side. It carried the same foul odor, but was cooked closer to medium. The taste of the steak was way off and not edible. We called over our server and before we could fully describe the steak she volunteered to get her manager. The manager came over, we described the dish, she smelled the steak, and she said she'd talk to the chef. We were offered the opportunity to order again, but with the length of time it took to get this far into the meal, we had run out of time and could not wait for another dish. We were asked about dessert and declined.

The bill was then presented with no charge for the steak. Charges for two appetizers, a side dish accompanying the steak, and a bottle of sparkling water were presented to us. You can form your own opinion on the appropriateness of a fine dining venue charging anything for this unacceptable meal. We were sent home with the bread from the table and the uneaten side dish (unappealing without the steak). If we had less urgency to get home to have dinner (!) and more time available, we would have questioned the bill as presented (>$50). GR Steak made no effort to invite us back for a proper meal.

It was very good. I got the 32 ounce steak- I thought it would be bigger as I usually share a 12 ounce steak with whomever I am dining with, but it was extremely good. The potato purée was outstanding. I highly recommend for anyone dining here. I also ordered the truffle fries, which online they look like a thicker fry with Parmesan cheese, but in this restaurant they are thinner fries. They are still good just not what I expected when I looked them up. The people I dined with had the beef Wellington ( which was the first time ever trying it ). No complaints. Everyone enjoyed it.

Roaming staff poured water, checked on everyone. The meal was amazing! And the staff just as good! Excellent experience. Beef Wellington amazing!!!
