Gordon Ramsay Steak - Horseshoe Casino Baltimore
We're regulars here. This visit was a little off from normal. Its a shame because it was my granddaughter's third birthday.
I think the kitchen was out of sync. We ordered no salt on the baby's food. The pasta with just butter had areas that were very salty. Asparagus was a little too charred and very tough. Ou're steaks were great. Normally the side of mac and cheese is very cheesy Ann's delicious. This time out was slightly runny and skimpy on the cheese. Little disappointing.
But like i said earlier. This was not our normal experience. Usually everything is delicious.
Our servers were very nice. The assistant manager came by several times and wad also very nice.
Food and service was good. I would go back. John our server was very nice.
Delicious, unforgettable food with an experience that will be remembered for a long time
Waiter was excellent food was good. The lobster was a little under cocked. Drinks were very good
Our food took 45+ mins to come out. We didn't get any updates on when it would be out.But the food was Great.
Hands down the best steak, atmosphere, service, and staff. Everyone was friendly, personable, interactive. I sent my knife back to the kitchen as clean as they sent it to me, the steak can be cut wig a fork. No detail is left out. I can’t wait to go back
Way over priced. Did not enjoy the preset valentines day menu. Glad I can say I've been, but will not return.
I have been to numerous Gordan Ramsey restaurants and every one is superb. Steaks, hamburgers, fish and chips, there all GREAT. If anything is wrong, you need more of them!
We had dirty utensils and hair in one of our plates.
I kept thinking the whole time, what would Gordon Ramsay do? He would have been appalled, which is why we chose the restaurant. Apparently, those representing him didn’t feel the same. We were given a free dessert, which we didn’t ask for - and some champagne (which we didn’t need as I had a full glass of wine)
They should have comped the meal, or discounted significantly. No excuse for that in a restaurant of this caliber. We overpaid for what we got back in overall experience.
Steak and sides were tasty. Salad, not so much.
Took my husband for his birthday. Service was great. Our server Jon was wonderful. Food was good. Husband said the Wellington was delicious and the Sticky toffee pudding dessert was to die for. -Cheri
My wife and I celebrated Valentine's Day dinner there on Friday, February 15th. It was our first time there and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was top notch and outstanding. Superior quality.
The only negative is that it is a little pricey.
The food and service was GREAT! It did become quite loud when an employee received a proposal, but asides that, I’d rate it to be a great place to wine and dine.
The food was amazing but I am not a fan of having to pay extra for my sides. $60 for a piece of steak without sides is a bit much even for Chef Ramsay.
The food was delicious and the services were pretty good. It 's a good place for dating or celebrating
Hands down the best dining experience I ever had! Not only was the food exquisite, the customer service was fantastic. They wiped the table after ever meal and changed the silverware after it has been used. I’ve never seen anything like that ever! I knew it was going to be a great dining experience when I took a first bite of the bread. I nearly teared up when I took the first bite of the Berkshire pork belly since it was such an explosive flavor from the grits and the spinach itself, let alone the star of the appetizer! All the ingredients complemented each other perfectly for a symphony of flavor! I now understand why the beef Wellington is a signature dish because it delivers in flavor! It was almost like I can taste everything instead of the just one thing. From the puff pastry to the medium rare filet melted in my mouth like butter! Now for the dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding! I never had a dessert that didn’t just taste like sweetness and nothing else. This dessert had character and was almost like each ingredient played a very important part, even if it was a small amount of it! I had a reservation for about a month to make sure I would have at least a good dinner for my birthday, but this experience meant a lot more than that and completely surpassed my expectations. You can taste the passion and attention to detail in every meal, including the bread! This meal was so inspiring to me not only to spend quality time with people you love, but to put your heart into anything your passionate about, not just cooking. I’ve been a fan of Gordon Ramsey since a young age and knew he was a good chef, but now I understand the hype! The time I spent at Gordon Ramsey steak was money worth spent and easily the best birthday I ever experienced in my life! Without any hesitation, I will be back for a date night or any other special occasion! Thank you to everyone involved for making the best experience that anyone can ask for on their birthday! God bless!
Impeccable service. Unfortunately the food didn't live up to the prices. This is a steakhouse and both steaks were improperly cooked - one under (the thinner one!) and one over. Blue crab soup was overly spicy (and I like spice). Pork belly appetizer was good and succulent. The chocolate pot de creme was quite small. It took a half hour to get our appetizers and an hour to get the entrees, which we were told would be out in 30-40 minutes. The restaurant was only 1/3 full so no reason for the long delay. We won't be back - there are better steakhouses in Baltimore.
I wanted to love this restaurant, but the food wasn’t great. My wife got sick that night and next morning. The macaroni and cheese was just bad. Service was very good and all were very professional.
Went for my birthday dinner and it was my first time being there. Everything was perfect I will be coming back again
I emailed the restaurant 2x before our visit to tell them we were celebrating a b'day. No one responded. Also told the waiter that we had a b'day. Received no acknowledgement for the b'day boy. Also told both the waiter and the waiter assistant that the mac and cheese didn't taste right. They never offered us a different side. Called the manager and left a voicemail 2x and received no return call. This was our 4th visit at this restaurant. I am very disappointed with this visit. I do not know if I will return.
The food was excellent. The amount of salt on the food was a little much but not enough to ruin it. The beef Wellington was exceptional and my wife’s fillet was excellent. The meat was by far the most tender piece of meat I have ever eaten. The prices were high but reasonable. This was our first “fine dining” experience so not sure how portions/price compares to other places. We felt we got a good amount of food for the prices. So much in fact, we had leftovers that we brought home.
George was our waiter and he was pleasant, patient and knowledgeable. The only downfall of the entire experience was at the very end. We received our bill and were paying cash. We placed our cash payment in the folder (all $20s). George returned with our “change” and proceeded to tell us that he voluntarily took $40 for himself as his tip. He continued to say he assumed that was his tip so he only brought the remaining change minus $40. Not sure if this is how things operate at high end restaurants but in my opinion this is not ok.
Other than that our experience was spectacular.
Food was excellent! Little pricey, but really enjoyed every thing!
Never miss an opportunity to eat in any of Gordon's restaurants!
I love this place. Been many times. My go to for a special occasion.
Service was amazing and food was out of this world! We will definitely return. The beef Wellington and ribeye basically melted in your mouth. The lobster appetizer was delicious and we even had to try dessert even though we were stuffed. We already want to go back!
Food was excellent as well as service. Everything was as expected from Gordon Ramsay. Unfortunately, a nearby diner had a friend share their dinner via video call... so we had to listen to that. Was disappointed the restaurant didn't stop it.
Exceptional service from start to finish. The food was perfectly cooked.
I really enjoyed the steakhouse. My filet was excellent and crabcake was delicious.
We had our hearts set on doing the tasting menu but were disappointed to hear that they weren't offering it that night because they, "ran out of one of the ingredients". I found this peculiar considering that the restaurant hasn't been open all that long and just figured the tasting menu would be something that is still regularly available. That said, if you are interested in doing the tasting menu, call ahead to confirm they are offering it so that you're not disappointed.
I started with the grilled caesar salad. When I think of a grilled caesar, I think of nicely charred leaves, which provide a slightly bitter taste. What I received was barely grilled at all, and didn't enhance the flavor of the leaves whatsoever. The salad was also badly underdressed, and I'm usually someone who does not like a lot of dressing on my salad. Thankfully our server took notice and brought additional dressing. My wife started with the crudo, which tasted OK, but the texture was a little off. Some of the pieces were tender, but others were tough and chewy.
For my entree I got the bone-in ribeye, which I ordered medium rare. It came out closer to medium, but it was still flavorful and a nice cut of meat. It was properly seasoned so I was overall pleased; however, considering the price tag, it was nothing extraordinary. My wife got the beef wellington, which was fantastic...made me wish I ordered the same. As a side we shared the brussels sprouts, which we were told was a large portion, but it barely fed the two of us. I've seen other reviews on this place and agree that the sides are definitely much smaller than that of other upscale steakhouses. For dessert we ended with the sticky toffee pudding which was great, as advertised.
Everything was top notch. The food, the server, even the hostesses. Love the dress attire on waitresses and bartenders. I will definitely come back!
Wonderful ,,, I will be going back 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Service was great my food was great. I had a wonderful time and I will be there again. Love the experience there and the service was awesome.
This was a Birthday dinner for my son. The waiter was nice and almost immediately took our orders. We received our appetizers (soup) and waited almost 2 hours with no food before deciding to leave. At that point, the manager finally came to talk to us, after at least three attempts.
While we sat waiting for food, we noticed a multitude of food orders passing by. Many people received steak or meat orders. My table of three consisted mostly of seafood which takes less time to cook than beef.
We were very disappointed and extremely upset. We braved the 7 degree weather for a “lovely “ birthday dinner and this is what we got...no food.
To save face or attempt to, the manager packed out food to go, but the damage was already done.
I had a reservation at 6:30 I arrived on time and was seated. I did not receive my entrée until 8:05. Very inattentive waiter and lots of excuses why our food had not come out yet. We were also told we could not have a loaded baked potato. I used my celebration dinner money and my credits for that meal not at all happy that experience. The manager gave me $50.00 off my next visit. I am a Diamond card at the casino.
This restaurant is amazing! The only disappointing thing my last visit was the mac n cheese. I've had it before and dying to get it again, but my last visit it just wasnt the same. It was almost right. But just not quite right! Perhaps it was a different Chef, not sure. But overall it was not enough to deter me from not going again!
Overall the food was very good. Portions were bigger than expected for the price. The only complaint we had was with the hostess staff. We had a 6:45pm reservation and checked-in around 6:15pm for our reservation. However, we were not seated to even be served until 7:20pm. When we asked why there was a delay we did not get any justified reasoning as to why we had to wait for so long. Once we were seated there were a number of tables that were available we saw to seat four people.
FOOD WASN'T TOO BAD, HOWEVER IT IS WAY TO EXPENSIVE. I WILL PROBABLY GO BACK AGAIN.
Overall enjoyable meal. Two items that negatively impact my review 1) sea bass ceviche 2) initial drink order.
The ceviche tasted good but presentation was not great. It was difficult to identify the protein, the server later said sea bass. I've had ceviche a few times and the protein was always nicely diced but here it was a mess. The first bite I had ended up being like a small bit of sausage with the casing holding it together.
Initial drink order taken before food order and arrived after after the appetizer was served. It was comped without asking which seemed appropriate but it did happen.
Everything else was very good.
My family and I came to the restaurant to celebrate my retirement from government service. Both the food and service were exceptional. This is not our first time at Ramsay's and won't be our last.
We went on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Our meal was incredible. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were enormous but I liked the lobster tail (heated) better. The ribeye and tenderloin we ordered were tender and cooked perfectly. The service was very attentive but within reason. We cannot wait to go back and we already booked for next month.
I was disappointed when I ordered a Caesar salad. The lettuce was wilted and it missed one ingredient (anchovies). The explanation given to me was the ingredient "went bad" and it was not available. The lettuce situation was not acceptable, it was obviously old, not fresh. The meat was excellent, the sides were just ok. The attention was very good. Overall, not worth the money. There is lack to the attention of the details for a restaurant this expensive.
