Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - Seattle

The restaurant was closing and had a private event. So the menu was limited. I had book my resveration a month in advance and was not given the option to find another place. A very disappointing meal for New Year’s Eve.
Service was very slow
The food was good and so was the service. The restaurant wasn't too busy and they were able to accommodate our group of 7.
Wow. They were out of everything! No tuna, no sweet potatoes, no Italian Pinot Grigio. My mom finally ordered and got slaw instead of steamed vegetables, I asked how spicy the Cajon pasta was and told it wasn’t that spicy- I asked if he could make sure they didn’t make it too spicy- and it was so spicy! So- we wasted money and a nice evening out at Gordon Biersch! They should get their act together!
The only drawback was that when we were told that our table was ready, the hostess just walked us halfway through the restaurant and told us that it was down towards the back of restaurant and to the left side. She did not walk us to our table. Very poor customer service.
Our waiter was great. He did a great job for a table of eight people. Got our food in time so we could head our play at the Paramount.
The service was lousy. Slow to be seated even with reservations. Slowly to take our drink drink and food order. Even when it came time to have the desert delivered the plates were left on the table not cleared. Considering the other dining opportunities in the area I would avoid it.
The restaurant was understaffed the day we visited which meant service was slower than normal. While I would return here again, I'd be hesitant to book when I knew I had to make a commitment after the meal. Our server was quick to fix an issue with our check, and when available was very attentive.
Used this place for the first time. Had a big party for a lunch and it worked out well.
Our reservation was at nine thirty but when we got there we were seated in bar area and told the full menu was available. Our server came up to us and with the poor hostess standing right behind her she said I'm not sure why she gave you the full menu because we are only doing the late night menu. I didn't want to cause a fuss but before I could suggest we eat elsewhere my mother requested to speak to the manager to which the same server said well I'll get him so you guys don't think I'm just saying that. She walked away and while I was convincing my family to dine elsewhere the manager/chef came out to let us know we could get the whole menu but by this time we wanted to leave.
Excellent beers, good food and great service! Always have liked coming here!
Our family visits GB every Thanksgiving Weekend for our annual trip to visit Santa. This year was most disappointing. Our family of 5 left with a bill for $135, no appetizer, dessert or alcohol, and we had to order a pizza because we were all hungry. The server took our order and delivered our $5 softdrinks and never came back for a refill. I ordered coffee, and he seemed offended that he might have to make a fresh pot (it was 6:00 PM). My daughter ordered the pretzel and sausage. The sausage was dry and cold, she did not eat a bite and the server never asked what he could do to help. I ordered the smoked chicken pasta. The chicken tasted like it was from a can. I offered the whole family a bit and everyone said "yuck". I ate less than half of my $23 bowl of pasta and the server did not ask why or if everything was ok. I was celebrating my birthday and there was no acknowledgement whatsoever, which left the kids feeling like failures - they were hoping for some celebration for "mom" . We all agreed that we will not go back. There are many great restaurants in Seattle that want our business and provide a good value.
Ambiance was poor - not even background music.
Service was poor - friendly but slow and got our order wrong. Had to ask for the beer menu at a brewery.
The food was good enough
The space was clean
Made a reservation for 4pm, arrived about 10 minutes early and was told we had to wait until 4 to be seated - but our table wasn’t ready until about 4:10ish, although the restaurant was largely empty. Also out of a beer on the regular drink menu.
I am from Portland where there are tons of breweries with great beer and really good food. I was not impressed. And the prices were really high for the "meh" quality.
Ok chain restaurant. Nothing special. Would group this restaurant with other casual dining restaurants such as TGI Friday’s, Applebee’s, Chile’s, BJ’s, etc. Beer was pretty good, but not the quality you would get at your local craft brewery.
We waited an hour at our table until we got a drink. We had called numerous waiters who all told us they would send over our waiter. The waiter never came. Then we ordered starters and main courses and they all arrived together. In fact some starters arrived 5/10 mins after the mains. Service was awful. Food portions were too big. No atmosphere. Will not be returning.
Great moms night out!
We went to Gordon Biersch for a quick (1 hour) business lunch which we thought would be plenty of turnaround for a large restaurant in the middle of Seattle. This was noted on our reservation and told to our server upon sitting down.
Bad news first:
Our server seamed very busy and slightly scattered so there wasn’t much actual table service done, I think we actually saw more of other servers than he. When we were finished with our meal and waiting for the check we actually had to flag someone down as no one had stopped at our table for over 15 minutes, even to grab the dirty dishes. I should say at that point we were about 20 minutes past our hour mark, which is not terrible but my boss was anxious to get back to the office.
Let’s move on to the good news:
The food did come out in a timely manner and no mistakes were made, we were a table of 9. It was delicious! Highly suggest the Seafood Cobb, Chicken Schnizel as well as the Bavarian Pretzel and Sausage. Of course, their beer is delicious and poured nicely.
Service was a bit slow. Getting our order and bill took some time. Food is fine, but a bit overpriced.
Nice place. Never busy. Good food.
Great food and service with a smile! I highly recommend this place!
GB has a gluten free menu but really doesn't make any effort to offer gluten free substitutes for common items like sandwich bread or buns. With good products from Franz (local) and Udi's , there isn't really any reason to not join dozens of other restaurants in recognizing the needs of gluten intolerant diners.
The food for typical diners here is unremarkable and the last couple of times service (or the kitchen) have been surprisingly slow when so few diners are in the restaurant. We were there at about 4 pm.
GB is always a great place to have dinner. We have been going there since the late 90s and it's become a staple for us. The menu options allow us to experiment with different foods and mix and match to our hearts content.
We received great service & great food! Everyone's food was brought out at the same time and
Our server was kind enough to split our checks up individually for a party of ten.
This is nice if you need a last-minute place for a group reservation, there is tons of room and the lunch crowd was pretty light.
The food itself was not very impressive, but that is what we get for procrastinating!
I was worried about how quick the service would be for a party of 11 because we had a show to catch, but we were very pleased with our waiter. He made sure we got our order in asap.
Great server and food
Great server, overpriced but yummy
Rrdered a chicken sandwich that came raw. our waitress didn't come to check on us till my friend and I finished her edible meal. It then took another 30 min to get my sandwich off the bill and for our check to come. Would never come here again. Such a joke.
We are visiting Seattle and it was our first night after a full day of traveling. All we wanted was beer and a burger.
We had to ask our waitress 3 times for glasses of water. Our wings came out cold with no individual plates to eat off of. I ordered a cheeseburger and added bacon. I did not receive bacon on my burger.
We ate during happy hour and I didn’t think the prices on my bill were reflective. In a town full of ‘foodie’ places I feel like we wasted a meal eating here. Skip it!!!
Menu was sparse. TheService was awful. The seasonal vegetables were oil laden green beans with 2 the volume of red onions.
Very poor service. It wasn’t really the fault of the server. We were a party of 7 and they put us way in the back. I ask someone if she was our server and she said she didn’t know. Then another server came and took orders but everything was slow to come out. She was waiting other tables and had to run back and forth. It took two hours for our meal. Will never return.
They do not handle groups well. Service was slow all around. Not organized.
Timing on the delivery of food was a little off. Appetizer arrived 30 seconds before the entrees. Food was good.
Had a party of 7 and the restaurant was not only ready for us, but patient as we took our time to order and with the kids.
I have found Gordon Biersch to be an unexpected go-to place for various occasions, from a date before we head to the Paramount for a show, or for out-of-town guests that want a place close to their hotels and central Seattle, to business lunches for large groups.
The food is really quite good, fairly priced, and the service is quick and professional. It is almost an invisible restaurant in that you don't know it's there, but it is.
The restaurant itself is large and airy, with large windows letting in lots of natural light.
Good beers and other liquors, good food, great service and great hospitality.
Speedy service without being rushed. Good food! The waiter was friendly and attentive.
Great service! The manager, Ryan, even came over to welcome us for our first visit and our server, Shawna, was amazing!!
