Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - San Diego

It felt like a cheaper version of BJ’s. Staff had no personality and was not helpful in finding us the right drink. I was overly irritated that they served chips instead of regular fries, you could only get garlic fries. We ended up going across the street to have drinks instead.

Made reservations, took 30 min to obtain our drinks; an hour just to get our orders to the waitress, and another hour to receive our food.

Our food was cold and the fish we ordered (2 salmon & 1 tuna) were COLD!

Terrible service and even worse food!

Never been before, but I really enjoyed it! Waitress was great and real friendly, happy hour was great as well. I liked how they had games you could play while waiting. It wasn’t crowded so it was perfect. Really enjoyed it and I will recommend it to more people.

We have beet to Gordon Biersch several times. The food has always been very good. This time was it was excellent!

Early weekend dinner with family. Reservation at 6pm, dinning room 40% full so no service delays. Food was very good; beer was excellent.

I won’t return after the rude server I dealt with today! The food is just average so terrible service puts this place on the NO list!

We had a work event and came in two large groups. The staff put our entire group of 22 people altogether with no complaints at all. Our service was outstanding -- we received everything quickly and never needed to ask for anything. It was a super fun night! Thank you so much!

This was a random find for me for a birthday celebration. Nonetheless it was a really nice place. It was incredibly slow for a Saturday night which actually made it more enjoyable for our larger group. There was a good variety of food options.. I might've not been looking at the right menu, but for being a brewery there weren't very many options for beers/ciders that I found. I'd love to come back for HH or a music event one day.

Salads were served at same time as entree’s. Food was average, nothing special. Plates had not been warmed so food cooled off very quickly and was barely tepid by the time we were eating it. Server never came back to inquire if our meals were satisfactory, or if we needed anything else. Restaurant was half empty; probably for good reason. Bill came with an upcharge for the salads which we had been told could be one of the two sides included with our meals. We were not previously informed of the extra cost. Server argued at first but finally adjusted the bill. This was not a good experience and I doubt we will ever go back to any of the Gordon Biersch restaurants after this disappointing visit.

Nachos looked & tasted like they were bathing in a oil bath. Not appetizing & tasted like old oil. They could improve on their menu & beer

All the food was great and we had a good time but the in house beer is terrible. It was very watery and tasteless but the food we ordered was worth it!

Took 3 tries for my steak to come back cook correctly and the jasmine rice was hard as rocks, and idk how thats even possible unless it was OLD. The Beers were great and price was great.

Party of 8 for dinner after Christmas Eve services. This was an unexpected late OnTable reservation search result. The service was excellent even though the staff seemed few in number due the Holiday. Full menu options were available and this crowd ranged from pretzels to boneless wings to salmon. All entrees were served hot and together. No complaints from the attendees.

This is our 2nd year having our company holiday party here and it didn’t disappoint!

Four of us had lunch at GB, and enjoyed it. The place is a lot of fun, and decorated for the holidays. The service was very good. The one person who had a beer--dark--loved it. The hamburger and the cheese curds with bacon sauce were excellent. The Asian chicken bites were good. The lettuce chicken tacos were OK; the lettuce was a bit wilted and the guacamole a bit brownish. We enjoy the place, but the traffic into, out of and within Mission Valley is out of control.

Annual holiday gathering for co-workers. Sat on the patio and most enjpyed the event.

We had our annual Holiday Lunch with my work team and the restaurant was clean, quieter than expected, and the food was great! The service was amazing too.

Early reservation at 5:45 for 6, waited a few minutes for our server William, he took our drink order and told us the specials, 15 minutes later our drinks appeared, we ordered an appetizer which took 10 minutes, which was fine, but we had to flag down our waiter to place our dinner order and drink refills after 12-20 minutes he reappears we order dinner, 20 minutes later 5 hot entrees appear but not the seafood Cobb salad, 10 minutes later we flag down someone else and the worst salad ever appears with 5 pieces of shrimp as the seafood, our waiter never checked back until we asked for the check, which he dropped of without an apology or a thanks for coming in
Needless to say I guess he doesn’t depend on his tips we will not be back

We celebrated our birthdays and as usual the food was fantastic and service was friendly and efficient!

The food was good, but the service was a little on the slow side at times.

Amazing garlic french fries, but the darn chicken sandwich was cold. The salad we ordered was a bit bland as well. Overall, descent food; they just let us down this time.

Our waiter Carlos was very friendly. He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer all of our questions.

We made reservations for a party of 12 and actually arrived 1 1/2 hrs before and they accommodate us sooner. Food and service was great.

We had apps and a flight of 6 beer tastings. We were pretty disappointed in the flavors we chose. Food was good. Service was great.

Disappointed with the service. Waiter delivered a meal and said "sorry the fries are cold" and left the plate. What place delivers fries to a table knowing they are cold and apologizes for it then walks off super fast? That was after a long wait at the table to even order. The fries were not edible not just a little cold but extremely cold.

Great location. Lots of spots to choose from for seating. The Gorgonzola pear salad was amazing. Great service too!

Fabulous meal. Carlis was our server and he was awesome! He took care of all of our needs. The rib eye was delicious.

I went in on the 25th to celebrate my birthday. They sent us away because the kitchen wasn’t working. We went there last night to celebrate my birthday again and our food came out cold except for my mushrooms which tells me they held the plates until the mushrooms were done.
My steak was not only over cooked, it was cold. My mashed potatoes were cold, my guest’s green beans were cold and his potato chips were cold and stale.
When telling the server that my steak was cold, she left it in front of me and the manager came by 5 minutes later. I told him I ordered my steak medium-rare and it came out cold medium-well. The manager said that Gordon Biersch’s medium-Rare is a pink center. I told him that I like my steak with a hot red center.
When my steak came out again it was a cool red center. They served it with cold mashed potatoes and hot mushrooms.
Our server barely checked on us. She seemed like she was in a fog. I asked her for another straw for my beverage and she questioned where the first one went? I told another server took my empty beverage glass off the table to get refilled but he never came back. She dropped off a new one with no straw.
When I ordered my birthday dessert, it came with no candle.
What in the world happened to Gordon Biersch?

amazing food and service, we had a great time. We will definitely be recommending the restaurant to our friends and family. We hope to be back again soon!
