It was a little hit or miss. The fish and chips were quite good but the sausage platter had sausages that were dry and didn't taste a bit like any bratwurst I've ever tasted.

Ahi tuna was not fresh. I had ahi tuna at this restaurant before, which was much better. However, the tuna this time was suboptimal. Tasted too fishy.

This was a really disappointing outing. We had a reservation but ended up at a booth in the back corner. In spite of what seemed like a fairly moderate crowd, our service was very slow. Our server was apologetic, but our appetizer never arrived and our beers--it is a "brewery restaurant"--were slow to arrive and when we finally we asked if we wanted another round, that round came after we were all but done with our meal. We've been going for years and this visit was a real low; not sure I'll return any time soon.

I had to send my steak back; came well done but I ordered it medium rare. First time was like Waffle House; second time was like Morton’s. Asked for hot vegetables with the second steak but they never came. Asked for an empty dinner size plate and that never came.

We go to the Rockville restaurant often. This last time, however, was poor. They must have been training the new crop of school kids for waiters. Very poor service. Did not know how to serve hot tea. Did not know how to carry a drink tray. Could not remember the order, but did not write it down. No water when requested - no lemon either. Served entrees without noticing neither of us had anything left to drink (after tea and my husband's beer were finished). Did not bring catsup with the burger/fries. The sugar packets for my tea were *wet* (no honey available). Had to ask for a teaspoon for my tea, then he brought a large tablespoon. He gingerly carried a single cup of hot (tepid) water to my table for tea (no teapot, no tray, just a cup in his hand). Get the idea?

Gordon Biersch is an excellent restaurant if you like beer. There are so many different beers to choose from. The food is well prepared with a broad selection. Service is friendly and on warm days it is fun to sit outside and enjoy a beer and/or your dining choice. The bar area can be termed a "sports bar" since there are several big-screen TV's carrying all the sports networks.
