This location is closing in a couple weeks and it shows. Lack of attention in every service aspect, restrooms were atrocious and food quality was poor.
Usually I have great service here, but this time the service was not good. The food was amazing. The restaurant wasn’t that packed, but our waitress kept forgetting to come back.
My family and friends come to this location every home game for Ga Tech either pre- or post- game depending on the time of the game. We also find excuses to meet there during the rest of the year to share a meal, a few brews (love the Marzen!), and stay in touch.
The staff has always been friendly and courteous. We truly appreciate them and the location is perfect for our trips into Atlanta.
I was concerned about making a reservation when I read mixed reviews and wish I had not. No warm welcome from Host - place very empty for a Saturday night. Waitress very friendly but a little too casual and TMI on her personal business. My beers took a long time to come. Two dishes on the order were wrong and the food was average at best. Given a thirty percent discount by a manager we did not see and voucher for two free entrees but would not return.
We picked this spot as it was close to the theater. We arrived before the crowd. Everything seemed to take a while to get. The server was split all over the place. That could have been smoother. I’d return.
It's a nice, vibrant restaurant in a good location on Peachtree and parking is a dream. Good diverse menu with a European flair. Food was tasty-could be a little hotter as it comes to table; I think kitchen is way in back and servers have a far walk. The spicy pasta meal is best with bow tie instead of linguine, but it's pretty spicy & awesome!
I have been MANY times but this was a very disappointing experience. Waiter was totally preoccupied and horrible service with NO apologies. One patron in the group was sick after eating the fish and overall very disappointing experience and will take a long break before considering another visit.
Service was great. Food not so good. The burger was just not the best.
They were not staffed properly for a restaurant near the Fox theatre on a show night
Made a reservation at 5:30 to beat the theater crowd. Didn't matter; we still waited in the empty restaurant for twenty minutes before anyone came to the table. Didn't have the one vegetarian option on the menu and then only half of the food order came to the table, and it was mediocre. Won't be back.
A group of us from work went to lunch here. This is the second and last time! Each time the exact same experience. Poor service, cold food, long wait time even though the restaurant was NOT crowded. I will never return.
They didn’t have many items on the special Oktoberfest menu. The service was slow. We have eaten here many times, and this was the worst experience in the 4 years we have eaten here.
Used to be more reliable of a good meal before a show. Now you are lucky to get out in under two hours and the food is not as good as it used to be. They try to make it right, but they fighting an uphill battle trying to protect their under resourced kitchen. Still a good selection of drinks and if you know what to order and are very patient you may have a good experience.
Service was very slow and lower than their standard level. Food was great.
The place at 12:15 for lunch was almost empty. I hadn't been there in years so I wonder what happened. The servers were very nice although they seemed a bit inexperienced. The food was average although the fries were great. The food took a little too long to come out, but doesn't that seem to happen when a place is more empty than full? Might still be a fine place for happy hour beers, but as for a business lunch I will probably look elsewhere going forward.
Appetizers were good but 3/4 of us weren't thrilled with our entrees. Their beer is decent but I wish they'd have other local beers available besides their own.
Thanks to Micheal our server and the gentleman that was training with him. Michael was friendly, and suggestive on menu choices. The service was excellent and fast. The food was hot and delicious. Will return and suggest to others.
First time there. Loved the beer selection and my dinner was delicious. I'll be back!
Great service and good food with broad menu. Great to eat here before going to the Fox as you can park there too.
Salad course and entrees were all brought to our table at the same time. Fish tacos should be named "Fishless" tacos. Literally one penny-sized piece of fried fish in each taco! Shameful!
Great service and foid
We love Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant! Whether before a play at the Fox, lunch or dinner with friends and family or hosting a party in their upstairs party space, Gordon Biersch is sure to provide great food and even greater service along with a wonderful selection of beer and full-service bar for other wine and spirits. It doesn't hurt that they also provide valer parking for patrons. We are very loyal customers!
Food was good. Beer was good. Light crowd, and service was slow. But workable.
First time going and everything was WONDERFUL!!! We will return.
Manager seated us promptly due to OT reservation, despite busy pre-game crowd. Food slow to arrive and was below average - actually quite disappointing. Service was slow and uneven. Not going to hurry back.
Host asked where would we like to sit, we chose outdoors on the patio. We were seated, then no one returned after 27 min, we eventually walked inside to inquire about patio servers, they were closing, but the bar was accepting drinks only. The manager met with us, satisfied the mishap with comp entrees, 4 choices, and suggested a restaurant that kitchen was open a few blocks away. That restaurant was a diamond in the rough and an excellent choice.
Our family went for Father's Day. My waitress was sweet but she had too many tables to cover so she didn't check on us enough for refills, straws, honey mustard...They were also out of a lot of items because of a power outage the night before. My husband said he would not go back again.
The food was great, but the service was extremely slow. We sat for an hour with only drinks. We explained that we had a show at the Fox when we initially sat down, but we had only a few moments to gulp down our food and had to search for the waitress in order to pay.
I've been a loyal patron for years. This visit wasn't good, but I'll give them another chance. They made every effort to make things right after I brought the situation to their attention. Everyone deserves a second chance
This restaurant is always a great place to meet friends from various suburbs of Atlanta. The food is consistently good. This one time our service was not good.
Upscale bar food. Service was great and atmosphere pleasant for our family night at the Fox. Food is priced affordable and didn't disappoint.
Everyone really enjoyed the food. It was also a business meeting and we weren't rushed out of the place. V was a great waitperson. Wished we could have tried the beer list
Great food, perfect location, easy parking, and our server was the best (her name is Zikea--sp?)
Let's see. Always start out positive. The parking was convenient and the table was clean. It went downhill fast from there. First: Service I think the term slow as molasses would be to be too kind. Over 50 minutes to get our meal, so I was glad we told them we were in a hurry to go to a show. Our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. Only after we asked some other servers to find her did she reappear. We asked about the wait and got some surley comment like "the food comes out in the order I put it in". It was really puzzling especially since the plae was not very busy at all. Half empty in fact.
OK so maybe the wait staff was having an off day. It happens. Perhaps the food would make up for things, but sadly no. We had muscles for an appetizer. They were so over spiced as to be just about unedible. My son did try to eat them and ended up with such a bad stomach ache he could not eat his dinner. The ice tea was served luke warm and mysteriously without ice. My wife ordered a salad and asked for the dressing on the side. When her salad arrived it was literally swimming in dressing, but at least they did bring her a cup of dressing on the side. I guess to possibly finish the drowning and put the salad out of its misery? I had Cajun pasta which could have used some of the spice from the muscles since it was somewhat tasteless.
My advice is avoid, avoid, avoid......
Horrible service. No one seems to care one bit about the customer.
Horrible service sums it up. Took 45 minutes for food to come and the appetizer came 10 minutes later. At that point we still had no silverware to eat with. The food order also came out missing one side item. We spoke to the manager about the situation. She actually asked if the food was ok when to that point we only had one set of silverware. She finally brought another set and the missing side dish. She did it with such a disgusted attitude like it was our fault for asking for such things. Food was mediocre and the beer was ok. I'd avoid and find a better brewery.
Absolutely delicious ribeye steak. Cooked perfectly. Excellent server. Wait time for food was good even Though the restaurant was packed. Highly recommend.
This dinner was pre Fox theater dining. We wanted fast good for and a nice glass of wine. We have beer boiled shrimp, a salad and a glass of good old Kendall Jackson. It was prefect for our needs. Walking distance to the Fox too
The place was not crowded, but the bartender was very slow on making the drinks.
