Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - Leawood
My wife and I made reservations. Upon arrival we’re offered a place at the bar. I don’t mind sitting in the bar area, but not with reservations. Once seated, we had two people help us before our actual server showed up. Which may explain why the host tried to sit us in the bar. Our meals then came out before our salads. All of this will not detour us from GB in the future. But they were not clicking on this night.
The food and service was amazing! It was a wonderful relaxing lunch.
Second time back to this location. Food and service were excellent. Noise level was just right.
We had a reservation at 7. When we got there, they said they couldn't set us until 7:30. We couldn't wait that long, so we left.
Excellent food and service. Everything was very flavorful. I would highly recommend it.
Had a good menu for restaurant week, however, the chicken I ordered was cut thin and very dry. It is on the regular menu also so not sure if this is how it comes all the time or not.
I went there for restaurant week. The waitress was awesome, but the timeframe to get food out was horrid (little over 1hr). Not only were the mash potatoes cold, but they gave me a butter knife to use with my steak. Definitely will not be returning!
I really enjoyed the food and beer
We went during restaurant week. The portions were huge and the food was good. It seemed like everyone’s steaks were over cooked from what we ordered but they had good flavor. They forgot to bring our desserts out and the ice cream was all melted and they didn’t even offer to replace it or bring us new plates.
Really enjoyed our meal!! Fun to see twilight wcome about with the bar shining, lights dimming and outside ambiance.
Swing by during restaurant week, the full menu is available, and the restaurant week menu offers several nice choices.
Food was really good. The bread pudding was delicious. The service was wonderful.
Salmon for dinner came out raw to begin with and when came back second time was burnt to crisp. Other meals luke warm. Sunday evening. Not very busy . Wait staff apologized and and tried to correct but not worth another try. The food ate Gordon Biersch was always excellent when the restaurant first opened. The last couple of times we have tried this restaurant the food has been lacking.
The food is always great, love the tacos, ribeye is a great choice, lobster and shrimp Mac cheese is great, it's a 45 minute drive but we'll worth it.
Gr8 time! Service, a bit SLOW BUT nice guy
My wife and I took advantage of a dinner for two special on New Year's Eve at the OP location. I found my meal very good, and of course, my favorite brew Marzen excellent. My wife, however, was not as agreeable. She said her Jasmine rice was overcooked. I dunno… I had mushroom spaetzle that was very good. I loved my salmon, she said hers was somewhat bitter. I guess a guy just can't win.
The food is consistently good. Love the shrimp mango tacos and burgers. Great salads too. We had a flatbread that was excellent. Nice atmosphere to watch sporting events while eating good food.
Nice collection of different foods to try as well as beers
You were very accommodating and we had an enjoyable time!
Great night, food was wonderful, our server took good care of us. Out for Christmas Eve dinner with family
Our server was great but she had too many tables assigned to her - not her fault. Even though the brushetta chicken is to be served with linguini or rice, those have been replaced with zucchini "pasta." Yuck! They were kind enough to bring a bowl of linguini. Overall, we were disappointed because of the menu change (which is not called out on the menu, by the way) and chaotic atmosphere in the restaurant and because our server, although great, just had too many tables to take care of.
Would not give us a high chair for our son. Had to leave and go somewhere else. They were not busy at the time at all
We dine here frequently, returning for their great food and great beer!
We had a group of 14 and had exceptional service, even after we were 20 minutes late due to traffic.
The five people in our party all enjoyed their dinner. The beer is always good. Good idea to make a reservation.
We ordered off the Happy Hour menu. Food was great and the portions were plentiful! All the staff we came in contact with were very professional. We will go back.
Good and varied menu choices, good service, very nice area.
We had a reservation for 7:30. There were plenty of empty tables when we showed up at 7:15 but ended up waiting until 7:45 to be seated. The host was more concerned with the two food delivery drivers than getting us seated. The waitress was slow and at the end was rude when we asked if we could please get our cards ran so we could leave. We were there for almost two hours and only had burgers and beer so nothing that required a lot of prep. Ultimately my group was very disappointed and will not be returning.
Food OK not great. Service was poor. Had to almost beg to order drinks and food. I know it was busy but even taking that into account service was just not good. The beer however was....
We arrived right on time for our reservation and checked in with the host. He told us to wait and he would get us set up. After he sat two other tables, I went back to the front to ask if we would be seated. After giving me a cocked head look like I was a crazy person, he said he thought we were getting ready to leave. After 5 minutes he had absolutely no recollection of who we were! The food was good, but not anything amazing. On the plus side, our waitress was stellar. She greatly exceeded our expectations and provided phenomenal service.
Made reservation weeks ago, we were sat at a table right in front of the door. Every time it opened, we were hit with a blast of cold air. Then half way through the meal, someone propped open the patio door for 10 minutes to bring in the patio tables. It was a rather unpleasant experience. I had young children with me too that had to keep their coats on throughout dinner.
Fantastic Food - Great Value! Manager Justin arranged our group in a more intimate section--the perfect spot for our group of 14 who had gathered for a surprise birthday party. Lane took good care of us throughout the gathering. Food was brought out quickly, hot and delicious! Highly recommend the bratwurst sliders, boneless beer glazed wings and garlic fries but you cannot go wrong here with any selection. Happy Hour specials are also quite a deal!
The hostess forgot to check us in and then blew us off. We were seated in the back and ignored for 20 minutes. Our waiter had a large party so we had to run him down to order. Food was slow and mediocre at best. Not the best anniversary celebration. Won’t be back.
We love GB. The food, ambiance, and service -always exceptional! Oh, and their craft beer is something to be experienced! GB is one of our favorite restaurants!
Great place that I've enjoyed since it opened many years ago. There's always good beer flowing and good crowds to mingle with or start your own. Our waitress Hailey was especially friendly and took great genuine care of us while we were celebrating a special occasion. I can't think of many better value places in its class in the entire KC Metro.
My wife and I both had the bruschetta chicken, which was extremely well prepared (including the zoodles!). My daughter had the margarita flatbread, which could have used thicker mozzarella and had plain cherry tomatoes instead of the balsamic roasted ones that we had, but it was still good. Service was great.
Our server Ben was very good a describing what was in the meals, what the beers were like and brought us both a taste of 2 other beers. The evening went very well.
Food was amazing but our wait time from ordering to receiving our food was enormous! No one at our table was even given the chance to order a second drink during our huge wait. Restaurant was about 3/4 full
Was disappointed. I ordered a martini and only got half a glass. Other than that good experience.
Food delicious! Great atmosphere, I love this place!
