Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
A good value in Las Vegas. Beer selection was great, and all brewed at the restaurant. Our server brought me three small tastes to help me decide what I wanted to have with my dinner. My pasta dish was a little bland, but my husband's ahi tuna was perfectly cooked. Seasonal veggies were an unusual combination that included oranges and Brussel sprouts. Salad was fresh and tastey.
Found this 3 month old restaurant on Open table and very glad we tried it out. The food was exceptional. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meals. We only go to Vegas once a year but if this jewel makes it, we will be back. Only wish we had made the reservation earlier in our trip, instead of the last day! Alex our waitress was perfect: a blend of sociable, professional and very prompt! She is a keeper! Keep up the good work!!! pjmfl
Good for a Sunday Brunch. 3 stars. LONGER VERSION: We are locals who had been to Gordon Biersch before for lunch and dinner (and they were very good) and this time we tried it for Sunday Brunch. They had a band playing during brunch with older 70's and 80's "dance hits", not really any jazz per se. My companion had the poached eggs, I had the cheese omelet (with egg whites.) Both were good. Service was good. Nothing to say "great" - it was simply a "good" meal and experience. Even though we were seated as far away from the band as we could, it was quite loud, so conversation was challenging. Would we go back? For lunch or dinner probably yes.
Good location, good vibe, okay food. I was disappointed with the rib-eye I ordered, which came with lumpy potatoes (garlic mashed). Had to send the steak back (something I never do) because it was over cooked. The beer was good (Belgium Tripel). Husband had a bbq becon burger and a Cabernet, which he enjoyed. Service was ok. Manager offered me a salad while I waited for replacement steak, which was a nice gesture. I wound up taking the new steak home as husband was finished with his meal by the time it arrived. I wish our server would have been more professional, but sometimes that happens, unfortunately.
TOO LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Gordon Biersch but will never go for Sunday Brunch again! While I loved the music, I felt it was too loud for a restaurant. We were away from the music but couldn't even hear ourselves think! Not a very good experience for us trying to have conversations. Also, the table for eight was two round tables put together. Not acceptable.
We enjoyed the nice shaded outside patio and crisp beers. We had their burgers and a tasty pasta dish. The hostess and server were very friendly. Our server was very attentive. Small hiccup with food but the manager was very nice and took care of it. Overall great experience.
I use Gordon Biersch as a "go-to" when entertaining clients that we have staying on the Strip. Great parking, easy access, and a wide, high-quality menu that has something for everyone. I have never had a bad experience there, nor have my clients. Add the excellent bar and homegrown beers and you have a win-win situation!
The restaurant was across the street from our hotel, so we gave it a try. We are not into beer at all, but the house chardonnay was quite decent.
We each had the "upscale" grilled cheese - made w/Gruyere and bacon - and an avacado-mayo sauce. It was "to die for"!!!
And of course they are famous for their garlic fries - which were wonderful! But you both better have them, 'cause there is LOTS of garlic! LOL
The grilled cheese was so rich, that we decided that next time we would do well to just split one plate (us older folk don't eat quite as much as we used to).
The waitress was pleasant, cheerful and attentive!
And best of all, the bill was very reasonable!!
(Be Aware: It has a lively bar scene, and the music was a bit loud - which some may like. We just sat in a quieter corner and it wasn't too bad.)
We were celebrating my birthday. I really enjoy the Brewer's Steak, it is my favorite. The wait staff were very attentive. The sides change from time to time and my favorite side is no longer available but I found some new favorites. It is a brewery, loud and fun! Very busy for a Thursday late dinner.
My grandmother and I each ordered salad. The waitress was rude from her first appearance at our table and throughout our meal. We asked for shrimp instead of chicken, which resulted in a $4(!) up charge. The waitress brought out a single salad, in two plates with 3 tiny pieces of very cold grilled shrimp and no dressing. Since we ordered the same salad, the waitress assumed we intended to split one. We asked her to correct the salads, which she agreed to do but she seemed completely put out by it. The corrected salads came out THIRTY-FIVE minutes later with the same 3 tiny cold pieces of shrimp. 10 minutes after that , we each received 3 additional tiny pieces of shrimp. The manager, who was also not too friendly, did the right thing and took the salads off the bill. I would always rather pay for my meal and have it brought out correctly the first time. If an order is incorrect, the replacement meal should be a priority and should not take 35-45 minutes to come out.
