Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - Columbus
Perfect place to dine before a concert at Nationwide Arena. We enjoyed our experience and the ease of walking to the restaurant. The staff was welcoming and took great care of us. The food was delicious, especially the garlic fries.
Food was excellent when it came out. However we were waiting over an hour for a food. The waitstaff was very attentive even though they were very busy, but it seems the kitchen was backed up.
Waiter Stafano was fantastic. Had a food allergy and he addressed the concern as well as the chef coming out to consult with us. Could not be more satisfied.
Took over 45 minutes to get food. Rice was hard and crunchy and fish tacos were cold. Won’t be back.
Hurrying in before a Nationwide concert, our OpenTable reservation for 5:45 was ready! Sam the waiter was great, our appetizer came on time, drinks were half price, all was good. Meals were a little late and arrived individually but Sam kept us informed and we had time to enjoy our individual 5 meals which everyone agrees were good. We paid, left and we're in on seats by 7:28, right on time.
Great venue before concert. Really liked the brew we had-refreshing.
We were happy to obtain reservation through Open Table. This was our first time to visit GB and our experience was great. Our food was absolutely delicious (choices were AhI Tuna and Salmon) and the best fish we had ever had. The bread pudding for desert was terrific; my companion's choice of brownie left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. It was hard as a brick and uneatable, but the server didn't hesitate to remove it from our bill.
Overall, though, our experience was very good and we will visit again.
Food was ok...service a little slow
I had the short rib that was seasonal. I can’t recommend it enough. Great combination of flavors!
Our server was very friendly and efficient. Food and beer were both great!
Went on a Tuesday night very empty so my boyfriend and I were sat in a nice private booth together. Our server was great! I only wish our food did not come out so fast; we barely started on our apps when the entrees came out but other than that the good and drinks were excellent!
Absolutely awesome!! The food was amazing and it was actually a peaceful atmosphere and we were in the bar area.
The food was good. The nachos appetizer was outstanding!! I went with 3 others and all enjoyed the food. One steak was cooked medium well when it was ordered medium rare. Brought to servers attention and they exchanged it for another that was cooked perfect. All in all a very good experience and we will be back.
Reasonably priced for a casual dining experience. Plenty of seating.
Everything was delicious! They put us in a room that was quieter upon request no problem. Our waitress was exceptional, attentive and personable.
While the food was pretty good, the service was subpar. They were clearly understaffed and this resulted in a lunch that lasted 1.5 hours. My children's meals came out before the appetizer, which arrived about 20 minutes before the adult's dishes. I like the idea of serving kids first, but not when they finish their meals before the appetizer arrives. Won't be returning.
Food was good but service not so much and restaurant wasnt very busy
Sever did a great job at keeping up with a very busy and over seated section. The management or hostess needs to do a better job at seating large groups in one servers section and expecting the server to handle drink refills, multiple checks (business lunches), etc.
The food was amazing!!! And the staff was super nice.
Great place to meet up, grab dinner and pre-game for The Blue Jackets!
The food was delicious, variety of choices on the menu, excellent drink selection and our server Kate was fabulous!
We had a great time. The food was amazing. I had the fish tacos. Absolutely yum. Our server Sam was wonderful. Very kind, helpful and quick. I would highly recommend eating there.
They were not set up to serve dinner, just bar traffic. Band too loud. we left and ate elsewhere. Please remove me from your email.
I know it was a CBJ Playoff Game- But needed more servers.
Staff problems caused our meal to be very late. Manager was great and comped the whole meal. We will return.
We went before the Blue Jackets playoff game. It was quieter than expected. Our appetizer came out wrong but was quickly fixed and the portion size seemed bigger than normal. Nice restaurant and perfect before games.
Great experience and wonderful food. Loved sitting out on the patio to people watch.
Great service, great food.
Webt to JT concert!
The food was excellent and I loved the ambience. I was however dissapointed with the service. I had listed in the reservations that we were celebrating two birthdays. The waitress was not very knowledgeable of the menu and kept saying she usually didn't work a full menu. She was very slow when it came to refills and by the end of the dinner she never came back to check on us. Considering I had friends who drove 5 hours to celebrate our birthdays and have dinner I was dissapointed that it wasn't recognized by the waitress/staff. I felt like we seemed more of a burden. Other then the service we had a very nice time and we will be back again for the delicious food.
Very relaxing place to meet and enjoy lunch and some beers. My out of town guests really enjoyed the local beer.
Our server KATE was top notch! She was relatable and offered suggestions. Very attentive and nice!
Food came out lukewarm and had to send the chicken pasta back because there was no Chicken. They brought out a second dish still with no chicken.
Stopped in before a hockey game and so glad we chose this over the other restaurants in the arena district. Our server was so attentive and welcoming! We WILL be back!
GORDON Biersch is always a convenient option for when we go to hockey games. It’s consistent and has great beers!
Gotta love the steaks! Right there next to Nationwide Arena so perfect before those Blue Jackets games!
There was a group of 6 for dinner on a Monday evening. The food was delicious, however our service was less than desirable. The server never stopped to ask if we needed anything, just asked as she was walking by. We had to ask for refills and the bar service took a long time. The seating seemed crammed as well as we had to push our table all the way back to the windows and even sit side saddle on the seats in order to not have the individuals in the aisle get bumped by everyone walking by. I would like to go back and hope that it was just an off night for the service because there was an event at the Arena.
Tolerating the way-too loud Pens fans was worth it after the Jackets win. #CBJ
Although the menu was limited (I'm assuming because of the high traffic from the Blue Jackets game) our food was delicious. Mine (club flat bread) was a tiny bit on the salty side but I'm pretty sensitive to salt. My sister loved the Cajun pasta. Beer and drinks were great. Great atmosphere. Our server was ON IT. HUGE applause to her because it was super busy in there.
