Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant - Buckhead Ratings and Reviews
Food was good. Server was very polite and friendly but forgetful . Forgot to put appetizer order in, forgot water, ... Yhe manager was very willing to make up for it with a comp desert. The music was so loud it was difficult to hear my friend sitting across the table from me.
Disappointed that the Carslbad chicken soup is no longer on the menu....
Came on Thursday, eagerly anticipating getting it.
The pecan crusted chicken salad was very good, except the chicken was a bit overcooked & dry.
The cheese puffs were delicious, and our waiter was very nice.
Our first visit. Apparently our waiter told the manager who came by to visit with us. He gave us a complimentary meal to recognize us a first timers. Our waiter was extremely helpful with suggestions and descriptions of meal items. They offer beer samples before you buy a glass. The glass size options were a wonderful ability to get exactly the size you wanted. Beer flights were available but we decided on our beer after having a sample. Service was very prompt. Will definitely go back again when we are in Atlanta.
We went with a group of our close friends from out of town hoping to have a place with blend of better than just bar food, sports on tv, and cool atmosphere. Although this place delivered on sports on tc and ambience, the service was simply awful.
It was 45 minutes before we received our appetizers, we had to ask the waitress at that time if we could order entries. Drinks never refilled and we had to find our server to order new drinks. Plates never cleared and to share appetizers we had to get our own plates from the servers station.
When trying to get one of the many tv's changed I asked the bartender if he could change it. He simple barked at me he couldn't do it, he didn't even tell me who could and we had to find the manager.
The food itself was very good with the exception of the fact that the hot appetizers were cold when they reached the table which was surprising as they had 45 minutes to prepare them.
Overall they really need a major change in wait staff and kitchen before I would go back even for a beer
We liked our food and server. However everything was just too slow: before we were appoached, getting simple waters took forever as well and only a few servers were running around like crazy, seems like the place is understaffed. Other then that all is good
Reserved a table of 10 for my daughter's 15th birthday so she can have dinner with her friends. The table was ready when we arrived. The hostess was friendly. I let the waiter for the table know I would be sitting at the bar plus the plan for payment and desserts. The waiter for the table kept me updated throughout the girls meal. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Several parents sat with me at the bar.
The food was good and drinks were great.
Food was very good. So was the beer. Service not so
much. No water. Took forever to have anyone take our order. Finished my small beer early in the meal and wanted another (or water or something else to drink) but didn't see our server again until after we were finished, and even then had a long wait for our check. It wasn't like they were busy either. I can see why, despite the good food and excellent beer.
Started out well, then went downhill quickly. Placed order, then waited. Food came before my date's drink. Meatball app were dry and chewy. Her tuna was the only bright spot. My burger ordered med rare came med well. Asked for burger cheese and bread only- came fully loaded. Finally got her drink, so trying to be proactive ordered another drink, water and tea. Waited and waited. Waiter noticed i had not eaten my burger and asked if it was ok. Explained to him why not, "oh" was the response. Check came before desert. 2nd visit and my last.
Not only did the server not pay us any attention but my food was raw and instead of them making it over fresh they just threw mother food back on the grill and burned it. The chicken that was ordered was a shareable size but only had 6 wings for iver 10.00 not worth it at all and they were cold. we were seated quickly but had to wait 30-40 minutes for the server to come get our drink order. When we finished our so called meal we had to ask another server for our check which was pretty sad. Needless to say I will never come back to this place ever!
The best way to describe our meal was ups and downs.
When the server was present the service was great, but they seemed to be gone for long stretches of time. We had various appetizers and entrees and we collectively agreed that some were tasty and well prepared, while others missed the mark.
Was not impressed with the wings, but the garlic fries were solid. The soup was bland, but the cheese kurds were unique and tasty. One person raved about the salad they received with grilled chicken, while my Top Sirloin and subsequent sides was very "meh".
The house beers were all very good.
Nice set-up and location and the food pricing is fine, but probably nothing worthy of a second visit.
Always have a good experience there. They were out of one of my favorites: the mushroom risotto appetizers (which I sometimes make a meal of-- with soup or salad). I ordered a half portion of the pecan crusted chicken/pear salad. DELICIOUS!!! And more than ample for a Sunday evening supper... With their yummy chicken noodle soup.
Danielle, our server, always, was most pleasant and helpful
And... Got some money off the meal, with credits from my membership card AND a $5 off from the Alliance Playbill.
Just wish we had one of these GB in our area of Atlanta-- Northlake.
