Service was a little slow, but the food quality made up for it. The falafel burger was phenomenal.
Food was fabulous, location fun next to busy Findlay Market, however, for Being a fan of Salazar restaurants, the service was severely lacking and does not measure up to the standards of his other restaurants. They were abrupt, had snarky responses to questions about the menu and borderline rude. Perhaps the younger servers need a refresher on basic customer service. Normally I give people the benefit of the doubt of possibly having a bad day but this was consistent with 3 people we interacted with at our table. Otherwise, everything else was fabulous and enjoyable.
Great food and drinks. Fairly priced and great service. Definitely worth your time.
Very, very good!
Great local fare! Good price points & superior value.
This was our third visit. Great casual atmosphere and interesting menu. Loved the fried bologna and duck. Our neighbors enjoyed their first visit. Plus Chef Salazar is as in the house.
Just can’t get enough of Goose and Elder
This little gem in OTR is definitely worth a visit. For the unique dishes they have on the menu, the prices are quite appealing. I went with a friend and we had some sort of very tasty little roasted peppers for an appetizer, along with bone marrow roasted in the bone and served with bread to spread it on. We also enjoyed our entrees. The menu is small but eclectic. I definitely will to back to try some other things. I would recommend making a reservation --- it's a small place, so, it would be good to know that they are expecting you.
The food was fresh and very approachable! It was prepared perfectly! The service was great! We had a wonderful time!
We love goose and elder!
Great food at reasonable prices. This is our 3rd time here but first brunch.
We had 8 people to celebrate a birthday and it was really fun.
It was our first time at Goose and Elder. The food was amazing! Best omelet I ever had. Great coffee. We will definitely be back.
We had a great experience today. Service was spot on, the Bloody Mary has been updated and was perfect! We all tried something different and everyone loved their meal. Will definitely be back.
The food is delicious (and beautiful) and prices are surprisingly reasonable. It was difficult to decide what to order because the menu has so many wonderful choices. We have already recommended Goose & Elder to friends.
Had an excellent meal at Goose and Elder. It was a Saturday night and we were able to get a table last minute which was nice. The restaurant looks nice inside and the ambiance is what I would call high-end homey. We ordered drinks and had the Shishimo Peppers and beef tartar as an appetizer. Highly recommend the Peppers, but beware the serving size is quite large (3 or 4 people easily). It took a long time to get our main course (like 40 minutes after appetizers). We had the veggie burger and burger with brussel sprouts and gumbo as sides. Again other than the wait time the food was delicious. Unfortunately we ran out of time for dessert.
Overall we had a great meal in a nice space that took a bit longer than planned.
50th Birthday Dinner
One of our new favorite places to eat! The restaurant is beautifully designed and ambiance helps highlight the amazing food!
My wife and I went for our annual dual birthday dinner. It was pretty underwhelming. No one asked about or acknowledged the occasion like other restaurants in the area. The food was a little above average at best. Atmosphere felt like a work in progress and it was noticeably understaffed.
To be honest, it was extremely forgettable overall. Probably fine for any random night out, but I would never go back for anything special.
Great food, great place, great service. Five Stars
Delicious food. It took quite a long time to come out, despite them not being insanely busy. Would go back.
Delicious upscale entrees. We tried a variety of dishes and loved everything. The value is outstanding!
Our first time to Goose & Elder and it turned out to be a perfect spot to celebrate Valentine's day. Great food, atmosphere, service, and location. My wife and I area excited to return. Thanks for providing a wonderful place to spend time with someone I love.
My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day at Goose and Elder. We ordered the Duck Leg Confit which was served with creamy grits and braised greens. We also ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower curry. The meal was wonderful and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this lovely venue for both its wonderful menu and atmosphere. We drove an hour and it was so worth the trip. Looking forward to a return visit!
Food was good, server was excellent. Nice big windows. Overall good experience.
We had a wonderful experience at this fairly new restaurant. It is a bit eclectic, yet it’s comfortable and has a varied menu. Nice selection of local and national beers.
We were first in and last out on a Tuesday afternoon/evening. In at 4:30 and out shortly after 9:00. It was a great place to catch up with a friend!
We eat frequently at Goose and Elder. Love the Sunday night vibe, easy and relaxed with no wait.
The food is refreshing.
Celebrated my bday here with my Mom! It was my 4th visit here and it is ALWAYS such an incredible experience. From the food, to the service, everything is always spot on.
We had made reservations in advance and were seated right away which was a positive. The service was really slow at first. It took a long time to just get water and menus and then another long wait for drinks. However, things picked up when we ordered our food and it came out in a timely manner. The food was absolutely fantastic! I can’t say enough about the quality. Unfortunately, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks and had to flag down a server to get anything. The Bloody Mary was blah....watery and no zing.
Overall I’d go back just for the goetta hash but I hope service gets a little better.
Food was terrific, ambience was perfect and service was great!
