Goose & Elder
Great, friendly service.
The food was excellent, and things moved along at a perfect pace for a business lunch.
Food was great! The birthday desert was also amazing. Only downside: They said they didn't have ginger beer to make a moscow mule but would give me a vodka and gingerale with lime, but then my drink came out a vodka soda.
Food was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and did a great job. Cool bar area also where we had a drink before getting seated for dinner.
Pleasant enough, but not special. Dined here for brunch. Surprised Bloody Mary came from a mix. Mimosa was a little weak and avocado toast was bland. Burger and fries were fine. Service was good. Great location to Findlay Market.
Food was excellent. Easy parking. Service was ok. Value is amazing. Definitely recommend and we will go back again. Great location across from Findley market.
Great, fun menu. Food was delicious. Excelent value.
Service outstanding. Food, eve hamburger and meatloaf had unique flavor.
Amazing - I've been fortunate through work to eat at some of the best and most exciting restaurants around the country. The effort put in @Goose & Elder is by far and above one of the best. 21 years of business lunches and this was a top 5 experience for me.
First time to visit, loved the vibe! Sat at the bar for a few minutes, bartender was great, very engaging... moved to a table and service was excellent. We had the shishito peppers for an app, which were simply done but superb. The fried bologna sandwich and the duck confit were both fantastic. Well done!

Delicious food great service
A great new dining option from Jose Salazar. Lower prices with a limited menu, but still good food, nice atmosphere, and attentive service.
Everytime i have been I have had a wonderful experience. Food is very fresh(big salad, spinach salad), sweet potatoes hummus is amazing, both desserts (crème brûlée, chocolate cake) are perfect. The staff is amazing, the location is very pretty and the view/windows on the market. Really a great place !!
Great food in a casual setting in the Findlay Market district.
The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.
We absolutely loved the food and the staff made great suggestions. We will be back! Fried bologna had me skeptical but it was amazing.
It is a good place - the selection is very limited but what they do is good.
The service was good. The atmosphere was nice. The food was sub par, and not what I’ve come to expect from a Salazar restaurant.
Consistently amazing. Brunch is my new favorite there!
It was bizarre that we had to move our table to the “bar section” to receive the happy hour menu. The food was fine, but nothing with a wow factor.
ABSOLUTELY FAB!!!! the food is unique and amazing! the fries with gravy and bacon is to DIE for -- salad was incredible, mac n cheese with jalapeno completely delish - but the best was the fried bologna sandwich! Not a typical fried bologna sandwich from your throwback days - but a GOURMET one! Happy hour drink prices, love the atmosphere, ambiance, great vibe and staff is key! :) Totally recommend to everyone!!! JUST GO!
Food taste was wonderful. Portion sizes were perfect, except the portion of grits overwhelmed the duck.
Sidebar—love the wallpaper selections and paint colors!
Food was incredible. Everything was well seasoned and executed very well.
nice low key atmosphere with comfort food options; bit pricey for the style of food
Just opened, Food was superb, service was helpful and engaging, location was fun and friendly. Jose was there as well to insure startup goes very well.
The menu is eclectic and I loved the variety even though it seems weird. German schnitzel, avocado toast and fried bologna sandwich all on the same menu... But it works. The burger was basic and over-cooked, but the fried bologna sandwich is a masterpiece! Cheesy with slaw and a perfectly cooked egg, I cannot say enough about how good this is! It's messy but worth it. I am giving G+E some allowances since they are so new. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks... It is incredibly loud to the point of being unable to hear your dining partner, and they are adding an awning to keep the direct sunlight from blinding you.
The food is solid and they service was on point.
It was a great meal
Great duck leg and steak. Bone marrow was lovely. Service outstanding. A little too sunny.
Unique menu with friendly service. Highly recommend!
Was expecting the dishes to be a little bigger, given the cost. My friend and I split two appetizers and a salad, each had a drink, and each paid close to $40, while still being hungry.
The salads & food were tasty. Maybe expand the menu to include a few more choices.
Wonderful food for a great price. Server was very knowledgeable and the view on Findlay market is so nice. Bar area is beautiful too. I had the burger which was fantastic! Definitely going back to try other things on the menu
Diego our server was charming and so much fun! The quality of service and food is excellent..ambience is very nice with view of Findlay Market. The bar area is beautifully decorated. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food and value. The layout is casual in the dining room. Our server Conner was very attentive. My wife had the chicken Snittzel and I the Sirloin. Both were great. We went over to the vast bar for an after dinner drink. Also great atmosphere and Andrew took care of us.
Really enjoyed the wings... looking forward to trying the steak.
Loved it! Food was excellent. Look forward to my next meal.
We came to celebrate a friend’s Birthday (and for Sunday Brunch)! Great greeting as soon as we walked in - the hostess was friendly and sat us even though we were early.
We decided to try some of the Cocktail Specials- the Corpse Reviver #2 and the Harvey Wallbanger - our friend got an iced tea. Both drinks were served quickly and were good. Be careful - the Corpse tastes like a lemonade!! The Harvey Wallbanger was great!!
We had a few questions about food and the server was great!! We got the French toast (sans almonds), the Royale Goose (the burger), and the avocado toast with the name on the side. All of the food was outstanding!!! I am as worried the jalapeño jam was going to be too spicy - it was not - I put it on the toast.
Our server, Mac was outstanding too!!
Five stars for Goose & Elder!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We’ll be back.
We were disappointed. The service is very slow and the food is not
I had high hopes for this place. Love Salazar's flagship restaurant and Mita's but was underwhelmed by this latest offering. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and my wife's was really off. Not drinkable. Weirdly, five minutes later, our drinks came out again (!) This was a mistake so they gave me the extra beer for n/c. My wife took the opp to try the second cocktail and said it was different but still terrible. haha
Our appetizer was tasty and came out in good time, but we did not get our main dishes until 8:25, an hour and ten minutes after we sat down. The food was all good but 1:10 for a basic burger? Not really worth the wait and the super loud and frenzied atmosphere. There were servers actually running to tables to clear them.
The view of the market was great and the service was very friendly even though the waitress had to repeat things on several occasions b/c we couldn't hear her. I can't imagine working there. We had to shout to converse. It became comical. Maybe going at a more quiet time and ordering only wine or beer would yield a better visit.
We were asked how our experience was and so we shared our thoughts in a friendly, constructive way. The manager was really concerned and went over the top to try to make it right. I think they will start to get it right, with time. Currently they seem overwhelmed but the manager and staff all provided great customer service and you can tell they are putting their hearts into it.
The menu isn't for everyone. Sacred Beast is also doing the elevated comfort food thing in OTR. This isn't all that interesting/elevated, but it's also a lot cheaper than SB. It's nice to see an attractive, energetic place on this street. I'm sure many will love the late-night hours. For us, it will be Salazar or Mita's every time over Goose and Elder, though.
I have been waiting for Goose & Elder to open for a very long time, and it was well worth the wait! We had the Mac & cheese, steak frites, and grain bowl, all of which were incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit to Goose & Elder, and look forward to returning soon.
