Determined to recreate an atmosphere from the 1930’s, back when Tarpon swam in herds off the Texas Gulf Coast, we strive to take our customers back to a time and place that their parents and grandparents enjoyed. We set out on a journey from Port Isabel to New Orleans to find the finest photographs that are still intact from that time period to adorn the walls of our Gulf Coast seafood house. We also acquired a 25,000 lb. steel propeller as well as a 1939 Chris Craft Runabout boat and both are on display in our restaurant for your enjoyment.

Our server, Elvis, was great! He made suggestions that allowed us to try something different - the fried flounder poboy was delicious! And I loved my grilled red fish. Oysters were great too!

Booked through open table. Was seated 15 minutes after our reservation time because it was extremely busy. Strike one before we ever sat down. The hostess seemed flustered and not well trained or capable to handle the volume and not only that but the guests complaints.

GUESTS WERE AT THE HOST STAND ATTEMPTING TO TELL MANAGEMENT AND HOSTESSES HOW TO SEAT TABLES. Other guests were also at the front complaining about the wait.

My server and the bar server/waitress were both excellent. The food was good as well. Took a little long to come out but looked like we got stuck behind a large party which is understandable.

All in all I enjoyed the food and service but am nervous if I make the drive from Katy will I have to wait 15 minutes or 30 minutes for my RESERVATION?!?!

The past 3 times we have been there we have been seated near large (10-12 people) parties who were very loud. Last time the people were also very drunk. This time they were actually shrieking at each other. The server could barely hear to take an order. Conversation with our dinner companions was impossible and we left early. Don’t think I want to come back anytime soon.

Food was excellent! Our server, Barbara was also wonderful! Food was a bit slow coming out because they were pretty busy, but she continued checking on us and updating us and everything was nice and hot and flavorful when it came to the table.

This is a great place for seafood. My Grandma loves oysters, and this is the place that we always go for oysters.

First time visit,arrived at the reservation time was promptly seated. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was great. The service was great as well as the quality of the food was well prepared and served at the correct temperature. The menu had a great variety of selections that should be appealing to all pallets. Plenty of parking well lighted, easy to access to location from I-10.

Wonderful dining experience. The fish and shrimp were so tender. I really liked the shrimp empanada. The complimentary garlic bread was a nice touch. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting good, fresh seafood. Very reasonably priced.

The food is consistently good, but the prices have skyrocketed and the food hasn't changed. I think they need to up their game. Service was mediocre at best.

I've had very good experiences @ Goode....but not today.....service was wasn't good....just ruined the date.....I guess it was a bad place for lunch during valentines

Great as usual. Tough to get beyond getting an order of Campenchana. Fried oyster salad was wonderful and the remoulade dressing was perfect.

Gumbo was great, the etouffee was average but the mesquite grilled halibut was amazing. The desserts were also done well.
