About Goode Co. Seafood - Katy Freeway
Determined to recreate an atmosphere from the 1930’s, back when Tarpon swam in herds off the Texas Gulf Coast, we strive to take our customers back to a time and place that their parents and grandparents enjoyed. We set out on a journey from Port Isabel to New Orleans to find the finest photographs that are still intact from that time period to adorn the walls of our Gulf Coast seafood house. We also acquired a 25,000 lb. steel propeller as well as a 1939 Chris Craft Runabout boat and both are on display in our restaurant for your enjoyment.

Goode Co. Seafood - Katy Freeway Ratings and Reviews
We had an excellent experience on Monday night. It was our first time to this restaurant for our family. We went for my brother's birthday dinner. The food was excellent. I had one of the featured specials - grilled snapper topped with avocado, shrimp and tomatoes. It was the best snapper I have had lately (including Eddie V's a few months ago). My niece and nephew had the filet with crab meat, and they finished their plates. My brother had the stuffed flounder and my dad had the sea bass....both were excellent. Our server, Elvis, was extremely attentive and made sure we had water at all times. He was very knowledgeable of the menu. He was extremely accommodating and let us know if we did not like something for some reason to let him know and he would replace it. We will definitely be adding Goode Company Seafood Katy frwy to our list of restaurants for family birthday dinners in the future!
We have been Goode Co Seafood customers for many many years. It is one of our favorite restaurants. Last nite my mesquite catfish was off. Fish when cooked is very tender and flaky however last nite half of mine was very rigid and tough like eating a steak rather than fish. Except for our empanadas all of our food was almost room temperature. There happened to be an enormous group event there and as we were sitting nearby could see all of the service and kitchen working to get everting served to the group to this massive group. This may have had something to do with our unusual “off” experience. Still I expect more from GCS.
We can't wait for the end of summer months with no "R" in the name so we can have oysters again the Goode Company Seafood. It's a great place for all sorts of Gulf seafood, but the oven-roasted oysters are beyond compare! Service is always prompt and friendly; we go so often that the décor feels like home to us now; not a place to go for an el cheapo alternative, but who wants oysters on the half-shell at a discount establishment? We love Goode Company Seafood - we have ever since Levy Goode was breaking into the business as a junior manager there.
It's been a while that I've visit Goode &Co Seafood approx.4 years ago. The food was great in various variety BUT now it's seems that the Kitchen is not at its best anymore..And the atmosphere is terrible, the smell!! It needs to be renovated to get its sprung back...Please work on some renovation because that place used to be much better.
Everything was good. The only issue was I couldn't have a apple martini because the bar did not have green apple pucker. I brought an unopened bottle, but the establishment would not allow it in the restaurant. I brought it for them to keep so I could have my favorite drink when I come for dinner. Please buy some. Thanks.
