Goode Co. Seafood - Katy Freeway
Everything was great but the noise level was deafening.
Dining room is way too loud even to hear normal conservation. Not conducive to meetings etc. Food is excellent.
My husband and I recently visited this restaurant for dinner. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and the food was superb!
Food was not as good as usual-fish & shrimp were served barely warm & undercooked-disappointing
Birthday dinner for Dad. He had catfish, said it was ok. I got a shrimp poboy, not much shrimp. Good waiter, nice ambiance. Great parking!
Went with my wife and her parents along with our son.
We were seated promptly and service was great... It was a little lacking during the meal but they were really busy.
The food definitely was spot on. Very delicious and one of my favorite seafood spots.
Great atmosphere.... Definitely going back
Food came out luke luke warm and was average tasting
All Goode Co locations are outstanding. This is no exception. Food, drinks , and service exceeded expectations to no surprise. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
The service was great. The food delicious, I would have liked a few more fresh selections.
The drinks were mixed perfect. The noise level was a bit high, but from talking not music.
I would recommend.
We had a great waiter. Excellent service.
For high quality seafood meals at reasonable prices this is a wonderful restaurant. I ordered the baked red snapper (delicious) while my partner enjoyed the mesquite grilled chicken. Both were very good. My only reason for holding back on 5-stars is their bread is meh (tastes like white bread with just a small dab of garlic butter on it) and I have found their mesquite grilling can impart a taste like lighter fluid (she did not notice it this time).
As always a Great Food and Service Too!
Not sure if I would. The noise level was unbearable.
My server was great and food was excellent. We will be back soon.
Seafood, ambiance, and wait staff (Doug) was great - desserts not so great.
Goode Co Kitchen and Cantina continues to excel above its peers. All food is well made and often includes some unique detail to make it all better then the usual. That must be why we keep coming back.
Great food, service and ambiance! We like having a quiet place to have a family dinner and The Goode Co. Seafood never disappoints.
Birthday for husband
It was pretty good. The good was not Louisana seafood. However, it was ok. I loved the ambiance. Some of my guests didn’t like their food. Overall, pretty good
Love the vibe of this restaurant. Came at 5pm on a Saturday so easy parking. Caught the tail end of happy hour! Casual and comfortable. And that huge ship propeller was fun to see. Food was very good.
Goode Co Seafood always delivers high quality seafood with great efficiency and excellent service -- we had the restaurant weeks menu on a busy Friday night, and that was our most recent experience at the restaurant. The place was busy, but neither the kitchen nor the service missed a beat. Goode Co consistently delivers.
Would love to see them add a few more craft beers to the menu -- especially from local brewers -- and the dining room can get a little loud, but those are just observations, not complaints. We enjoyed this visit! Goode Co is a Houston institution, and deservedly so.
I would recommend this restaurant to a friend only after advising them that, although the food is excellent, the portion sizes versus the price seems out of balance. The prices will keep us from eating there very often. One other downside was that it was so loud we had a hard time carrying on a conversation.
Food is always great - service hit or miss. This time the restaurant was almost empty and it took FOREVER. I'm believe this was a kitchen issue. We arrived for a 6:45 reservation, ordered quickly and did not receive our food until about 7:35 or later. Took at least 30 minutes to receive salads then additional time for entrees.
The restaurant was really crowded and loud. This is likely because I attended during Houston Restaurant week. I ordered off of the regular menu. The food was ok. The waiter tried his best in managing such a large crowd. The gumbo was more like etouffee.
We went for my wife’s birthday dinner on a Saturday night after making 6:30 reservations on Open Table. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival and greeted by a server shortly thereafter. Drinks were served quickly and food came in a timely fashion as well. The food was served hot and tasted terrific. If you like shrimp, you’re in luck because it was the most prevalent dish on the menu in all its forms. My wife had the bacon wrapped shrimp, I had grilled redfish and my daughter had fried catfish. All were first rate, as was the triple chocolate cake we shared for dessert. The price was reasonable for what we got and we’ll definitely return soon.
The food was good but unremarkable. It was good but nothing that I have to come back for. That being said I would come back again. Service was good staff friendly
They made sure we enjoyed our anniversary! This is our new go-to for celebrations!
Wasn't as good as in the past. My husband's flounder was bland, and my son's etouffee was so-so. We usually go there to eat red fish, but tried something new. Will stick with the red fish from now on.
Our waiter Mel was very, very good. Completely professional and very attentive without being demanding. He was personable and very knowledgeable also. The food was delicious and the fish was prepared correctly - not overdone and dry like so many other places. Hats off to the chefs!
My family has always enjoyed the exquisite seafood of Goode Company Seafood on the Katy Freeway. I had the seafood platter served with a delicious seafood empanada and I wife had the salmon. We could not have had a more delicious seafood experience.
A friend and I went for Houston restaurant week and it was our first time eating there so we were really excited but it just wasn’t what I was expecting. Maybe it was just a fluke for me,id try it again, but would get something different.
great as always. Wish I had room for the campachena
Went early to avoid a rush or full room which gets noisy. Was bummed they didn’t have crab but everything else we ordered was great. One of my favorites for bacon wrapped shrimp.
Had the Texas Shrimp with Onion Rings. Fantastic! Wife had Crab Cakes ... Also good. Try their Strawberry Mojito. Perfect summer drink.
The appetizers, the wine, the entrees were fabulous
had a great date night at this great restaurant enjoyed the food and Ms. Jasmine who was very helpful
Hunter was the best waiter we have had in the last 6 months. We always have the best experience at Goode Company Seafood.
