Goode Co. Armadillo Palace
Goode's Armadillo Palace hosts live Texas music several days a week. It serves a full menu of Texas comfort food and is available for parties of just about every size. Levi is no less demanding than his father is, and no place captures the spirit of Texas music the way the Armadillo Palace does.

One of my favorite places to eat while visiting Houston
Our waitress was great. Attentive without hovering over us. The Empanadas were incredible and the pork chops were way good. Good margaritas too. Will definitely go back.
Great menu selection; reasonable prices: fantastic food.
Kids loved it. Great place and good food
Amazing atmosphere, food and fun. Will be back the next time I am in Housto
Excellent food, the porkchop with tomato bacon jam is delicious! The pecan pie and chocolate ice box pie are very good too. The house salad is big enough to split.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out this was a great experience. Great service, great food, great live music show. No complaints whatsoever.
This is Our favorite date spot! We love to have dinner and then enjoy a good concert. Food is always delicious!
Fun night for Valentine’s Day.
Food was amazing, server was amazing. The folks that were taking away dirty dishes were a bit overzealous, maybe because it was a slow night and they were bored? The moment I’d pause to take a sip of water someone was asking me if I was done and taking my plates- without asking if I wanted to pack it up-and as soon as we finished our main course, 4 people descended upon our table, coming at us from all directions taking things away. It was a little loud inside and hard to hear each other but that was expected. Overall a good experience and would go back.
About 10 seconds after I made the reactions the restaurant called to ask if we wanted to sit inside or outside and if anyone had any allergies. Love the attentiveness!
The food was good, but the selection was limited. The grill had been turned off already because of the late hour on New Years Eve. We did appreciate the extra effort by the chef and management to accommodate us. The gumbo and the shrimp on the fried seafood platter were both excellent, and the pecan pie was also very good.
Good food, fun atmosphere, friendly staff! We will definitely be back.
Yes, but only for a concert. Need way more outside full service bars. Spent the 1/2 the concert in line. Concert was very good! And after eating in the restaurant we still have to go stand in line for the concert? Need to fix that for sure. Food was average to OK.
AL a care for everything was a little much, price wise. The food was all very tasty. We share the fajita steak and it was enough for two; with two sides. All this was enough for two people. So, all together it was affordable, but only if we split it. Margaritas were excellent.
We had a nice dinner with a big group from out of town. The food was good and service was good. I gave it 4 stars because it was good but not extraordinary.
The service and food was excellent. I would highly recommend dinning here. The concert on the patio was even better. Kevin Fowler put on an excellent show as usual. Me and my wife will for sure be going back in the near future. Thanks for the great time Armadillo Palace.
It's a fun Texas style place definitely for meat eaters. Portions were good. Concert was ok, but not what we were expecting. It was more of a songwriter's round than a well thought out program on dysfunctional family Christmases. Too many f bombs dropped by Ward Davis...
The food was pretty good. Not amazing, but very edible. The service lacked punctuality and friendliness but was otherwise alright. We were here for a concert, so it was convenient. The Hall for the concert was a good venue for listening to some Red Dirt / Texas country music.
Waiter and food were good. However, this is the third time I've made a reservation for a certain area of the restaurant and been told when I got there it wasn't available. This time, I specifically asked for outdoors and confirmed my reservation the morning of. When I arrived, the outdoor area was reserved for an event. I asked why that hadn't been communicated to me and the hostess told me I asked for indoors. I had the request ready on my phone to prove I asked for outdoor seating. I wish these mistakes wouldn't happen multiple times and, if they have to occur, I wasn't accused of lying by staff.
We were looking for a local dining experience and were intrigued by the giant armadillo sculpture out front. Even at half capacity, with no live music, the dining room was very loud. It was difficult to have a conversation and even to communicate with the servers. The food was good. The venison chili was very tasty, but the made to order guacamole was pretty average. We didn't notice anything particularly special about the "damn good" margaritas, either. The seafood platter was done well, with just the right amount of corneal dusting and cooked to a lightly crispy outside and perfectly cooked inside. All in all, it was a good meal, but a little pricey. If we were to return, I would skip the drinks and guacamole and stick to splitting an entree and one or two sides.
No live entertainment when we went, but the 8 of us (all northerners) had a great time. Tried the 1/2 pig's head, interestingly tasty. Great service. No problem with separate checks.
I had never been here before. The food was great! Just a really cute homey place. I can't wait to go back.
Thank you Levi and Hugo for a wonderful evening. Excellent venue.
The food and service is always exceptional at Armadillo. We always leave happy and satisfied. Don't be scared and order the pig's head carnitas.
Great Texas fun!
We had such a fun time at the Armadillo Palace. The food was great! Brandy was a superb waitress and the concert afterwards was just as good. We will definitely be back.
Very good quality of food - kindly service and moderate prices -
The food was good as well as timing but we had to continually ask for more water and tea........ music in restaurant was too loud to speak comfortably.......we had one person with hearing aids and she had to remove them.......it’s possible we were sitting under a speaker which we would ask to avoid next time....
Absolutely LoVe this place. Food was fantastic. Concert was perfect! Can’t wait to go back.
Real Texas atmosphere and food. Friendly staff. My ribeye was just so-so for the price but not bad. Other menu items were fantastic.
Everything was excellent. Music level could have been lower to support conversation.
Service and staff were 2nd to none. Brandy, I think was our waitresses name was impeccable. Food was delicious, atmosphere was really cool. Will be back for sure when I visit Houston. Loved it.
Delicious, and excellent menu, thanks.
We really enjoyed Goode’s Armadillo Palace. Ryan, our server, was great with his recommendations. The food was delicious. We told Ryan we were from out of town and were spirts fans and he gave us directions how to get to NGR stadium & the Astrodome. We weren’t able to get in- there was a soccer match going on- but the hubby & boys were really happy to see it. I loved taking a picture of the giant armadillo!
Awesome date night! Food was fantastic and band afterwards was phenomenal!
Awesome place, great waitress who treated us well.
Really enjoyed the redfish!!
Damm Good Burger was damm good! Libby Koch was fabulous; loved her music.
This place is Amazing!!! We brought out of state guests here to show them a piece of TX! WE drove over an hour and it was worth it. We will be back. The bartenders offered some menu suggestions, and they were spot on. The pork chop is amazing!!!
