Good Spirits Restaurant
Gastropub type food was beautifully presented and looked as good as it tasted. Service was on the mark. Laid back vibe on a Sunday afternoon, but due to downtown location, I'm sure the place rocks during the week. Daily weeknight specials offer great value. This one's a keeper.
Excellant experience , the food and service was above our expectations
Great ambiance, delicious dishes and impeccable service! Good Spirits has it all! I highly recommend!
Birthday dinner for one of my friends. Everyone at Good Spirits treated her and all of us very special. The food and wine was delicious! I highly recommend this place for special occasions!
Connor is a great server very professional and made sure we were taken care of to the next level. The food was amazing and well flavored. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Five XXXXX all the way
An absolutely beautiful place! Both the food and service were outstanding! Definitely a keeper! We will be back!
Cannon our server was terrific. The food was excellent and overall great service.
Food was delicious! Always my go to restaurant when I am down visiting for work. Tried one of the burritos ( beef) and I’m still thinking about it and wanting another! So good!
Great ambiance and the food is delicious. Always enjoy this place and will be back again soon.
Good for all occasions. Date night, business meeting, and get togethers.
Fabulous. Anthony was our server. Excellent. Oysters Rockefeller. Amazing. Salmon? To die for. Steak Churrasco? The best!
Notre Dame game on tonight in the bar area! Fun times at Good Spirits!!
Another wonderful meal at Good Spirits. My Benedict was perfect and my guest enjoyed a nice salad. Service could have been better especially since the restaurant was not busy. Once our meals were served, no one returned to check so I never had an opportunity to ask for ketchup for my potatoes and my tea glass remained empty for an extended time. I love that the acoustics are good so guests can easily converse. The food is always delicious. This is a nice neighborhood gem!
Love this place! Had a wonderful dinner that started with a short rib appetizer and then a chicken dish that was simply delicious. Great wine list too!!!
Really fun place with Michelle and Kim in charge!!!
Was in for Working Women Wine Wednesday and got half priced wine.
Hard to beat that..............
Great happy hour!! The owner made a point at stopping by our table and engaging in conversation to ask us how our meal was... very personable and unexpected.
Great atmosphere with awesome food and exceptional service. Brunch was amazing.
Appetizers of octopus was tough and churrasco steak was luke warm with very little moho
LOVED IT!!!!! Had THE best salad and tomato soup and grilled cheese! Super expresso marini! My friend had a wonderful Tito's with hint of lemon peel. ALL three of us were very please with Jose's service and the great atmosphere. A TRULY HIDDEN GEM! We'll be back!
Here for our biweekly business lunch! Such a perfect atmosphere and the food is outstanding every time!! Be back very soon!
I'm surprised this place wasn't busier, but we were there early. Great food selections and the service was top notch. Will definitely be back for dinner soon!
I was surprised by the quality of food . Outstanding and the service was good too . I be back for sure specially after finding out the owners are two ladies .
Great Food, Ambience, and Service!
Indoor, Outdoor, and Bar seating.
I highly recommend!
Atmosphere so much better without the Star Wars character chef standing in kitchen window. Two young chef’s killing it. Lobster Pot Pie from a Maine Lobster to die for. Thanks guys....
We loved our lunch from onion soup and calamari fries to the veggie and regular burgers! Service was top-notch too.
I’ve been to this restaurant on 4-5 occasions and each time I’ve been very impressed by the diversity and presentation of everything on the menu. They take both their cocktails and their dishes very seriously here and the service is attentive and friendly but never intrusive. This last time owner Paul Flanigan even paid our table a visit. We’ll be back
Service and food were excellent. I highly recommend the place.
Tried the Crave menu tonight and it was delicious and the beignets for dessert were a special treat! Restaurant was pretty crowded for a summer evening in Ft Lauderdale. Nice vibe!
Seabass and the oyster Rockefeller was excellent. So was the tomato bisque. The biggest drawbacks was the cauliflower Au gratin and the calimari fries which had no taste and was over cooked and the cauliflower was just a hulk of cauliflower with melted cheese on top. Other than that the other food choices was really good.
Third time here and again the food is very good. My issue continues to be the pricing, given the ambiance. When you sit inside (especially the front high tops by the bar (I’d asked for a regular table, not high top) it has a ver bar-like feel, and definitely not the ambiance to warrant $35-45 entrees. And while the halibut was very good, it came more with garnishes than true sides and the portion size for $38 was very small. Compare that with Dune, which is super new with a gorgeous upscale interior (everyone dressed well and not the jeans, shorts, and tees at the neighborhood bar feeling Good Spirits) and where the halibut is priced exactly the same and comes with a full side. Just makes no sense. Again the food is good, but not for a place with nice, but bar, ambiance.
Lunch with friends on a Friday - perfect! Thank you to Jose our waiter and to the Chef for the delicious dishes. The fresh salads and sandwiches (we all shared) were amazing!
Uur waiter was a little disinterested however my main problem was that they reported I did not show up for my reservation. I clearly did and I checked in with the girl at the bar upon our arrival and told her my name and that we had a reservation.
So I received a No Show notice from OpenTable which I had to reply to with name of our waiter and where we sat etc... etc....
Food was good but pricey for what you get.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my sister’s birthday. Our waiter was very nice and funny. The food was good, although my farmers steak sandwich was a bit tough, but very tasty. The drinks were good. I just feel the place was a bit pricey, but overall we had a great time.
While the food was absolutely fantastic & the service was ok at the beginning....there is one one pretty significant complaint is that when they ask you about ‘a starter salad to have before or accompany your meal’, they don’t tell you it’s the full salad & the full charge of the salads stated on the menu. We had already had an appetizer, one would assume given the many restaurants we’ve been to, that it’s either a small side salad that’s included or a few dollars which was not at all mentioned, CERTAINLY NOT an extra $13-$14 per person. And we had asked him about the salad options a few times since he noted a couple so he had plenty of opportunity to say any that’s on the menu because that’s what you’ll be getting in size and price! This may not be typical of all the servers, but our experience certainly left a bad taste in our mouth. (maybe all of them aren’t trying to run up the bill like ours clearly was, who was quick to ask us to refill our alcoholic drinks, but disappeared when we wanted a refill of our water)
As for the food, we had:
-braised short rib app $16 which was amazing in flavor.
-the ‘Just Greens’ pear Gorgonzola salads $13 & Caesar salads. Caesar is a Caesar at $14 seems a bit high for no frills kinda salad . The Just Greens was a fabulous mix of mixed greens, pear, pecans, tomatoes, cucumber, crispy sweet potatoes, and the poppyseed dressing was delicious. Much better value for $13 than $14 for a plain ol Caesar.
-a halibut special entree $38 that can with a variety of veggies. my friend said was Meh, cooked perfect but lacked a wow factor and flavor maybe needed some kind of sauce on the dish bc it was a lil dry overall.
-the giant meatball $26 was fabulous, could’ve used a lil more sauce because once you cut up it up it lacks sauce on most of the pieces
-seafood coconut curry $39 was by far all of our favorite dish of all the entrees. Much better bang for your buck vs the halibut that was only a dollar less. Way more
This restaurant is consistently excellent. I go here a lot with a lot of different friends. My first introduction was dinner with a friend from Ohio who owns quite a few restaurants. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the food is consistently good. Last night I needed a light dinner and the
Service was great and food was too! Would definitely return. Yelp has a buy 1 get 1 entre coupon.
Business lunch -everything was so delicious! Great ambiance too! Loved it!
Excellent all around. Jose was great and the food was delicious. A bit pricey for lunch, but worth it.
