Good Spirits Restaurant
Came for the sushi and the plant based menu. Food was very delicious and beautifully prepared. Definitely will be back! Our server Anthony was fantastic!
Have been a frequent customer to this restaurant until this visit. Server was new, confused, did not have control of the menu or his tables. Long delay in receiving food. Tipped accordingly (15%) and then was confronted by the server if the tip was a mistake or was the service bad. Politely told the waiter his service was suboptimal. Previously pleasant dining but no plans to return to be accosted by a waiter after poor service.
I came here based off of a Google search for top brunches in Broward and it did not disappoint. I had a great time with friends! The food, music and vibe was super fun & fresh! I would definitely recommend to others.
Saturday night date with my hubby. Place was very busy but everything ran so smoothly! Loved my dish off of the new plant based menu. It was curry mushroom and vegetables with perfectly cooked rice on the side. Had to have the beignets for dessert-delicious!!
I love this place. The bar is wonderful. The menu is ambitious and the execution is very good. It looks pretty corporate from the outside, but I think it’s my new Fort Lauderdale favorite.
Sat outside. Food was excellent. The only thing was that the waitress related the appetizer specials after we had already ordered. Would have picked one of them
Glad to see GS is continuing to introduce new items into the menu. Keep it up and people will come back .
Food Excellent service outstanding we will definitely be back loved sitting outside
Food was very good (not outstanding but very above average) however i thought some of the prices were a little steep.
Pleasant enough waiter.
. Not inexpensive. Although I can afford this under the category of everyday dining most people cannot.
Seating: Indoor very comfy but congested with too much activity by staff. Every inch is a thoroughfare by design. So you’re with by a noisy bar, noisy kitchen, bathrooms or tight space. Not a deal breaker but, only because I got the seating I wanted both times.
Outdoor: Great space with not so comfy seating.
I would love another Sauvignon Blanc by the glass selection. I saw 2. One for $13 the other $19. That’s too much for an average (at best) pour. $13 is fine for a great glass. They do not offer this.
Food- Really good. Love the selections. So despite my complaints I’ll return until it fails to be enjoyable.
Fun dinner. Great place for the family to grab a quick bite to eat.
Nice wine selection. Wine by the glass was 50% off before 7pm. I had a delicious Italian red. Appetizers ordered were escargot and pork belly. I found the pork belly out of this world, but the escargot had too many breadcrumbs for my liking. Entrees- venison special and hanger steak- were just okay; nothing I’d re-order, although the vegetables served with the steak were delicious. Dessert menu had a very limited selection of 3. We had a very nice and attentive waitress.
This restaurant was perfect. Very delicious food and great service!! Atmosphere was terrific!
Cannon is an excellent waiter. He’s the best!! He made my birthday a very special night!!
Interesting eclectic menu with great vegan options but OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. I would not go back for that reason alone.
While I love the food at GS, the price of drinks is obscene. 17$ for a martini in a small glass or a Manhattan on the rocks with a glass that is half full is unacceptable.
Girls night out! There were 6 of us. We had read the great review in the Sunsentinel by Michael Mayo and wanted to try for ourselves. His article was spot on! Food was unbelievably good and the presentation fabulous! We loved our waiter Canon as he was very attentive and personable. Vibe was so fun! We all had a GREAT time!!
I joined a friend for lunch(both first- time visitors). Reserved online, so when I said what time I was expected, the host greeted me by name. I requested a table outside. The decor is very current...a little modern, a little warm. It was a bit too windy outside, so they happily moved us to a great table inside. My TOMATO SOUP and GRILLED CHEESE were fabulous. My friend said that the CALAMARI FRIES were the best calamari that she'd ever eaten. She loved her SUSHI. I had a BURGER, perfectly cooked, juicy, topped with bacon and super-skinny onion straws.
While looking over the dessert/coffee menu, the waiter mentioned that they had a special dessert today made in-house, BEIGNETS. They were served with 3 dipping items, melted chocolate, whipped cream and raspberry compote. So delicious. We had a great time and we will definitely return.
Plant based menu uniquely delicious
Had dinner here with a party of eight family and friends widely ranging in age (20s to 80s) and everyone was impressed. Our waiter, Cannon, was outstanding - extremely personable and helpful. The food and cocktails were both high quality. An unusually enjoyable dining experience.
Had a terrific meal and experience. Great end from a busy week. Very ambitious kitchen as represented by lots of very exciting menu selections and specials. The portions are generous, wonderful tastes, generous drinks, and friendly service. Paula.was terrific. We look forward to going back. We are afraid to jinx it by liking it so much. Experience was enjoyable, all around. Only opened a year but they have their act together. Nice to see at least two of the owners on site making sure everything was working well.
Fabulous all around experience! We wanted to try the new plant based menu items and they did not disappoint. The curry mushroom dish was out of this world! Bravo Chef! Loved the live music too. We sat in the bar area and the music was not too loud or over powering.
The food took forever to come out to the table. The waitress was not friendly or accommodating. I had a reservation for 6 and when we arrived at our table they had it set for 5. I had even called earlier in the day to make sure. The food was good though.
This venue can be noisy particularly in the bar area during happy hour. We went on Sunday evening (Oscar night) and there were few other tables occupied. The "get shorty" short rib app is wonderful. The caesar salad is very good and they split it for us in the kitchen, which we appreciated. Overall, the food is very good. There was a curried seafood stew special that was just OK. I expected more as it was $40. The service was very attentive but not invasive.
Fabulous sushi and the hand crafted cocktails a real treat.
It’s a great place!
Overall a good experience. A few hiccups but we enjoyed our evening. Our server was great and extremely accommodating with the few issues we experienced.
The few issues, were a specialty margarita that was too lime intense but was exchanged for a excellently balanced regular margarita. The salmon was suggested and I was looking forward to it, but unfortunately it came out extremely dry and over cooked. The rest of the dish was great. The biggest let down was that we came for my husband's birthday and it was noted on the reservation, but unfortunately there was no acknowledgment of the celebration.
Again, we definitely enjoyed the evening and look forward to trying it again when we come back to Ft. Lauderdale.
We all enjoyed our cocktails, wine and the mani and halibut special were delicious. We also had a the calamari steak fried and I would highly recommend them.
The service was phenomenal and our server was extremely knowledgeable about all of the different options. She did not steer us wrong! The food was amazing!
Not a good table in the house. Menu prices are very high which is fine, but the food is quality is just alright. It would be hard to give it another try considering the price.
One of the best places to eat in Fort Lauderdale! The bar area is wonderful!
Our party of three was only midway through the starters when the main course was brought to the table. Dinner consequently was very rushed.
Interesting space. Ordered filet that came out cold. Too expensive for what you get. Better food at JMarks.
Food presentation was BEAUTIFUL, everyone seemed happy with their meals (mahi-mahi, salmon, pork, and sushi). Seemed like it was a “training night” on a Saturday...we had too many different people helping...the plates were delivered to the wrong person (me, twice) before I got what I ordered and there was drink order confusion because yet another new person brought out drinks. Our actual waiter was very attentive and like I said, the food was good...it was just the other components of the service that brought my review down a notch
You’ll spend a lot for food that’s only pretty good. It’s a really nice place and the service was great, but the food was disappointing for the price. We ordered the hanger steak to be prepared medium and it came more medium-well. The flavor was good but it was pretty chewy. We also got a couple sushi rolls which were good but very pricy. Best part was definitely the field of greens salad - highly recommend.
I loved this restaurant. My only complaint is they don't put anything on the table while you wait for the food (no bread, or anything else), but the food was out quickly so it wasn't a big deal. Food was delicious, restaurant is very chic. I really liked it and highly recommend it.
Thursday evening: Food was superb! Also loved the live music and the great vibe! Will definitely be back.
The worst part about this restaurant was finding it. We are not familiar with Fort Lauderdale and relied on our GPS. It took us to South Federal Highway instead of North. However, once we found the restaurant it was worth all the trouble. Our server was amazing. He offered lots of advice about our food choices explaining them very well. I had a curry seafood which was served with cilantro rice. The curry was not over powering and married well with the seafood. The only disappointment of the evening were the beignets. They did not have enough powdered sugar and were very dry. The sauces that came with them were good but I wouldn’t recommend them. My husband had a carrot pecan concoction that was amazing. I plan to go back.
