Housed in what was once a turn of the century tailor shop, Good Measure pays tribute to the building's history, combining precision and craft. Design firm Siren Betty draws inspiration from the eras of Rockabilly and American Punk with classic checkered floors, vintage art, red neon, and studded leather barstools. In a soundscape made up of Naked Raygun, Fugazi, and Bad Religion (just a few of our favorites), partners Sophia de Oliveira and Chef Matt Troost will ply you with classic cocktails and cult-inducing dishes.
We invite you to come by and escape your everyday routine. You are welcome.
Came in on Saturday and the bartender could not have been more rude. My girlfriend and I usually love this place, I don’t write reviews, and have been here about 10 times, but this experience had us almost not wanting to go back. The fried chicken was good as always, but they were out of rarebit cheese dip. Seriously? Anyway I hope they step their game up because I really liked that place.
Thank you so much for all the times you've joined us and for providing this feedback on your last experience. We strive to make each guest of ours feel welcome and appreciated every time they join us. We are so very sorry to have failed in this regard on your last visit. We'll be reaching out privately in hopes to welcome you back to Good Measure, soon. Thank you, again. - The Team at Good Measure
Food was very elevated for bar food and the vibe was fun. Unfortunately it was not very busy but it seems like it has a lot of potential and still trying to get recognized. Highly recommend.
Good burger and meatball sub. Suppli was delicious.
Nice restaurant with very good food and very nice cocktails - only minus was a bit high music
Rarebit made the meal, although everything was both interesting and great. Fantastic Ska and Punk era playlist too.
We just moved to River North and are on the hunt for a good "everybody knows your name" restaurant/bar as our go-to. The food here, though limited, was wonderful and the service exceptional. The cocktails were outstanding and the ambiance was quirky and fun. However, the music was unreasonably loud. I am all for fun and energetic but this was unnecessarily blaring.
Amazing food. Creative, delicious, and just what we needed. The beer and a shot was fine too.
Went for a quick bite on a Saturday night before the fireworks show. Food was good, cocktails were tasty. we were nicely surprised it was actually quieter than we expected from a popular place like this (maybe it's because it was a long weekend and people were out of town?)
