Slow service and average food quality
Superb bison burger — one of the best on the Twin Cities! We visit the Good Earth often; it’s one of our favorites.
Overall, our experience was good. We did feel the service was a little off from previous visits, and wondered if they were short-staffed during that time. Everyone at our table enjoyed our entrees. I enjoyed trying something new and really loved the Evening in Missoula tea!
Our meal was very good! And our server was very attentive and personable. The only thing I would say is that our table was a little too close to a booth, because we could hear the entire conversation of the people sitting in it. It was somewhat distracting. But we will return for the food and the service!
Good wine prices by the bottle. Food was okay, a bit much soy sauce or tamari used for seasoning.
It was crowded, but the service was terrible, abrupt and rude.
Had a good time catching up with a friend at the Edina / Galleria Good Earth location. The food was very good, and the service was great! At first, upon taking our orders, our server Cole seemed a little distracted which resulted in a wrong order... but was very sociable and engaged in meaningful conversation with us while we discussed a theory related to our professions.
Something must have gotten messed up with our orders, because my friend had ordered the Ham and Cheese omelette but received the Mushroom omelette instead. She didn’t mind because it was originally her first choice.
We were there for quite a while sitting and chatting and I’m sure the employees would have loved to have us wrap it up to provide seating for their lunch rush guests. We didn’t feel pressured at all to leave and we’re well taken care of the entire time.
Waiter was attentive and great. Loved the food as we always do.
It’s always good there. Just wish they’d bring back the cheese enchiladas.
Excellent food, very good service. Nachos are too large a portion.
Breakfast was great! Food and service were wonderful! My only criticism was the sausage was super spicy and the server nor menu didn’t note that and I could eat it. Otherwise excellent and we will certainly go again!
We always like the monthly specials. Wish the website would reflect the current specials. It’s disappointing to see something on the web and then find out that was last month.
Food was excellent. Birthday celebration. Service was OK. Was excellent on our previous visit. We do like The Good Earth.
We received a slice of carrot cake to celebrate my birthday. As always great service and we were done before the crowds arrived. Another wonderful dinner at the Good Earth in Edina!!!
Decent menu. Well-prepared food and excellent beverage selection with variety of tea and coffee offerings. Reasonable service. Good option if in Galleria.
We’ve realized how much we enjoy Good Earth (after all these years).
It is reliable, with old favorites as well as new options to try monthly. Whether looking for those faves—or ready for something new, they have the menu to match your mood.
Also, some really delish offerings, without breaking the bank as some other restaurants.
And Daniel has been the most lovely, conscientious waitperson.
I also like the way there’s always something(s) healthy...but you don’t feel you’re making any sacrifice, which makes it even easier to visit this place regularly! (And maybe even get dessert)
The food continues to be very good but the service has become extremely slow. The restaurant was not even busy at the time. The restroom situation is still a problem. There are only two unisex toilets and one was so disgusting that everyone lined up for the other one.
Always delicious and healthy too. I love the comfort and ambiance of the Good Earth. The service is always great, from the host to the wait staff and bus people. Year after year it is consistently good.
I have eaten at the Good Earth dozens of times over the years but never for breakfast. The lunch and dinners are excellent but breakfast was pretty bad. Eggs were raw, bland, tasteless. Waitress appeared sick. I will not return for breakfast but will for the lunch and dinner menu!
I love this place for authentic food prepared from scratch. Also, the bottom line for me is that I need gluten sensitive and dairy free dining and Good Earth has this. They also have different foods/dishes that they feature on a monthly basis so it brings seasonal things into focus as well as some menu changes. I want to want to eat healthily when I go out and that means I can always go to Good Earth!
I just loved going to the Good Earth for any meal -- my favorites are Joe's Eggs and one of my favorites from before I wish they would bring back -- the Vegetarian Enchiladas. I was disappointed in the smaller sized whole wheat buns and that they now charge for them...
But usually the food is fresh and tasty. My favorite is the tea -- hot or cold!
The Joe’s Eggs were great as usual I don’t like being charged for rolls especially if the are not warm and fresh. Else everything was great!
The waiter was creepy, weird and awkward.
My Greek salad wasn't as grand as it has been in the past, still good though. Strawberry lemonade excellent.
Nice place to have a good meal. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff.
Nice place to meet and eat with friends. Food wasn't as good as usual.
Long wait for beverages. Not very busy at 7:30pm. Server inattentive.
Food was not memorable, just okay.
The food, as always was great. The service was somewhat slow for the coffee and breakfast parfait... things that I would not have expected to take long. Our waitress was cheery and pleasant .
Food excellent. Service outstanding
Excellent as always
Always good, thoughtfully prepared food. Attentive staff. Lots of healthy menu choices. The bread basket, formerly brought when asked for, now costs $2 (a small irritant. Food prices are high enough to easily absorb it.)
The day we were there, there was a plumbing issue before noon, causing a closure and a premature ending to our lunch. The bakery, accessible from the mall, is worth a stop.
I got the planet burger and was very disappointed with the tiny plate it came on, plain potato chips and the planet burger easily fell apart. When I had ordered the same dinner in the past, it came on a regular size plate, not a small rectangular one and stone ground chips were given and the planet burger didn't fall apart so easily, making it difficult to eat without making a complete mess. I think they should go back to how it was previously.
I was a little disappointed in the breakfast menu. The potatoes were too largely cut. I got the heartland breakfast. It was nothing special. I always go for lunch and this was the first time for breakfast. It was a little high priced for what you got. I don't know if I would do it again. The service was exceptional tho.
Our server was slow then tried to rush our out as soon as her shift was over.
GE is now charging for their bread baskets and the hummus we received was frozen.
Feel like the last few times I’ve eaten here I’ve been disappointed so have rescheduled my next friend gathering for somewhere else.
Even though we often choose an old favorite, the Good Earth has enough choices that we almost always have a hard time deciding. There are always good seasonal offerings and a smaller-portioned "Just right for you" full meal. There really are choices for everyone -- omnivores, vegetarians, anyone interested in healthful food. Food is carefully sourced; just the bread selection makes this clear. (However, due to rising food costs, there is now a $2 charge for the bread basket and hummus.) Food is never too salty, although soups could sometimes use more interesting seasoning and herbs. There are pepper and salt grinders on every table. I love dining at this restaurant and could easily come here 3 times a week (if it were closer to my home). It is a wonderful place to meet friends and have a leisurely chat.
Reliably good food. They reach out to accommodate different health needs.
Always love having breakfast at the good earth. It was very busy as was our waitress. It took awhile to get our food and then when we did get it our potatoes and eggs were cold. Very dissapointing. The waitress took it back and warmed it up.. in the microwave.. our meals should have been free, with the wait for our food & if it’s not right we shouldn’t have to pay for it, cold food is not acceptable. We will think twice before rushing back.
Server brought cold food to the table and forgot beverages. Everything but the pancakes were mediocre... pancakes were good.
Food was good, with seasonal items for variety. Our server was so-so. We felt ignored at first when we sat for 5-10 minutes to order. This after she knew we had been there already for 5-10 minutes. I asked for a different desert for the 3-course meal, and she said fine, but did not follow through on it. Worse yet, no desert was even served, again waiting 10 minutes, including time to process our check with a credit card. We had to get it to go (including ice cream) since we were now late for our movie. No well done, Good Earth!
We went here because it is one of my wife’s favorite places. Food was on point and the service is great. Very intimate setting and you do not feel like you are being rushed like some some other places we have been at. We recommend their turkey meatloaf, always a crowd pleaser.
One of my favorite restaurants of all time! Have been eating here for years and will keep coming back.
