Good Earth Edina
The Good Earth, however, receives plenty of adulation --- from critics impressed with our commitment to top ingredients, to a loyal clientele that make the Good Earth their first choice for hearty, healthy eating. Both locations offer a diverse menu ranging from comfort food classics to fiery curries. Yet it's not just the cooking that earns accolades.
"Good things come in the attitude of the servers, who know the menu and do everything they can to enhance your dining experience; and the airy, pleasant feel of these spaces that were smoke-free long before it became PC."
The service was extremely slow and inattentive. The food was not all that great, especially when compared with other restaurants. It is the first time I have been disappointed by the food. It is not the first time I have been disappointed by the service.
Chicken in the chicken curry was very dry and very unsatisfying. The Mango chutney served with it was basically jelly, that is, just sugary sauce with a few tiny bits of something but no mango chunks found their way in my small portion. Disappointed in the food here.
The avocado toast is delicious! Lots of options. Even organic syrup!
My favorite restaurant. I always choose it if I need to have a quiet conversation. Food is almost always inventive, healthy, and tasty. Service is above and beyond. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
Table was ready and no waiting. Cheerful and efficient server. Food was great.
Excellent food, helpful and attentive staff, appreciated the ability to make a reservation.
Delicious & Healthy!
The staff were great but the serving size of seafood served was very, very small. We like average size servings but this was laughable.
Consistently good in every category. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. The menu options are creative yet comforting, offering something for everyone. I walk out knowing I just had a high quality, nutritious meal.
Our server wasn’t the best. I asked for the muffin of the month was and he said he didn’t know and never went to check. He seemed to rush us the whole time and then when we went to pay he handed us someone else tab that was already payed for and signed.
Met here with friends and had a wonderful and delicious food!
Love this place normally but was a little annoyed when paying 1.50 for strawberries on our pancakes we got 3 slices of a strawberry. I’m not even confident a full strawberry was provided. If we weren’t with a friend I would have certainly brought this up with the server.
Besides that, the food was delicious! We love the kids menu quality and the pancakes.
This restaurant is worthy of being on anyone's dinner agenda. The service was very good and prompt. what I really liked was that the menu had a nice variety and the portions were not oversized. Huge portions usually mean that the food is not as quality. In this case i was just right and very good food.
Great place to connect with good friends and good food!
I ordered an omelet and was disappointed that toast was not served with it. Otherwise good.
My husband and I drive from Maple Grove to Edina for the always wonderful food and friendly service. We love the atmosphere. It's not noisy and doesn't give you that packed in feeling! We love it and will keep coming back.
Love love love going to eat at Good Earth.
Staff are always friendly and efficient.
The portion size of our meals this time was amazing.
We've visited the Good Earth many times and have always been pleased with the food, service and value. The monthly specials add variety to a main menu, in my opinion, that features too few choices. I recommend the Bison Burger (very pink) with cheese and sauteed mushrooms, and don't forget the house-made chips!
One of my favorite restaurants in the Minneapolis suburb area. The menu changes seasonally, and the food is always themed around a few key in season ingredients, such as beets and kale, or watermelon and mint. It's delicious, has a plethora of vegan and gluten free options, and has good healthy choices for kids as well. The outdoor seating is also intimate and cozy. Absolutely recommend!
We had a great waitress. She was attentive and funny.. She was very helpful answering our questions.
Server got a little flustered. Overall all was great.
Delicious, always since they opened their doors years ago. The food is fresh with new approaches.
Efficient and professional service. The cobb salad was okay, but nothing extraordinary. I would like to try different selections.
Such great healthy and tasty food! We found something for everyone.
The food was horrible and not cooked well at all and it was just breakfast food which I didn't think anyone could mess up to bad. Had to wait for toast. French toast was not cooked well - just bread. Egg was hard boiled not over easy.
Our server, Sheena, did an excellent job! We had some special dietary requests, and she and the chef went the extra mile to accommodate us.
Very pleased with our food and experience.
Good Earth was off today: am guessing staff shortage? We left our table three times, first to find a server , then to ask for beverage refills and syrup. Unusual for this place
Delicious food, comfortable seating and atmosphere.
Met friends for dinner after a concert. Food was good. Service was horrible. Waiter constantly returned after long delays apologizing for taking so long to “work on computer stuff”. Long wait between being sat and greeting. Long wait to order drinks. Long wait for food. Bread basket came after the entire meal was eaten. Offered comp dessert but only comped one of the two ordered. Very disappointing.
I met with two friends for breakfast, and we each had a great meal...well-prepared and just right portions! We were able to have a leisurely meal with conversation. Hope to return soon!
We have eaten here before and thought it was good. This time we had a reservation and brought along guests. We approached the hostess at the time of our reservation and she sent us to the back of the long line to check-in. People without reservations were seated before us. Our server was quick but when the food arrived it was cold. Bottomline: Life is too short to eat cold eggs.
Quiet and very cozy atmosphere. Comfortable seating that was private without seeming to be isolated from others in the restaurant seated nearby. Ample parking spaces are just outside the mall entrance and the restaurant is just inside the entrance we used. The food was fresh and delicious. The portions were not large but were filling and beautifully presented. One of the members of our party was a vegetarian and he selected a stuffed squash entree as part of a combination offered to vegetarians. My husband who is not vegetarian was offered a taste and said that he would consider it as an entree in the future. Gluten free items are offered as well. My husband had the chopped salad which was fresh and again, beautifully presented. It was enough for an entire entree. Two of us had the coconut curry chicken. I asked for no onions or chutney and my request was honored without any questions or problems. Service was polite and prompt. Beverages were refilled without having to ask. A carafe of fresh water was left at our table for convenience. We did not have dessert but there were several tempting offerings. We would definitely return to try other menu items. Very happy with this restaurant in every way.
The food is very good and portions generous but service at this location is always disappointing. Possibly they are under-staffed but the restaurant was only about half full and our server was very slow to deliver our drink orders, then gone for a long time before taking our food order. Our food came out one plate at a time (there were 3 of us) and after dinner we had to track our server down to get our check. This is the second consecutive time we have encountered sub-standard service here- We thought the first time was a one-off but we will go elsewhere next time.
A very enjoyable evening; good food and great service.
Service was slow and our table was ignored for 30 minutes upon arrival until I flagged help/menu/muffin for toddler and drinks. the food was ok-poor for the price. I had to ask for a high chair and refill of orange drink, coffee was never asked about. neither was food or if anything else was needed.
Breakfast Saturday morning, glad I made a reservation it was really busy, didn't have to wait. Our server was not on top of things this day, my husband ordered the breakfast which included a pancake and he asked to have blueberries added, and was suppose to get toast with it. The pancake had no blueberries and instead of offering to redo the pancake brought out cold berries to put on top. toast never came. I had turkey sausage scramble and it was mostly potatoes. Had to wait long time for more coffee. I usually love this place but was disapointed in the service and lack of care to see we were satisfied.
Everyone can find something to love on the Good Earth menu! Creative seasonings, fresh seasonal vegetables and well-prepared meats and seafood make for a happy evening for one and all.
There was a sweet table of young ladies out for a birthday party, and a young woman with a bevy of seniors, all having a grand time.
Wait staff clearly understaffed. Atmosphere as a result was phrenetic. Took forever to get our breakfast. Food was cold when it arrived. I would not recommend this restaurant given my experience.
Everything about this visit wasn’t quite right. From the moment we arrived and they tried to seat my party of 4 at a small 2 top table. Then proceeded to tell me that my reservation was only for 2 people...it wasn’t. Then the waiter brought the wrong drinks for 3 out of 4 of us, and they took a long time to get to the table. One of the drinks was black coffee...shouldn’t have taken too long to get that one to the table. Then 3 out of 4 people got their meals, the 4th took an extra 5 minutes.
Overall, I was just not satisfied with anything with this visit.
