   We went to Gonzo for a birthday celebration. The interior/decoration, and overall vibe feel just like being in Japan. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be going back in the future

   Even though the place is nice as well as the service the prices vs. the size of the portions is not reasonable, too small for the price you are paying and they have no mains, so it’s more for like beer and snacks rather than to have a dinner

   I love the atmosphere of Gonzo. I can see how much they care. Very small details. I appreciate those their efforts! Delicious foods Good selection of Sakes. Very cute decorations. Friendly servers. Always wanna come back!

   The seating arrangement was a bit tight, and the room was very loud due to the group celebrating next to us. Out of all the dishes, the karaage and chicken thigh yakitori were our favorites.

   Gonzo Izakaya is always a great experience in terms of dining, atmosphere, topped off with excellent and attentive service. This is a top notch spot in TO for all events with very reasonable pricing.

   My wife found Gonzo Izakaya and took me there for my birthday. We travelled through Japan on several occasions and I worked in Nagoya, Tokyo and Kagoshima over many years. Gonzo is super authentic and it truly feels like you are in any real Japanese pub in any major city in Japan. Highly recommended and the place has a great vibe and atmosphere. The staff are Japanese and offer the best service just like back home. Check out the second restroom with a map showing the staff’s hometowns!
