Whether you decide to join us for morning coffee, a light lunch, weekend lunch, afternoon tea or a gourmet tasting menu, we pride ourselves on making every meal a delicious experience that lives long in the memory, all in the beautiful surroundings of our stately home.

Our team of culinary creatives lead the way with an array of stunning dishes with the emphasis firmly on fresh, seasonal food sourced locally and prepared skilfully. Goldsborough Hall has also been awarded three AA rosettes for culinary excellence.

We make the most of the natural larder provided by our traditional kitchen garden and new glasshouse. Growing our own fresh produce is a clear indication of our dedication to creating elegant, innovative and most importantly delicious dishes for every occasion

Please advise in advance of your visit should there be any dietary requirements and if you are celebrating a special occasion with us.

Afternoon Tea served 2:30pm - 4pm, Wednesday - Sunday.

    Lovely food and the staff were helpful and hardworking. Did feel that they were short staffed and a bit under pressure. Very welcoming on reception

    Delicious afternoon tea served in beautiful surroundings. Excellent service our only comment would be to suggest to have more savouries and slightly fewer sweet treats but everything was really tasty and beautifully presented.

    What a relaxing experience we had, enjoying our festive meal on a Saturday in December. The food was good, perfect portion sizes for us in a three course menu, loved the crockery, the ambiance was wonderful. The staff were a perfect balance being friendly and attentive. We loved the house and gardens and all the beautiful decorations on a very leisurely afternoon, our first visit. Fascinated by the history too (buy a little booklet).

    Excellent service. Great food. I appreciated the availability of half bottles of wine. One small criticism, my champagne was served in a white wine glass.

    Goldsborough Hall provides the most beautiful and comfortable surroundings with a stunning garden with countryside views to calm the busyness of everyday lives. Our afternoon tea was absolutely first class in every way - presented and served beautifully and with a wonderful array of sandwiches, scones and sweet treats. An extensive choice of teas and coffee and locally grown fizz to top off any special occasion. An experience to be thoroughly recommended.

    The staff were attentuve and extra tea etc arrived promptly. Small comments re the food - the sandwiches were drying round the edges having been out on the stand a little too long. Similarly the cream. Also the outside table which was covered in dirty pots when we walked past on arrival, was still covered in dirty pots when we left and was right in the eyeline of one of our party. It was a slight annoyance to her so is worth mentioning. Other than that the room was lovely, the tea was delicious and the music perfect.
