Goldfinch Tavern at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle
Goldfinch Tavern is a collaboration between Ethan Stowell and Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. Named for the state bird of Washington, the American Goldfinch.
The upscale tavern pays homage to the city’s pioneer days, when taverns catered to lumberjacks and sailors alike, providing a place for travelers and locals to both socialize and conduct business, all while enjoying drinks and food.

I had the bistec and the flavor was excellent temperature spot on… but the cut was quite tough. The octopus was a bit chewy.. but the rest was amazing!
The food and drinks were amazing. The service was top-notch. The ambiance was nice, but I wish the view were better. If so, it would be perfect.
My fiancé took one look at the menu and balked. I enjoy fine dining, but it’s not his preference. However, everything that we ate was delicious. After we left, he was really excited and started talking about when we could return.
We had delicious bruschetta for an appetizer. It was creamy, rich, sweet, and tart. Our second appetizer was a crudo. It was citrusy and fresh. For dinner, we had scallops, which were delicious and cooked properly. The only improvement I would recommend for them is if they were seared a little more. We also had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked. For our sides, we had the lobster mashed potatoes. They were very smooth and creamy and the salt was just right. The asparagus side was crisp-tender and seasoned well. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake and cheesecake. The cake was dense and moist, and very chocolaty. The crust on the cheesecake was salty and balanced. The cheesecake was creamy and delicious. The decorations were delicate and beautiful.
The bill for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, and 2 desserts was around $250, including the service fee. (Standard 20% for Ethan Stowell restaurants)
We would definitely go back.
Ben and Tom were OUTSTANDING as usual. The food is always great along with the atmosphere!
One of the best brunch spots in Seattle !!
Great food and service, nice ambiance. Perfect for a date night.
Terrible food. Felt like a hotel restaurant at a mediocre hotel low range hotel, not the Four Seasons. Grilled Octopus was practically I grilled and no flavor. New York steak was cold, no sear on the outside, chewy and flavorless. And 70 dollars. Lobster mash potatoes tasted like it was a pre made mix garnished with overcooked rubbery chunks of lobster.
My burger was great. The crab cake was tiny. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a touch rubbery. Service was great to start then our server just forgot about us towards the end. Forgot our last round of drinks, went and chatted with another table and we sat for 30 minutes waiting for our check. It wasn't like the restaurant was busy by that time, she just decided to stop waiting on us.
The absolute best brunch we have maybe ever had. We had An amazing server and the chef was so incredibly kind, she made me a short bread dessert from Scratch that was gluten free so I could enjoy the dessert brunch trio with my fiancé! We loved our time there a d will be back next time we are in town! So many gluten free and plant based food options! Highly recommend!
Outstanding service foods were over seasoned and salty
I love my visits to Seattle and especially Goldfinch Tavern. The staff are very attentive and Tom
one of Goldfinch servers gives unmatched service. He makes my experience so much fun! Thank you Tom.
They let us move to a window table when it became available and gave us a free dessert for our anniversary. Fantastic experience!
The restaurant was amazing and our server Joseph made our visit phenomenal!
The entire staff from valet to servers were absolutely fantastic and very attentive. Can’t say enough. The food was top shelf and excellent. Bartender had a great attention to detail. With all that said, I felt the prices were a bit higher than comparable restaurants, so while I may go again, it will not be a “go to” place for me.
We always love the food and the service. The view of water is so beautiful too.
Birthday celebration, food delicious!
Dinner here was great! The view of the water was lovely.
We enjoyed excellent food and outstanding service by our server, Johnny. We also appreciated that the manager came over to introduce herself and check on us. It was the perfect place to catch up with our close friend whom we had not seen in a year & a half!
Great birthday lunch! I wished some of the brunch items were available on the lunch menu but we enjoyed our food.
Another fantastic experience at Goldfinch Tavern! The most amazing fresh local food, always creatively put together and gorgeously plated. Service is outstanding and the views are to die for!
Great looking food but for the price I needed more: the octopus, although with tasty sauce, was poorly cooked/prepared; the bread was still cold; lobster mashed potatoes were out of this world and the drinks and service were excellent. For over $100 pp I expected better…
Excellent food and service at sky high prices. The seafood special was fresh and the sauce was perfect.
Perfect location for a Mother's Day brunch! The service and food was outstanding.
Mother’s Day Brunch was splendid!
Great service. A bit on n the spendy side though
Mother's Day! Service was wonderful and I have missed brunch sorely this past year. The menu was excellent and they were able to accommodate my son's nut allergy easily. The bottomless mimosas were lovely!
Review based on dinner for two and drinks. Service and atmosphere was good, however the food lacks quality, especially for the high prices that they have. The rigatoni was salty and sub par. Hamachi crudo and grilled octopus were mediocre and drinks were nothing that special. I’d save my money next time and go to the Pink Door.
Our waiter was a real gentleman. Very friendly upbeat and patient and accommodating.
Great dining experience for my good friend’s birthday
Service was still just incredibly slow this time it helped that I let them know that we had a time crunch. We just were never really checked on yet again this time. As a for instance it took several tries to get one refill of the nice tea and coffee. The food was exceptional this time. We didn’t choose to do the course brunch and I’m glad we didn’t I think it would have taken longer and I made the mistake last time - never got a refill of bottomless mimosas and we had to finally get dessert to go it took so long. It’s a great deal to get the course brunch in theory though. Great options
Amazing menu and extraordinary service!
The service was extraordinary as was the food. We'll go back for every special occasion.
Yummy per usual 💛
It was a very nice evening- I / we love the setting and feel of the restaurant having said that we are not afraid of spending for a meal (we dine out at fine dining places across the city and country BUT the cost of much of this menu is crazy. Tiny piece of halibut with some broth and three clams in the seafood/fish special god only knows what that cost. I saw the total and it overshadowed the sights, tastes and great people working there and that's the problem with GFT.
