    Almost two years from that last time my wife and i ate at Goldfinch. Here's an update. * our greeter was not a typical greeter that ask your name, grabs the menus, and puts you at a table and walks away. Instead (I wish I had asked her name!) she was more like an old friend who greeted us with an authentic smile, grabbed the menus, then showed my wife 3 different options for tables, each with pluses and minuses. And then she stopped by again to chat. I mean, who DOES that? * our server, Jessica, came to the table very quickly and looked at me and said "I seem to remember you" and she was right! Two years later. Again, who DOES that! And she interacted with my wife and with me, giving a bit more info on ones we were trying to decide. There's one restaurant who we have been "regulars" where we get that treatment. It's such a treat to have people who know there product and love to share it with their clients AND makes eye contact as they walk by to see if there's a question from one of us. No your normal stop by, ask the everything all right and then evaporate. * and the fellow that was delivering food answered our questions as well. I think that service side of the house is a TEAM and each of them were, IMHO, authentic and committed to the restaurant's success and the joy of the clients. I just wish they were 10 minutes away vs the half an hour away! The food was only analogous to our first visit. Instead of a collection of ingredients each dish was an entity made from an ingredients, each dish had its own personality and the ingredients were woven into a well-balanced whole. The standout this time for my wife and I was the dessert - a carrot cake that was made with almond flour, had bits of raisins and nuts mixed in, and had a wonderful icing that had a texture of cream cheese but it was veggie not dairy based. Wish I could remember the ingredient. Net net it was splendid.

    Food is not bad. But while the service was good when they were at the table, it was very very slow

    Food was amazing as was service. Mains are all 40+. I guess that's where prices are today.

    An absolute gem. Wonderful addition to the Sebastopol food scene. Food is beautifully presented and yummy.

    Appetizer brought out before drinks so waited to continue ordering. Ahi app, Caesar salad both delicious. We could not request Pork chop temperature it came out medium and we like MR but, still very tasty. Service was lacking as food brought out before We had plates or utensils. Almost finished entree before glass of wine was brought. We will go again and hope for better experience

    The food and service are amazing! It’s definitely farm to table. The salad tasted like the lettuce was just picked. Omg The chicken was the best I have ever tasted. Of course our server was fantastic!

    What a great find In Sebastopol! They have happy hour on a Sunday! Food was really good, probably the best calamari I’ve ever had! Bartender was excellent, very attentive and on top of things happening. Overall an excellent experience!

    It was great! Solid restaurant and fun vibes. Asparagus with the focaccia on the side was the best
