Golden Pheasant Inn
Located between the Delaware River and Canal in Bucks County, the Golden Pheasant Inn offers fine dining and luxurious accommodations in a truly picturesque setting. We are only one hour and thirty minutes from New York City or Philadelphia, and only 25 minutes north of New Hope, PA.
The Inn had previously been family-owned and operated for over 30 years by the Faure family. Jack Thompson, of the Thompson Organization and the Black Bass Hotel, purchased the Golden Pheasant in July of 2019 and plans to reopen in the new year. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Golden Pheasant Inn!

We had a great dining experience. Our server was fun,we were not rushed and the food was excellent. We loved it.
We were excited to try the relatively newly opened Golden Pheasant, after reading a great review in the local River Magazine -- and we were not disappointed in their lovely French cuisine (the Chef apparently was at Le Bec-Fin when they were the top in Philadelphia)! The French Onion Soup was the absolute best I have ever had - better than the Four Seasons' was - for those who remember. My husband loved the fresh oysters from the Cape and the bouillabaisse - and the seared scallops were perfect! Over the years, we have been to the Golden Pheasant, as its location on the Delaware River in Bucks County is idyllic, and the restaurant has lovely dining rooms, with dining in the bar as well. Plenty of room for appropriate social distancing, as well as dining options on the front porch or the rear garden, depending on weather. Definitely worth the visit!!
This was our second visit after discovering this Inn recently. Great meal and service both times. We plan to visit again when in the area. Looking forward to dining by the canal in the spring.
We loved our anniversary celebration
This food is fabulous. Staff is awesome. We simply said alone this restaurant. We strongly recommend this restaurant.
Everything was perfect!!
We went here to celebrate our anniversary and it was just wonderful. Our waitress, Maya, was so personable and helped make our night special. The food was well presented and top notch - we both had their fish dishes. The cocktails were sooo good and the bartender did not skimp - also had an excellent wine menu! We stayed overnight after dinner - the room was perfect and the Innkeeper was delightful. Will def go back! Perfect place for a magical getaway.
What a wonderful place !
Food and service was spot on
We will definitely return
I always drive through this restaurant, but never stop by once. Until today, my girlfriend and I tried it. It’s even amazing then Michelin or dimonds rate restaurant. Fair price, amazing service, delicious dinner. A must eat restaurant!!!
It was very clean and the tables were spaced out. We felt very safe eating indoors.
Very nice atmosphere and wonderful service. I was expecting the food to be better.
Have eaten there on multiple occasions and the food is consistently excellent. Seating in either room provides a beautiful relaxing environment.
Wife and I celebrated her 60th birthday with sunday brunch.
The cocktails, entrees, and dessert were excellent. The service was very cordial, as well as, efficient.
We felt welcome and safe !! A+
OUTSTANDING MEAL, EXCELLENT ATTNETIVE SERVICE, MEALS TIMED APPROPRIATELY, NICE AMBIENCE.
We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday dinner. Ambiance, food, and service was great! We love this restaurant and enjoy every experience we have when we visit.
Excellent from Beginning to the Very End.
Amazing food and service in a gorgeous setting.
Very charming inn. Food was very good. Presentation was exceptional and service was excellent. Only reason I gave it a 4 overall instead of a 5 is that the temperature of my dish was luke warm. I would recommend this restaurant and I will go again.
Excellent food and service in a country atmosphere
Ladies brunch. Charlie our waiter was fabulous, the Bloody Mary could have been a touch spicer, otherwise it was wonderful.
Excellent service and food. Can’t wait to go back again
Good nicely presented unfortunately 3 out of 4 meals were extremely cold wait staff took plates and returned after being microwaved duck, trout were really tough, they should have replaced meals. They did offer all meals no charge, but the dinner was not enjoyable at that point. We have had dinner here previously and it was great. They did have a large event earlier possibly affecting dinner menus
Food was amazing, very clean, staff was amazingly, and friendly.
Definitely will be going back!
We had a wonderful dinner for my 60th birthday!! Our Waitress was excellent. She asnwered all our questions and was very knowledgeable about food and wine. I had the seafood bouillabaisse and my husband had the duck special. Both were excellent. I loved the atmosphere, casual but elegant. We dined in the sunroom which was beautiful, but the other dining areas looked equally nice. We spent the night and the breakfast included was also great. The rooms are also very beautiful and comfortable.
We've been coming to the Golden Pheasant for over 32 years to celebrate our first date there and were very disappointed when they closed a couple of years ago. Thankfully, they're back with new owners and better than ever. The ambience is the same lovely country inn as before. There are also extended areas outdoors for al fresco dining with space heaters. The menu is very creative,, the cuisine is exceptional, desserts are extraordinary.
Excellent service and food. Love the wine selection. Great view of the river and canal.
Beautiful in every way. Had oysters for two, which were delicious, although missing the "brine" taste. I had diver scallops -- perfection! Husband had cod -- delicious. Chocolate-cherry dessert was a lovely ending to a lovely dinner. Service and ambiance are impeccable. Stayed at the B&B in the Delaware room. Wish I could have brought it home. Will return!
Ambience- gorgeous, relaxing, inviting, historic. Service- impeccable and professional, without being stodgy. Food- exceptional. We had high expectations, which were all exceeded. Finally- they have a pastry chef in residence! My wife and I split THREE desserts- and we feel like geniuses for doing that!
This place never disappoints. Excellent food AND service- beautiful ambiance inside and out. A true gem- love to "roadtrip" here.
We missed our reservation thinking it was thirty minutes later than it actually was -- totally our fault -- and yet the restaurant bent over backwards to make something work for us. We ended up sitting at a table outside, under a heat lamp, instead of inside as originally planned. It turned out great. Service was fabulous, food even better, and the heat lamp rocked! This is one of -- if not my most -- favorite restaurant in Bucks County.
The restaurant staff was extremely accommodating and our experience was excellent. Beautiful place, creative menu and delicious food - we will absolutely eat here again when we’re back in the area!
Great meal and atmosphere! We already planning our return visit.
Five stars
Loved our meal there. Great seating outside with heaters. Enjoyed my ginger cocktail and dinner was great. The almonds torte dessert was amazing. And our waitress was the absolute best. Highly recommend!
Our first time here will not be our last. We had bloody Marys that were just right spicy with a generous amount of vodka. The crab Benedict was so delicious as was the regular egg Benedict. We shared a piece of cake that was wonderful and satisfying followed by fresh flavorful coffee. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.
I thought the food was just ok. Disappointed by the escargot and the dessert size (mouse) was just silly for the price. We sat near the fireplace in the smaller room and that was lovely. I liked the atmosphere so much that I may try it again, but for the price, I was disappointed. For some reason I thought this was the same owner as the Black Bass, but the food was not at their standards.
Always great!
Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! Will definitely be back!
Very nice locale but mediocre French-style food.
Beautiful dining expierence both indoors and out. Quaint
