Welcome to Golden Palace!
We offer a Eat-As-Much-As-You-Like Menu everyday of the week for £22 per adult, £11 per child (5 - 12 years) £5 per child (4 - 5 age) and children of 0-2 eat for free! and All our food is cooked freshly at the restaurant and brought to your table! Overall a reasonable meal, but at £23.99 it is not great value. One of the dishes served was meant to be sweet and sour, but the sauce had chillies and was very hot for a sweet and sour dish. There was also a mix up with a curry dish when the order was for lamb curry the server arrived with prawn curry!

We had a terrible experience at Golden Palace, made worse by the fact it was my son’s birthday. We booked a table in advance for 7 PM and arrived on time. A staff member greeted us with, “Table for 5?” I told him we had a booking, but he ignored it and told us to wait in the delivery area because there was no space. I repeated that we had reserved, but again, we were told to wait. With two small kids, we waited 35 minutes. I told multiple staff members we had a reservation, but no one cared. It became very clear that bookings don’t matter here—whoever shows up first gets seated. They don’t value their customers; they just care about profit and turnover. When we were finally seated, the service continued to disappoint. There were four or five staff members on the floor, and by the time we sat down, the restaurant was nearly empty. Still, they seemed to actively avoid eye contact, doing everything possible not to take our order. It took an unreasonably long time just to be acknowledged. To make things worse, when food started arriving, we didn’t even have plates. We had to ask for them after dishes were already being served. What a shame. As for the food itself, several items were missing, and some of the dishes brought to us were completely wrong. To top it all off, the bill was another issue. Despite advertising that children under three eat free, they initially charged us for our two-year-old as if he were an older child. When I pointed this out, they reluctantly corrected it. This wasn’t even the first time—it had happened on a previous visit as well, and I only caught it too late back then. This was truly one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. The lack of care, poor service, ignored reservation, incorrect billing, and failure to even provide plates—on a birthday celebration—made it an evening to forget. This is a business that clearly values money over customers. We won’t be returning.

I booked a table for 730pm, but when I went in, the staff told me to wait as they had no free tables (even though I BOOKED it). We had to wait 20-30 minutes before we could get a table. In addition, many of the dishes we ordered weren't even correct when we got them, but we couldn't even get the staff's attention to tell them to switch them out. In addition, we requested tap water 3 times throughout our dinner and never got it until the end of the meal. Horrible service.

The food was good! We ordered of off the main menu which we should have been charged for! But unfortunately no one told us it was buffet price & we hadn’t realised this until we got the bill and we were charged for it! We did try to question it but was told that was set price! Had we known we would have had more to eat at was unlimited buffet we charged for.

Booked my table online, when we arrived we were told that there was no tables available and we would have to go to take away and wait it looked liked they had several double bookings as we were not the only ones through there, another 4 lots waiting for tables, we finally got a table a 19:40 instead of the 19:00 that we had booked with no apology
