We enjoyed a casual and relaxing dinner while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. The restaurant has a spectacular view of the golf course, and we appreciated having the option of dining outdoors or indoors. The pasta offering was very good- the picky vegetarian in our group really enjoyed this! Drinks were refreshing, and the pimento cheese appetizer was a great start to our meal. Thank you to everyone for making our dining experience such a positive one.

We waited a long time for our order. The wait staff seemed efficient enough but what is going on in the kitchen. Are they missing needed staff? We had an appointment in Virginia Beach at 4:00 and thought one hour for lunch ample time. Finally got served at 1:47 and rushed to make our appointment. Not the relaxed lunch break we had hoped for.

The food was nice & view lovely. The staff did their best but there were no customers (sat evening) & they closed the kitchen & strongly encouraged us to leave just after our food arrived. It was abrupt bordering on rude. We were unable even to finish our drinks. I was appalled. They shouldn’t have taken our booking or should just have suggested we eat elsewhere on the resort. I wish we had.

Outstanding BBQ. Congrats on smoking items right on the property. This is the second time I have been there, the first visit was great. I did make a reservation but when we arrived there were no seats on the patio so we had to sit in the corner inside, next to a table where the manager was working on his computer. That is not good atmosphere. I know they don't guarantee outdoor seating, but we heard the manager later tell the hostess, she should have reserved a table for us outside and not given it to someone who just walked in without a reservation. The kitchen was very slow and the wait staff apologized, but we placed our order and then I saw someone walk in and place a take out order - she got her food 5 minutes before us? I am a local and was looking forward to many return trips, but now I'm not so sure.

This was our first experience and we really all enjoyed it. We celebrated Father’s Day there together and took the opportunity to sample lots of the items on the menu. Everything we had was delicious or service was fantastic. The view in the ambience were super nice as well. We are anxious to return!

The staff and the food was awesome. We arrived a little early for our reservations and they were happy to see us. Two people wanted to split a meal and the restaurant divided it on two plates for them beautifully. The view of the golf course was lovely. I highly recommend!

The best thing by far about this experience was the staff. To a person they were all very polite and professional. The food was not as described nor did it taste good and, as someone with a lot of experience in the food industry, I recommend a new chef.

We went for an anniversary dinner and were given a lovely dessert on the house! Nice choice of cocktails, and a good menu - all with lovely views over the the golf course. The staff were very attentive and friendly without being overbearingat all!!

This was a great spot for us. Easy to park and just what we wanted by being able to get a small meal. My wife had the burger and I had the selection of barbecued meats. The people were friendly and we escaped the usual Williamsburg crowds. Nice place for meal. Logan, our server, was very attentive and looked after my wife's dietary restrictions.

Food was mediocre at best. No one finished their meal. Service was terrible even when tables emptied out. No one removed dirty dishes-I literally had appetizer plate and dinner plate when waitress brought my dessert and she made no effort to remove dishes when she took dessert order, brought 1st person’s dessert, brought 2nd person’s dessert 7 minutes later or brought check

This spot is still amazing. Have been traveling for lunch as a daytrip for many years, but had not been back since 2018. The workers are friends by the end of the meal still, and the food is super- healthy and tasty. A real delight.

The food here is OUTSTANDING. I went for dinner recently and honestly, it has become my go-to spot in Williamsburg ever since Chef Meg took it over. The menu items are creative and prepared perfectly! Some of the best food in the area, and the service was excellent too. Definitely a hidden gem!

We have been wanting to try dinner at the Golden Horseshoe and are so glad that we did. Our meals last night were delicious, both the salmon and the brisket rice bowl. And the burrata appetizer to start was equally impressive. Even the specialty cocktails were terrific. This is a hidden gem in Williamsburg. Kudos to the chef for such a broad and creative menu, and to the warm and welcoming wait staff. Sally & Ken

I had smoked pork on my salad, hubby had 3 meat smoked plate (brisket, pork, and chicken) and son had delish hamburger(smoked too). Everything was amazing and fresh! Chef Meg came out to greet us during dinner and she was very personable! Such a nice lady and great chef! Don’t forget to try the blueberry cobbler bread pudding!! Best bread pudding I’ve EVER had!

Such a lovely time we had! We thought it would be fun to go to colonial Williamsburg for our second wedding anniversary. There were so many restaurants to choose from but fortunately we chose the best! The Golden horseshoe had great food, great ambience, Ashley, our server gave us great service, and because we mentioned it was our anniversary while booking the reservation the entire staff at the restaurant made it a point to come wish us a happy anniversary at our table. :) we had so much fun, and if we’re ever back in the area, we will certainly visit again! Thank you for making our visit even that much better. Our dining experience here was the cherry to our sundae!

Even with difficult obstacles for wheelchairs they staff did not blink. They were great and the food was absolutely the best1 Logan is a great waiter and the bartender, she made the best bourbon old fashioned I have ever had! We will certainly go back again soon!

Chef Meg is brilliant. The apps are delicious. We've tried a couple so far, and have enjoyed the flavors, portions size and variety. For entrees, the Prime Rib is wonderful, with a nice smoky flavor and tender. The Salmon is perfectly cooked, and the gouda grits pair perfectly. The porkchop paired with veggies and mash potatoes is superb. Service is great and the wines are delicious. Desert....if you still have room, yes please!!!
