Gnocco Ratings and Reviews
Food was delicious, service ok, but definitely not great. the tables are very closely put together, which is not really comfortable and the restaurant is pretty noisy, at least on a Friday night.
Location is perfect, enjoy the food, but service should be better, they forgot our bottle of mineral water we ordered 3 times and when you walk in the host was pretty rude and rushed us to our table
We went the other night with 8 people. We ordered 6 apps for the table, 3 bottles of Chianti and everyone got a pasta entree. Everyone was very pleased with the quality and taste of the food. The wine $52 a bottle the entrees were under $20 for the pasta dishes. I will definitely return.
I’ve been to Gnocco several times and this is the first time the service was diplorable. There were only 3 tables of customers and 2 servers, but the only person who checked on our meal was the bus boy. The servers never came back until we had to flag them down for our check.
Service was sloppy (ordered drinks multiple times that were forgotten and asked for the check 3 times before it arrived). We also had an 8pm reservation (table wasn’t ready until 8.15pm) and we were asked to vacate the table by 9.30pm to allow for others to take our table - this was not the dining experience we were hoping for. We live in New York and won’t be coming back any time soon.
Food and cocktails were great. We had two of the pasta specials, and both were fantastic. Very attentive and friendly service. I used to live in the area, and revisited this spot recently - it's still good! Even better when the weather is nice and you can sit in the garden.
Everyone in my party couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was! The staff were friendly and very attentive so I didn't seem to mind that some of our courses took a bit long to arrive. I will definitely recommend this restaurant for parties or for dining with friends/dates. A great East Village casual dining experience.
