Incredibile authentic Italian food! This is a gem in the heart of East Village! Fresh ingredients, great thin pizza and amazing service!!
This is the place to be! Prices spot on! We will definitely go back!!
Great food and such pleasant service. I will definitely come back.
Great place for paper-thin pizza and quality pasta dishes. Is a tad hot in the restaurant due to the pizza oven being next to the dining area. Overall excellent experience.
Food is delicious; but unfortunately some of the worst service I've ever encountered, and I worked in the hospitality industry for years.
We went to celebrate my sister's birthday and decided to order a handful of appetizers, salad, and pasta to share. We knew it was going to be an interesting evening when our server walked away from our table multiple times in the middle of a drink order. You had to try and shout "wait, and he'd like a beer" as the server had left after only getting 1 drink order.
For some strange reason they didn't stagger anything we order. The pasta came out first and the antipasti came out last (doesn't that defeat the purpose). Everything came out in a very rushed manner. The staff tried to hurry everything on our plates and were annoyed when we weren't done with a plate yet on the table. We're talking less than 5 minutes to sit and enjoy the plates they had brought out. Finally, my mom spoke up to my server and said please slow down and let us enjoy the food, it's delicious but we're feeling very rushed. She was stern, but not out of line. From then on the server actually ignored my mother and would only go to the other side of the table to ask if we were ready for the next plates. So strange, and rude!
At the end of the meal, there was no asking about dessert or celebratory anything for my sister. He dropped off the (extremely expensive) check without so much as a well-wish. Now we didn't ask to speak to a manager about the terrible service, ask for anything to be comped, nothing. When the server came back to get the check, my mom very nicely said the food was delicious, but was there an issue with the kitchen...we felt very rushed like we were tourists you were trying to get out the door...our appetizers came last, and everyone who came to our table seemed annoyed. The server had the gall to say I'm sorry if you feel that way, but you shouldn't have yelled at me and continued to berate my mom for asking him to slow down the food earlier
Food was absolutely fresh and delicious. My table had the lamb chops, rigatoni with broccoli rabe and Tagliatelle in Bolognese. Service was quick and friendly and the menu is a little electronic tablet you effortlessly swipe to read and see beautiful pictures of their selections. Definitely going again!
Wonderful dinner for any occasion! Seafood specials were outstanding- cooked as requested, nicely presented & so tasty! We liked the peaceful enclosed atrium as well.
It was great! Love the owners and the food is very authentic!
Wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Gnocco. Ambience and service were outstanding and the arancini balls and fanook salad w/olives and tangerine was a perfect combination. Shared arugula and prosciutto pizza and the gnocchi w/buffalo mozzarella. Pizza was solid but little heavy-handed on the greens and gnocchi were nice and small w/light sauce and basil-- just little starchy. Staff were friendly, accommodating, helpful and we'll definitely be back. Thanks for a great evening.
** They make great, freezing-cold dry martinis. So many places mess around but these hit the spot.
Best thin crust pizza in New York. So thin it barely folds, owners are always there and great service.
Our food was delicious and the service was great. It was quiet enough to be able to talk, and they saved our table for us even though some of our group were very late.
The place is adorable. The outside space is even better! Waiter was great. The food was delicious!! Highly recommend Mezzi Rigatoni con Salsiccia e Crema di Broccoli Rabe...can't wait to eat it again!!
Service very personal and terrific. Warm, lively ambiance on cool, rainy night. Pasta dishes were outstanding. Fresh pasta cooked perfectly. Fish special was good. This was second time in and will be back again.
Cibo fantastico, il cuore dell’Italia nella grande mela.
Wonderful food , ambience and service. My friend was thoroughly impressed.
Great place only downside was a pizza tour that came in with about 50 people. Quite noisy but once got in and the door was shut to the room they were in it was fine.
Hate the menus on tablets
Excellent food and atmosphere. I recommend it strongly.
Spectacular ambiance, service, and food. One of the top restaurants in the city.
Food was terrible 😭. Never will be back again. Steamed brazino had no flavor. The loin of pork was over cooked. Took my beer glass away for what ever reason.
Excellent spot for a work lunch! The food, Service and ambiance was great. The husband & wife team were excellent!!!
Delicious authentic italian food, great casual atmosphere with an inviting back garden space. excellent service! Will definitely frequent again.
LOVE this place! Perfect for date night or yummy Italian with some girlfriends. Great selection of wintes as well.
The food was amazing. The restaurant is a very casual place, which I love. A great combo!
Very cute backyard area where you must sit (actually the inside of restaurant was pretty empty but the backyard was packed). Very nice and accommodating staff though a bit unprofessional. Food was good! Not the best in the world but worth going once. I had the pumpkin ravioli special that was amazing, we split the rice balls also veryyy good, and special burrate appetizer that was ok. Worth a glass of wine but skip the cocktails. We were also there for three hours so the vibes were good.
Service was great and the pizza was excellent. The surroundings are definitely is a little rough around the edges, but it would make for a great neighborhood spot. Probably not ideal for a work dinner.
I love Gnocco. Their food is excellent and the patio area, with the view of building backs, reminds me of the restaurant Antica Pesca in the Trastevere section of Rome.
Their service is amazing, great for large groups. Highly recommend their cocktails and their tartufata pizza
Wonderful place! The food was excellent, lovely backyard, stellar service!
Gnocco was great. The food was good, the service was fantastic. The only thing is that the brunch menu is limited and if you have an egg intolerance you find yourself with a grand total of about 4-5 options which are: 2 pizzas, 2 paninis, and the pancakes. Throw in a lactose intolerance and you're down to about 2 options. Otherwise a great little spot—the food is quite good and you'd be able to get a larger selection at dinner. The outdoor dining is a beautiful option. Since it's in a greenhouse it also is great to sir in during the winter.
Excellent food. Fresh and well prepared. Loved the pizzas, meat balls and mozzarella. Will come back next time in NY
Loved food, truly special authentic Roman food.. fun atmosphere

The food was just average. This was a recommendation and expected better. The server didn't tell us about specials which we would have chosen. We were seated behind a serving wall that was there silverware shelves and noisy.
Maybe just a bad night but not going back

Completely fine. Nothing special but no complaints. Probably won’t go back but served the purpose of a crowd pleaser in the area.
