Whatta surprise! Great menu featuring a wide variety of plates both big and small, amazing salads, terrific thin-crust, delicious & nicely sharable pizzas. Also excellent wine list. This is worth a trip way East between Aves. A and B!

We had a great time at Gnocco. I already recommended this restaurant to my friends. We will definitely go back. The food was out of this world!!!

The host and hostess were fantastic. But we were quite unimpressed with our server. We felt that she was just going through the motions, and just didn’t care much about the experience we’re having.

I was so excited to try Gnocco after reading the reviews here on OpenTable, but was sincerely disappointed with the food we had. The bread that they brought to the table was dry and mealy, it tasted stale. We ordered the gnocci and rack of lamb to share. The gnocci tasted like it came from a box and the red sauce was so watered down - tasted like cheap canned tomatoes. The lamb was very tasty, but the dish only came with three very small chops and a couple of very dry potatoes. My boyfriend got a glass of red wine that was un-drinkable. It was valentines day, so we didn't want to make a fuss. Unfortunately, when we left this $100 meal we were both still hungry. Terrible value for what we got - there are amazing places in NYC to go and spend $100 on a meal, the quality was severely disappointing at Gnocco.

Honestly loved the look of the place. We sat in the back in a kind of greenhouse space and I think that’s the coolest looking part of the restaurant.

We had the truffle burrata to start and we both agreed it’s one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. We had a pizza and pasta as well and both were excellent.

Drinks were great. We went on Valentine’s Day and they brought out a small complementary mixed drink that was lovely. Service overall was great. We had to wait awhile to put in our dessert order but they apologized and comped it for us without us even saying anything (we weren’t going to anyway).

Overall we loved this place and we had never even heard of it. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning.

A special menu for Valentines dinner was created. Excellent! I enjoyed octopus carpaccio and black ink ravioli stuffed with lobster. My Mezcal drink was everything..lol
Gnocco never fails to meet my expectations. A LES gem..will return definitely.. Tutti va bene!

No complaints whatsoever. We had a reservation and were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was fast and attentive and I thought the iPad menus with pictures and descriptions not only for the food but the wine pairings as well was an excellent choice. Other places need this desperately.

We went to Gnocco for Valentine's Day and this little gem of restaurent in Alphabet City did not disappoint. People there are lovely and many of the staff are Italian from Italy. Although, it was a busy night we were never pushed to finish our meal. The atmosphere is very soft and woody which makes it very warm, the outside garden where we were seated (by request) is nicely decorated and feel festive. The highlight is the food. Our pasta dishes were full of flavor. We had "Tagliatelle con Ragu e Piselli" and "Gnocchetti al Pomodoro e Mozzarella" and both were really excellent. I highly recommend their desert platter because they were to die for. We had "Dessert Tasting 3/4 people" and they came warm, they were fresh (not fridgy) and the little biscottis were so soft that we couldn't believe they did that. Our overall experience was really delightful and made our evening very special.

Waitress was a little clueless. Did not explain menu or specials, just handed us the iPad menu. Owner let us choose our table and small plates were generously sized. Food was very good and I liked the descriptions of the wines readily available on the ipad(as well as photos of the food)

The managers or owners are quick to scream at staff, throughout the night and in front of guests. That made dining here uncomfortable for myself as well as the other people waiting. Food was great, but probably won't be back. Felt too bad for the people working because they were clearly short staffed and it was hectic.
