Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. A tiramisu is a must here accompanied by a single estate espresso. Outside seating is available all year round in the courtyard of St George church

everything was excellent! Particularly our waiter(Alexeadros?). And also our lady sommelier whose name I did not catch.But every single glass she recommended was excellent!! The ambience inside was outstanding with beautiful chandeliers hanging across the restaurant and the outside Terrace was very lovely as well with very pleasant live music ! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the downtown Central Athens area near the Acropolis .

The wine stewardess was amazing....great suggestions. The food was very good and worth the $$. There is construction on the outside sidewalk and it does take away from the ambience.

Η συνολική εμπειρία μας ήταν πολύ ικανοποιητική το φαγητό πολύ ωραίο το περιβάλλον επίσης κ το service άψογο. Επίσης μας κέρασαν στο τέλος γλυκό που μας έκανε πολύ καλή εντύπωση. Ολα υπέροχα. Το μόνο που έχω να πω είναι επειδή κατά τις 9 ξεκινάει κ τραγουδάει ένας τραγουδιστής ότι ήταν αρκετά δυνατά κ δεν μπορούσαμε να μιλήσουμε.

The restaurant was exactly what we wanted. Design beautiful, the food was delicious, even the salad dressing was amazing! Definitely recommend

Very good food and service. We fad a burrata and a pasta with tartufo and an Italian wine. There’s a pizza that’s look fantastic.

All dishes were very good , especially a classic panini with tomatoes, a smocked taramosalata , a carpatso, the De la casa salad . The tiramisu was excellent.

It is more a cocktail bar than a restaurant therefore the music is too loud and our dishes were served after a long time. Too much noise coming also from the kitchen and the waiters. Not a real romantic ambiance as we expected. Luckily at least the quality of the food was good. I will choose it again for a drink outside.
