We came here for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed. The menu is pretty inclusive with two types of benedict as well as chicken and waffles. I ordered huevos rancheros and my wife got the short rib hash. Both were amazing. Of course no trip to GlenPharmer would be complete without the ‘pail of dough’. The atmosphere is delightful (we sat outside on the patio) and the service was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back.
Another fantastic brunch at GlenPharmer! Seriously, get the little doughnut bites - the sauces are always awesome, and they seem to make different ones seasonally. YUM!
It was our first time and the food was great, along with the service and the ambiance was very nice. Will be back for sure.
Food/atmosphere was really good and we had a great time! The cocktails were pretty good, they had fun choices and presentation. Would love if they served wine though to have with dinner.
Great food and great atmosphere! My friend and I talked about having parties there in the future.
Good and drinks were fantastic as usual. The chef is always changing the menu and the creativity with the drinks is second to none.
Took a friend for a birthday dinner. The food was excellent. Drinks were amazing. We took our time and enjoyed everything. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. A definite recommendation!
Great food, outstanding service and the best cocktails. All wrapped up in a very cool looking restaurant.
Everything from the vibe to the service and food were absolute delightful. Mina, our server, is incredible! She has a great personality, sharp memory and is very attentive. The cocktails are those made up and designed by a true mixologist!!!
Our server Bridgett was amazing and extremely knowledgeable of the menu and all the cocktails.
The smokey old fashioned was one of the best drinks I have ever tasted, and the smokey volcano was also very flavorful.
The food was just okay for us. We got 3 appetizers and figured that would be enough instead of getting a main course, and it was. The bread we received prior to ordering really didn't make me want to grab another piece like I usually do. The fish tacos were good, but I'm not a big fan of the corn tortilla. The short ribs absolutely melted in my mouth and were amazing, problem was, you only received 3 small pieces. The mezzo plate was good w plenty of food on it and helped to fill us up..... I will say that there were some plates other people ordered that went by my table and had my mouth watering. We will definitely be back to try some other dishes and a couple of different cocktails.
Beautiful venue serving creative and elegantly presented food. Dining outside was
I was recommended by a lot of people. My fiancé and I went for date night and it was amazing. The drinks and food are great. The style/atmosphere are sooo great too. Everything was fanatastic. Stephanie is such a hard worker and deserves the world. She was so sweet. We will be back ASAP!
Awesome salmon and pork chop drinks great loved the mai tai 👍
We had a very pleasant dining experience. The menu was inventive and offered many options. Patio dining was very comfortable and our server was gracious and competent.
Amazing, unique food. Great drinks. Great outdoor seating too! Our server, Chrissy, was outstanding and just so nice. 10/10
We had a wonderful family dinner experience!! Everything from the cocktails to dessert was really special. Our server was also terrific!! This is a really nice dining establishment and worth every penny!! I’m so glad we have a restaurant this nice in the suburbs ♥️
Drinks are amazing. The menu is wonderful, something for everyone.
Great outdoor dining area.
Service was wonderful. Cocktails are delicious.
The food was excellent, topped with great drinks as well as exceptional service.
We went for brunch and quickly agreed this is a great date spot, and would love to go back for dinner. The brunch sparkler drinks are small, and perhaps not worth $8. However, very tasty! Should have known by sparkler that they’re be tiny. Brunch was good, though my boyfriend’s breakfast tacos had a verde salsa instead of regular, which was not specified in the menu. Bloody Mary was also good. Our server seemed like she wanted to clear our table, since she came back often, but she was otherwise pleasant. Will definitely go back to try the dinner menu and eat on the patio!
The restaurant has a very nice design. Ambience is well done. Service was great & front desk. That was all wonderful. Food was sub par in my opinion. For the plate prices I felt the food should have been at another level. The drinks were good. I would honestly go back if the food had been better but my partner and I were not impressed with our dishes. Noise level is at a 10+. Which isn’t much of an issue, but if you don’t want to yell across your table I don’t recommend it. Overall I am glad we tried it, but will probably not be going back. Our server was great though and everyone we came in contact with also.
From start to finish, a wonderful meal. The “smoking volcano” was visually great and the drink was perfection! The octopus was delightful and not overcooked. The tuna was outstanding. Portions were perfectly sized (for a normal person - not the small, pretentious portions served at some top shelf restaurants). Service was amazing.
This was our first, post pandemic dining out experience and we could not have been happier.
Only regret is that we forgot to buy a bottle or two, on our way out. Will jst have to return, soon.
Lovely setting. The doors were open to the outside seating so the inside temp fluctuated. It was a warm night.
We loved the food and didn't have any leftovers.
Celebrating college graduation it was a delicious meal. Especially enjoyed the donuts and warmed dipping sauces as dessert. This is becoming our go-to place. Still miss the opportunity to order wine or beer but the cocktails are good. Great menu!!
Creative cocktails using house-distilled spirts and delicious food in an historic building. The eggs and glazed donut brunch dish was a surprise and fabulous.
We had Sunday Brunch outside. The waitress recommended the cinnamon bun since the other bakery items were not available for our 12:30 reservation. We tried it and while it was very cinnamony, was also over baked. Blackened on top, actually. It tasted good despite that. The hash was very good; the chicken not great. We were charged for a refill on two diet cokes; so beware as they are pricey. The patio was delightful. Lucky if you get an umbrella on a sunny day. 90 minute limit per the pandemic. But that made our reservation good until 2pm. Didn't seem necessary to tell us that when there were no other reservations arriving at 2pm. Having said all that, we will definitely come again. Lots to try next time.
Our server was nice and didn't rush us. The ambiance outside was wonderful! The only downside where the mosquitoes. Drinks were delicious. Food was good also.
Great food! Great Atmosphere! Helpful friendly staff. Menu with a lot of different choices and great drink menu.
We dislike having to write a negative review for any restaurant especially after the challenges the entire industry has suffered from Covid; however, we felt compelled to do so after our negative experience. We will do our best to be as balanced as possible. The good: the ambiance was delightful; our server was very nice, the cocktails were definitely interesting. and the starters were lovely. The bad: the main course dinner was beautifully presented yet was utterly inedible - the crab ravioli had a severe vinegar flavor that felt like the kitchen had not actually mixed the sauce properly, the lobster was tasteless and the scallops and clam chowder were sub par. And that is being kind. The ugly: the management explained to us that we had an hour and 15 minutes for our reservation and told us this 5 minutes before our time would have expired and 10 minutes after we ordered our entree. In his supercilious manner, he explained that he would give us an extra time allotment which was ridiculous as there were many tables and our reservation was at 5pm! We had read other reviews that the staff were arrogant and rude but we decided that we would trade off a unique experience for a bit of bad attitude. How bad could it be we thought. Bad. Very bad. So our meal cost c $500 and we could not even eat our main course meals. Combine this with the arrogance and silliness of the manager we felt we should share this experience with potential patrons . Needless to say, our celebration of our aunt who is suffering from terminal cancer was sadly not what we had hoped. In summary, this place is just form over function. if it was in Paris, Boston or NY it would just be an pretty below average restaurant so sadly not worth the trip off the beaten path.
Catherine, thank you for the feedback. Sorry for your Aunt. We were surprised and sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience. We discussed this with our entire team so we can improve our performance going forward. We realize that you, like so many, are unhappy about the 90 minute state-imposed time limit which is why we extended it to 2 hours. Your server truly believed you were having a great time and enjoyed all of your food. Otherwise, we would have immediately addressed the issue.
We were glad we tried it. Service was a little slow and took just OK
I thought the ravioli portion was small. Drinks were unique and eating outside was fabulous
Overall, we really enjoy eating here. We're big fans of breweries and wineries, so this has been a very exciting find, especially coming out of the COVID slump.
The wait staff has been excellent and very helpful, the hosting staff has been OK and leaves a bit of a bad aftertaste on the experience. They're a little uppity -- one time we brought our two newborns and they were upset we didn't count them as part of our party when we reserved a table (seriously?). A different time we showed up early for our reservation on a random Wednesday night. There weren't many people there at all, but they still acted like they were being put out that we got there early, even though I was super empathetic that I understood we may be putting them out. They still sat us, but there was an overtone of annoyance. I get that we inconvenienced them a little in each circumstance, but their reaction was less than one of empathy and service. I can't tell if they are trying to be fancy and uppity, but I can guarantee they'll be more successful if they lean toward being a bit more modern in their customer service philosophy.
All that aside, the food and drinks are excellent and make the visit worth it. Id recommend them both for brunch and for a nice dinner -- everything we had, minus the breakfast tacos (which were just meh), were worth ordering again. Food is very thoughtful, well prepared, and just really well executed. Anyone that misses the old Tastings wine bar at patriot place can celebrate! They also pay a lot of attention to their drinks - which, obviously they should - but the food has really wowed us and made it a bit of a hidden jewel.
I'd love to see a little bit of an attitude adjustment so that I don't feel like it's a privilege that they're letting us dine there - it would make the experience feel more appropriate to a distillery. Other than that, they're doing things right.
Great food, love the patio!
Drinks are exotic. Unless knowledgeable and experienced drinker not easy to know what to pick.
Maybe should have a taste taking system.
Great food with great service! Food was great. So far has not had a very good meal with good service and drinks too!
Everything was perfect ! LOVED the cocktails. Can’t wait to sit outside next time.
Incredible atmosphere and the food and drinks were outstanding
Nicely done space - lovely outdoor seating. Great cocktails, interesting menu and very decent food.
Hostess was the only sore spot. Called ahead to let her know we were running 15 minutes late. She informed us this would be deducted from the 90 minutes allotted to our dining time. When we arrived she immediately again informed us our time would be up in 60 minutes!!
We enjoyed dinner, dessert and coffee which took much longer than 1 hour. The waiter did not rush us.
There were several empty tables - during our entire dinner - so no need for her rude behavior! Maybe if she was nicer the place would be full!!
We frequent this establishment monthly, at least. This visit was best ever for me. Our drinks were amazing, my so out door dining was just simply awesome. See ya again soon!
We sat outside in their patio and had a lovely experience.
